Yeh thats the one, from what I heard script originally followed the novel which is happy ending but iqiyi people thought an open/sad ending would perform better so they changed it using ai. Thats just roughly what I read can't remember all the details.

Yeh so annoyed, if you didn't know demon hunters romance was originally meant to be a happy ending but iqiyi/someone in charge forced a change, but yeh actors doing a great job here. No need to worry will be a happy ending.

In the novel it's different, he is the son of the new emperor/king of his country, when his father becomes emperor (right at the end of the novel), he becomes the crown prince. So the drama is a bit different with the family set up so not sure what will happen. You'd think if his brother dies, and has no children, then he inherits the throne.

Will be a happy ending, there were reuters of FL being pregnant near the end, so happy ending but with a lot of angst before that I feel 😂

I agree, kind of like Bai Lu, this year she took on northward which was seen as a massive change for her, not an idol related show, more realistic with broader appeal to the older viewers. Not attractive to idol/traffic viewers but having broader appeal to a wider audience. She mentioned this year in an interview she doesn't want to do idol dramas anymore and do dramas more appropriate for her age and more realistic (her words), to try reach a broader audience, and focus on being known for her acting rather then popularity or looks or anything like that. Whether you like her or not, and like northward or not, I think it's really commendable what she's doing. Not to discuss another actors on this drama page but I hope Xu Kai does the same and possibly fire investigator is along those lines.

Self preservation a real possibility, for him to be the leader you'd think he would be really strong so many yeh. I agree, I think big brother has separate goals, maybe revenge against demons, maybe smiler to ML demons killed his family or someone close so he's out for revenge against demons, pretty common in these dramas to see someone that used to be good, driven to the dark side in order to get revenge. We'll what and see hoping today's previews give us more hints, since it will be for 28 and 29, just before the heartbreak in 31.

Yeh maybe thats a good point, I'm just surprised, ML mentioned for them to leave the mountain its decision of elders above them or something like that, where are these so called elders, they seem like they're not really paying attention. And for a sect of righteous cultivators that fight evil and demons, pretty poor no one realizes something is suspicious or off about their elder brother. But oh well, we'll see how it wraps up, if big brother isn't part of the larger villains plot with WZS and is just a side villain then hopefully they don't take too long to wrap it up.

I hope so as well, talking with another person I regularly discuss dramas with on here, I mentioned I'm hoping they don't do the common plot where WZS regrets his decision right at the end and sacrifices himself to save FL, then FL cries over his dead body with flashbacks of their childhood. We need no redemption, just kill the man 😂

I don't think they'll officially divorce, should just be a cold war, even though she mentions divorce (in other clip posted yesterday) probably due to noble idiocy or blackmail. Also that scene should happen around ep 31, already pretty late for them to divorce and then get married again. So I'm hoping just a Cold War.

Oh true maybe yeh, they will resurrect cat master, either way hope his role is decent. And yeh exactly meant to be a righteous sect but you turn a blind eye when a hooded figure tampers with the formation. Especially, when you see ML almost die the formation and you can tell something is wrong. Idk we'll see maybe there's more then one evil person in the sect, we'll see what happens And definitely, I think possibly yeh, there was more focus on him then there should be if he was a minor character so maybe.

Hahah no problem it was a super long thread we were talking on anyway, I pretty much said about how his second brother or whatever in the sect that saw the hooded figure tamper with the bird formation in the sect and said nothing except warning the ML to leave after he survived. Like you not gonna mention you saw a suspicious looking hooded guy tamper with the bird formation? Thought that as weird. Also I checked the relationship chart again and the antagonist from wanted detective has a connection to the old cat master that defeated the big villain during the fire 18 years ago. So I think when WZS finds the black smoke a real body, it might be the actor from wanted detective, I'm hoping at least, such a good actor don't want him to be wasted with a minor role.
