After trying out many recent dramas, finally this one hooked me until the end. I almost binge-watched it. I didn't expect such a clean and satisfying ending from a zombie drama, though this one has got more like a quarantine type of storyline. Reasons to watch this drama: 1. The leads: both are strong and rightful. FL has a very special character and mood that is captivating. Han Hyo Joo is indeed a top-notch actress. She played her character very very good that I really wished I could find a wife like her, for the first time, had such a feeling about a drama character. 2. The story: the story is about a virus that makes people go insane, biting other people. Whether you call it a zombie genre or not, in most of such scenarios, the story gets messed up. But in this drama, they do a very good job of making it more realistic and believable and also wrapped it up very nicely and perfectly. You won't feel it as a fictional story. 3. The characters: you can see many kinds of people and you can see all people can be bad or good and it doesn't matter if they are rich or poor. Because most dramas try to show that poor people are good or most rich people are bad, here we also have good rich and bad poor people too. The portrayal of disgusting, evil people and sacrificial, kind people was very well done. 4. The chemistry between leads is awesome. It's the first time I watch a special forces member FL and a detective ML. It gives me the feeling that this combination of characters can beat everything, no matter how hard it is. 5. The romance: Although you won't see many romantic scenes between the leads, the fake marriage makes it a family drama. Instead of sexual attraction and cliche situations that happen out of nowhere just to push the leads together in this type of drama, you can watch how they slowly become each other's family, each other's everything, without filling you up with dating and boring romance cliches. I could feel their intimacy, trust, and love so deep in my heart. Why you should not watch this drama: 1. It doesn't contain much gore and killing until the last episodes, so don't expect this to be a zombie-run-away drama where people are fighting with zombies or running away from them the whole time. It's about people's lives, decisions, and reactions when survival becomes harder than usual and when the strings of rules are untied from their hands. So even though the sick people look like zombies, they are considered as patients in this drama, not uncurable monsters to hit them in the head.
I was just missing this drama because it didn't have the Romance tag. Instead of a fictional, nonsense romance, you can see real love here. Here, in situations more severe than jealousy, misunderstandings, or revenge you can experience a deep and beautiful love between the leads. That's the ultimate type of romance I can expect from a drama. Are there any other dramas with this kind of realistic and overwhelming romance, with a lot of cooperation and interactions between the leads?
I cried at the last scene. How can be a merely 4-episode drama this much good?! The challenge was real and understandable, their interactions were very natural and amusing to watch. Even before getting together, they seemed like a couple, way better than many drama couples.
FL is too old to act cute. She is unpleasant to look at and the voice is annoying
You've got a very weird taste. She is so beautiful. She is one of the best Chinese actresses with a long list of great, unforgettable projects in her acting resume. And I think one of the reasons that helps her a lot for acting cute is actually her voice. It is indeed cute.
It is really a thoughtful movie. It doesn't lose itself in sexual content nor forgets its original promise. It is strongly consistent with the statement that BDSM is a preference, not an illness, and it is not wrong, but just uncommon. But it also tries to put this concept alongside many meaningful things, like love, consent, and responsibility.
This drama was good, it was fast paced and interesting and you won't get bored watching it. But, it wasted a lot of potential. Watching it was like preparing a decent meal and putting it into the trash can, instead of eating it, over and over. They prepare an arc for you, then end it randomly. And it happens a lot.
She plays naive/young characters on another level. Nobody can be believable more than her as a school girl. Even an actual school girl may not look as young as her. I hope she gets more young role, because I have not seen any actress that suits such roles as well as her.
being melodramatic doesnt mean the story is not decent. most of her dramas are melos and if they are making you…
I don't mind melodramas. I even don't hate naive characters, if they start to develope. But I can't stand stupid characters remaining stupid the whole drama. She, in twisted fated of love was given one of those characters. If melodrama means characters should be stupid, then I may have wrong intuition of this genre and it is not my type.
I have been waiting for this drama for like 6 months. Please, I hope they don't waste the potential of the leads with bad writing. I love both leads. Both are my most favorite Chinese actor and actress.
Very soon, after they come back to Korea and the actual story starts.
She is rich at the start, gets into some troubles that pushes her to the edge of poverty (she is indebted to ML most of the drama), but she manages to keep the gallery open. At the end, both of them are wealthy and happy, in the places they deserve to be.
A romance drama that I really enjoyed after a long time. This drama has a lot of good points that make you stick to it until the end and enjoy your time whole through the drama. 1. The acting from both leads is spectacular. FL is so good with her eyes, especially in sad moments. ML, Kim Min Jae was the best part of this drama. He has an extremely lovely character and his portrayal makes it even more likable. Only his presence made me happy every time he was on the screen. 2. The character of the leads are so likable and relatable. Both of the leads has very solid and convincing characters and didn't do anything out of their characters, although it takes some time for the viewer to get familiar with all aspects of their characters, especially the ML. ML's character is so cool. He is very loud, kind, rightful, realistic, humble, and romantic. All you want to see in a perfect businessman is included in his character. Sometimes he is very loud. He is not knowledgeable and that makes him more fun. He is realistic and views the world in a very practical way. Even though he loves money, he is extremely rightful, even more rightful than FL in some cases. He is never proud or overbearing in front of FL. 3. The romance is very well written. The characters (almost) never give up on each other, the bickerings stop at the right moment and aren't frustratingly dragged on. They have a lot of heart-fluttering moments from the beginning of the drama, yet they managed to keep the romance interesting until the end, because one common thing that happens in dramas when the romance starts early is that after getting together drama gets very boring, but it's not the case for this one. 4. The plot is not very special or complicated, or smart. But one thing is that it never lets you get bored, it doesn't drag angst or frustrating moments. You don't need to waste a lot of time to have some pleasant moment. You constantly have fun. Even in the saddest moments, the writers gave us some bit of comedy and they did it without getting far away from the main issue. 5. Despite being comedy, it has it's own serious and beautiful messages. I was really impressed when ML was talking about adopted and real children to the FL. It becomes really serious and thrilling at many moments and keeps you at the edge of your seat waiting for the characters' decisions and the results. 6. The ending is a banger! After watching more than 200 romantic kdramas and cdramas, it is my first time experiencing such a special ending, they stick to their supposed genres until the very end.
First couple's romance is quite serious and takes time for them to get together, Second couple's (Yi Kyung & Won Hee) romance is more funny than romantic. Third couple's romance happens late in the drama. The romance is not the focus of the drama, but it is definitely there.
She has a really nice smile. Sad to see so many are so quick to judge on her look. She is also pretty with no…
I guess I know what you mean, because I'm not a fan of the FL here, either. I just was very disappointed by FL in FIYS that I couldn't stop telling that. I tried that drama because both leads where very pretty and ratings were high but it was complete waste of time for me. Then I thought what is the point of being very pretty. Sth like that :)
