I am really depressed to found out the end of the novel with the spoiler comments here, I should have not read…
Watching Tarn and Nut’s story unfold has me conflicted on the ending. Although I still think it’s cruel, I don’t know if I would hate that ending. What bothers me the most about the idea of Tofu turning back into a bear is the fact that him and Nut have slept together and built this romantic bond. In addition, I’m not clear if Nut is fully over Tarn. It makes sense that Nut is thinking of Tarn because Nut’s BL story is of himself and Tarn. At times I feel like Nut is longing for Tarn. Or the BL is Nut’s way of letting go of the past.
I think it’s great Nut is opening his heart to Tofu, but it’s also cruel that Nut is constantly being reminded of the love he never had (Neung) and the love he lost (Tarn). It begs the question did Nut fall for Tofu or did he fall for Tarn all over again…… I think both. I hope they can find a happy medium where Nut can have his cake and eat it too. Tarn was such an important influence in his life, it would be a shame if he were erased. But I Love Tofu so much….. I don’t want him to go.
Was that an identical twin or an older brother that looks eerily like his younger brother? I don’t understand…
You are so right! I should be grateful that Pat does get his happy ending. I was devastated when he cried over U. If it weren’t for Chin’s home life, I would have been P U all the way!
Unpopular opinions:After watching Ep10, I actually don't mind the series end the similar way from the novel version…
I agree!!!!! I said before that I feel like Tofu may be the bridge of fate connecting Tarn and Nut. This has got to be one of the best love stories I have seen in a long time. It could also be the actors doing such a fantastic job in their role. That kiss was the sweetest.
I really called this show stupid then cried on ep10 guess who is stupid
Hahahahahahahah!!!! I rewatched episode 10 and cried when I was watching the scene of Tofu asking Song about Neung’s close friend who starts with a T. Tarn was looking directly at Nut in the photo. I paid it no attention the first time around.
Was that an identical twin or an older brother that looks eerily like his younger brother? I don’t understand…
It’s something about this new potential love that rubs me the wrong way. Jacob: I’m in love with you. Bella: I don’t want you, but take my daughter as a consultation.
Why does P have to end up with a U look-alike or relative….? my heart hurts for P. Or maybe I am misunderstanding the story at the end.
I'm not sure if there's another episode and even though it's pretty bad overall, I still liked it. U, Chin, BB…
Was that an identical twin or an older brother that looks eerily like his younger brother? I don’t understand Thai, so I’m using visuals to help me out.
Yeah, the scene at the mall was really out of character for Toh. I mean, they're in the process of entering the…
I do agree that the mall scene was a bit ridiculous. It’s even more odd, but also kinda sweet, that Nuea let Toh be himself. Please share your thoughts: I appreciate that Toh is a peculiar character. He is a stalker in rarest form and obsessed with Nuea. He has finally captured Nuea, and Toh hasn’t changed himself for the benefit of “keeping his man” and he is allowed to be himself. Even Nuea is not trying to force Toh to change despite Toh and friends being your stereotypical “losers”. Nuea is great for Toh’s self esteem and Nuea has someone that gives him attention. That is one thing the mall scene taught me. They both struggle for power in their relationship and battle with finding out what makes the other tick. Every moment they spend together is like foreplay.
does anyone know if theyre gonna make the adopted brother and oab a couple...
Gosh I really hope not….. I’d be expecting Haebom and Taesung action only to be thoroughly disappointed. If you want it to happen I’ll still support you.
Well it has fixed Chap’s bad acting. I adore him and I have really tried to stan him. He always looks like he’s about to laugh even when he is angry. I felt this way in Lovely Writer and Y Destiny. I forgave him when he kissed Bruce and I’m forgiving him now as he’s man handling Green.
It’s not a coincidence that Nut is stuck between his image of love (Neung) and his reality of love (Tarn). This parallels with Na’s relationship with the twins: her ideal man is Saen versus Sipmeun who is viewed as the more reliable choice. (I’m still not quite sure why Na left Saen because I’m not sure I trust Jan’s version of events.)
It took a long time for Tarn to break down Nut’s walls, so Nut having to choose between Tofu and Tarn seems plausible. The whole letting go of a painful past to create a better future. It also seems plausible that Tofu exists as the bridge of fate between Nut and Tarn, so they can overcome said painful past together. If so, Tofu will turn back into a bear and stay with Nut forever. Tarn came back to Thailand and isn’t over his fist love and Prib created a fan site to tell Tarn’s story.
Although Tofu is his own person and Nut is falling in love, it’s almost a sick joke that Tofu became human just to be a doppelgänger for Neung. Tofu has the personality of Tarn and it’s clear that Nut is not completely moved on from Tarn. I’m sure Nut made some comments here and there, but for Tofu to cook like Tarn and make the same comment when kissing Nut for the first time…… It’s not a coincidence. After watching Nut and Tarn fall in love, I want them to reunite, especially since I don’t know why they broke up. It is strange that Nut does a lot of digging for Neung, but I don’t really see him searching or wanting to hear Tarn’s whereabouts.
I wonder: did the teddy bear manifest into P’Neung because that was the one person in Nut’s life that was pure and innocent? Neung was unattainable for Nut, so it was as if Nut’s love stayed in his heart as a fantasy. The bear itself is a symbol for childhood, innocence, fantasy and Neung represents all those things for Nut.
It’s been my favorite part of the series, so I had to watch it 2x. I skipped 4 episodes to watch them lol And Tarn never gives up on Nut. Reminds me of Pi and Mork from Fish Upon the Sky…. But better!
I like this series a lot, but the thing that I don't think will be adequately resolved, or really achievable within…
I do appreciate his deep rooted anger, resentment, and lashing out in physical or emotional abuse is not romanticized, nor does it go away with the gentleness of his loved ones. I feel as if Nut’s reactions to Na’s schizophrenia mirrors Sipmeun’s reactions to Nut being gay. (Dad is way more intense.) Nut had no one until he met Tarn, and it is alluded that Tarn was taken from him too. He doesn’t trust anyone and he is still very much alone. This is one of the most realistic shows that touch on topics that are still swept under the rug; mental illness, sexual orientation, death, domestic abuse etc. I understand Nut, and I understand that you can only hold your childhood accountable for your actions for so long.
I pity almost everyone in this show except Prib. She’s just annoying.
I believe both of you are correct. Yes the comet passed, Tarn’s cardiac arrest, and Tofu becoming human occurs in the same timespan. I don’t think Tarn waking from his coma will force Tofu back into a Bear. At least not immediately.
Tofu looks like Neung, but has the personality of Tarn. Tofu mentions feeling a jolt of electricity and the feeling of a heartbeat when Tarn goes into cardiac arrest and the doctors use the defibrillator. Tofu’s cooking of the pork is similar to Tarn. Tofu uses the same line Tarn used when kissing Nut for the first time. When Tofu faints, Tarn opens his eyes briefly. They would not have showed it if it were not connected.

I love this series as a whole, but there were questions unanswered and situations that baffled me. I should not have to read the Manhwa to clear up misunderstandings. If you’re going to create a show, whether it’s based on a webtoon or not, there has to be room for interpretation, but not so much that I’m creating entire plot lines.
I would have loved a bit more background on their relationship prior to entering the same class, and better transitions between scenes. I love that Taesung and Haebom magically became friends, but Taesung’s other friends had no clue TS and HB knew each other or lived together. Next thing, they’re all camping together?? These plot holes were everywhere.
The plot is simple and the characters enjoyable. HB shy, kind hearted, loyal, rational. TS: cold, loyal, protective, honest. The nuances in the character development and the relationship development are incredibly realistic and relatable. I would not be opposed to a 2nd season.

Her father made an appointment to get the ring and she told him that if doesn’t want to, be honest. And of course he doesn’t take the out.

I’m only at episode 5, but that’s my two cents.
