The fl kinda reminds me with love n redemption. But she is the worst after knows ML personality n he also explain…
True. But I don't hate the misunderstandings if they are actually logical, if they help characters grow. But here FL has zero character growth. She already knows how ML does his things and still stays with him and loves him. character growth 100 to 100 is okay, 0 to 100 is also okay, but 0 to 0 is really not okay.
Why should we even care about her private life, decisions or options? As long as she is doing her job greatly,…
I don't consider actors as idols. They are more like painters, engineers, or doctors or any professional individual for me (although in some cases like when idols become actors it is completely logical). Even about idols I don't support getting into their private lives. I also don't support Zheng Shuang's ban from industry. Whether she is a bad person or good person doesn't concern us at all. We only expect her to act good, that's it. Her private life is none of our or government's business. I actually don't know exactly about Zhang Shuang's scandal, but if she is not legally considered a criminal, government doesn't have the right to stop her career and neither do we. The fact that actors get famous because of their image, rather that their skills, is wrong by itself, it doesn't mean we should do another wrong thing because of that. If Zhang Shuang's fame is only because of her image, yes her downfall serves her well. But for Yang Mi if someday I hear that she did a very bad thing, I am still going to defend and support her, because undoubtedly she is one of the best actors in China and that's all I expect from her, nothing more.

Actually we have a lot of noona romance dramas, but first, in this drama the age gap is really so much. FL is 2x male lead's age (in reality). Second, FL here is such a good actress and she is so beautiful and looks younger that her age. Third, the characters are written so that FL's maturity and ML's youth only affect them positively. She is so wise and skilled and he is so supportive and energetic, and when they are having time together FL becomes a bit submissive and girlish and that's very cute. It doesn't feel awkward at all.
If some assholes care about her child so much, they need to STFU bc first of all they know nothing, second of…
Why should we even care about her private life, decisions or options? As long as she is doing her job greatly, we should be happy for her and support her? right?
Why would you enjoy this drama: 1. If you want some realistic relationships, be it boss-employee, friendship or romance, with depth in characters you would enjoy it. Female lead would get several suitors during the drama. They have their own character and they act according to that, be it frustrating or not, but they are consistent and clear. Even about second male lead, despite being over-confident, you can enjoy his time with FL, if you try to think from HIS viewpoint. 2. If you want strong, calm, mature, and clear-minded FL with super supportive and caring ML you will enjoy this drama a lot. 3. The FL didn't look the older or dominant side in the relationship, she let the ML take care of her and behave like a man in front of her. So even if you are interested in younger woman relationships, you may enjoy it. 4. If you are tired of love at first sight dramas or usually get frustrated because you don't know why the leads fell in love together you would enjoy this drama, you will get convinced for a thousand times that they deserve each other. 5. If you hate breakups, delayed confessions, long misunderstandings, coward FL or cold and arrogant ML you can safely watch this drama. None of this kind of fake emotional disturbances exists in this drama. 6. If you enjoy friendship type of romance, you would enjoys this drama. The romance is mostly them supporting and taking care of each other, and helping with whatever they can. Despite not being passionate, their relationship was very strong and you could clearly see the huge difference between FL's attitude towards ML and her other suitors. 7. If like a drama with a lot of like messages, meaningful dialogues and you have the patience to understand every character with a fair and flexible mind, be it the ones on the feminist side or the misogynist side, you would enjoy this drama. BUT! * If you expect kisses, bed scenes, a lot of skinship, you would get disappointed. Nope! not this time :)
I cried so many times in this drama. I don't remember any drama that made me cry this many times. I cannot watch dramas unless binge-watching them, but for this one I could watch is slowly and enjoyed it a lot. I think this drama is for mature audience only. You should take your time to think about the dialogues, the situations, the characters, the reason behind their decisions, be them good or bad. I don't know if this much pressure on women to marry soon is actually prevailing in China, but other than that, this drama contains many realistic situations with realistic and understandable reactions from characters. You may criticize many character's actions or get mad, but if look them as normal people with common flaws and changes, it becomes understandable. Even the overbearing mother's reason behind her attitude is explained. ACTING: 1. The female characters nailed it! All the couples' FLs were so good in acting. Qin Lan's acting is very good as expected from a veteran actress with so much experience. Bao Wen Jing's sad and depressed expressions were so heartbreaking and touching. Lin Xin Yi was also very good with her expressions and although her story wasn't very interesting for me, I was really impressed in some scenes by her acting. 2. As for the MLs, Dylan Wang was not bad, acceptable, but not satisfying when you have Qin Lan in the drama. But his surprised expressions were gold, I laughed so hard at them. It was mostly his character that made me love him. Kang Kang as Zou Cheng wasn't anything captivating in the start, but as his story with Ziyan progresses you fall in love with his acting. COUPLES: 1. Main Couple were awesome. Despite the age gap in real life and in drama, the seemed very comfortable together. Throughout the whole drama, you can't ship any of them with any other character. Whenever their time comes and they are alone together, it feels like the time has stopped and its only them moving and talking. Their romance is slow-burn, not very passionate and takes a long time to develop. But when they were explaining to FL's mother why they like each other in the end, you realize that your time watching them falling in love was worth it. It is those romances that instead of hot or passionate feeling, gives you the everlasting vibes. Like they have finally found their soulmates. Nobody would ever be able to replace one for the other. I liked the married couple a lot. Unfortunately they had very screen time together. It was mostly centered around the wife and her frustrations. I hoped they also focused on the husband as much, but the conclusion of their fights and relationship was very beautiful.

Why you should watch this drama:
1. FL is the highlight of this drama: She is strong, clear-minded, charming, funny, forthright... just everything. She is so determined in her love for ML that nothing can change her mind. She almost every time just tells what is in her mind. She is so funny and weird in the comedy scenes, at the same time she is so gorgeous and attractive in romantic scenes, something rare to experience. Lee Hyeri Ri is so good at pulling off comedy scenes and also romantic scenes. Excellent actress given excellent character.
2. The story is about interspecies romance, but it doesn't fall into those annoying interspecies clichΓ©s. It starts of with some sort of fiction, and as the story progresses the story becomes more meaningful. I don't want to spoil anything, but I can definitely tell this: if you are scared of illogical tragic clichΓ©s in interspecies romantic dramas, don't worry, those don't happen in this drama.
3. The chemistry is awesome. Enough intimate scenes, a lot of lovey-dovey scenes and natural interactions. Both leads did a great job and they felt like real couple.
4. The story is very interesting. enough things going on to get you entertained. It starts funny and comedy and slowly becomes more serious with a lot of stressful moments and situations, but all of them leading to satisfying results, the leads most of the time make good decisions and they communicate a lot with each other, something that we really need in Asian dramas.
5. Second couple were awesome. They were so funny and the start of their relationship was because of a funny misunderstanding, I still laugh when think of the conversation that made them a couple. Kang Ha Na is a solid actress, but I didn't see her in a nice character before. Here she has a very nice character and I liked it so much.
All in all, this drama didn't have any of my favorite actors, but still kept me watch it non-stop, it means it perfectly satisfied my expectations, so anybody with a similar taste as me, would definitely enjoy it.
character growth 100 to 100 is okay, 0 to 100 is also okay, but 0 to 0 is really not okay.
