I don't know about this one, maybe my expectations were too high?.. It was mediocre at best.
I've seen lots of movies/dramas from this kind of a genre and message wise this one felt too lacking. I have no idea what was the focus and without having an edge on storytelling all those judgement scenes were bland, it had no tension, no build up, no nothing.
At least first 3 episodes had a certain novelty due to yoo ah in's acting yet even that wasn't enough since it had an unbelievably annoying character, aka arrowhead guy. I could not stand his voice, his scenes were excruciating to watch hence after seeing him bullsh*tting for 3 minutes straight I decided to skip his scenes onwards and oh boy his scenes were a lot, a good 10 to 20 minutes were wasted on that trash.
Anyways, this drama was one that qualifies for the expectations fell short list.

The first 5-6 episodes are good, but after he gets back into the role of President-to-be, it feels like a completely…
I called 3rd brother's façade at 6th episode, I mean it was too obvious and the elder brother was cute to me from the get go XD, it's usually the most unassuming ones that are the most insidious.
Personally I could only watch the first 11 episodes before skipping to the last 4 and even then I've fast forwarded like crazy. Sooo,
"I could have skipped this drama and lived happier without knowing anything of it." I think I agree with this, came for Terry Liu since he was really nice to look at Sweet Teeth and Rosy cause duh, she is so much joy to watch on screen but to say the least this drama was underwhelming.

skipped a lot, it was fun but idk, it fell short just by 1%, it was all clichés bundled into one big mess instead of you know, one big messy yet adorable fluff, it had the potential to become a comfort drama until it turned into a huge makjang and you can't have a serious/well planned makjang + fluff with just 24 episodes count with each lasting less than 40 minutes.
For a good makjang you need to create a feel of crisis, but when the drama in it's core depends on fluff+ romance, you just can't fool the viewer into it, every struggle becomes a joke at some point and personally for me it translates into a very poor viewing experience.
I wish they kept it more of a slice of life instead of whatever this is.

It's going to be really hard to watch them break up, *sigh* , I really liked Woong :( and Ahn Bo Young is making me like the character even more, btw I'm kinda amazed how Kim Go Eun nails Yumi from A to Z , thank god it wasn't a miscast at all.

Best episode of the season for me. A lot of developments for the staff, but also a patient story with more depth…
I agree with all of your points but this:

-Still can´t get behind the Ik-Sun Jun-Wan relationship at this point. It does not really fit in the context of this drama in which the characters usually show incredible maturity in their worldview and actions.-

We have seen how Jun Wan gets really lonely, it is constantly reminded to us, viewers how he is such a tsundere character and this is exactly why his relationship with Ik Sun makes so much sense. Also, I agree that all of the cast has shown some the maturity that you'd expect from a real functioning adult in society yet this isn't a conflict of interest for Jun Wan, towards Ik Sun he isn't pushy or obsessive nor anything that we could regard as a breaking point for his character design. He is simply yearning for his ex, and given how affectionate he really is, I believe it is very well in line with what you'd expect from him.

Of course this is my take on this topic, I'd like to hear your reasons as for why their relationship doesn't sit that well with you.

Rosy must have saved her country in her past life. She gets to act with all these handsome men in her career so…
....and here I was thinking the same thing for Yang Yang, all of his co-stars are gorgeous.

you can mark your comment spoilers - no need to do it in the comment itself then :)
Ahaha, I know that, it was on the spur of the moment, going back and fort between other platforms does that to a person XD thx for the reminder though :)

Title You Are My Glory Spoiler
Watching Raba is such a joy, she keeps getting better and better. I've started this drama to get things off my mind but who knew this would be such a great gem.
Some people might say this drama has a simple plot but in my opinion it had one of the best characterizations I have ever seen for the leads and their love story is as common/fairytale-like as it gets in the drama-land yet for some outlandish reason it is also so freaking natural.
I'm just blown away by how their love life blossomed, it wasn't rushed nor it made go "why on earth did these two fell in love" , they just made f*cking so much sense.

Anyways, actually the main reason I've kept watching this drama wasn't their love line or the extreme pleasure of seeing two gorgeous personas on screen, no, those reasons were only the toppings of an already well made rice.
What really ensnared my soul was Yu Tu's job struggle. Yes. I was just blown out of the waters when his insecurities were told, how he was giving up on science for money etc. I have not read the synopsis before I clicked that play button and oh boy, I was not ready for that, at all.
I'm a scientist, a chemist to be exact and I was having the exact internal struggle between academics and money, so when he was ready to resign and give up his dream, I was crushed, it just not broke my heart, no, it scarred my soul. *sigh*
I'm just glad that he could stick with his dreams, truthfully, I'm actually quite envious of Yu Tu, I don't know if I'll ever have that kind of success or luxury to keep doing what I love but watching him made me more self aware and I think it gave me that last bit courage I needed to go out of my comfort zone and try my hardest and best. Also Jing Jing's attitude towards her work was also praise worthy, at the end of the day both of the characters made me want to better myself.

I don't know how much I cried and laughed while watching this, wish it was longer * sigh * but I suppose every good thing has to end at some point.
The whole cast was truly so lovely, ugh, it has been such a long time since my heart fluttered as such.

Whenever I watch a school drama I feel like I've wasted my youth, am I the only one? I mean, it's like, as if I didn't form strong friendships enough, or had fun really, wasn't ambitious enough about academics or had no one I liked, wasn't passionate about stupid things that I could only like at that age...
I don't know, at the end of the day these dramas portray almost an idealistic school life with all those ups and downs a youth should face whilst in reality there is no sudden enlightenment about life, nothing that dramatic happens, no one is interested and invested in each other to go out of their way to laugh, love, hate, cry, be disappointed together.
At least I didn't have such an environment.
Whatever, I shall re-watch this and reply series whenever I want to reminiscence a past I've never had. XD

This drama beautifully portrays societal stigmas around women's gender roles while showing us strong characters that have actual opinions rather than parroted ones, the way they relay their thoughts are very well in their character design and not just thrown into the scene just the heck of it.

P.s. It is quite hard to come by a drama where I actually appreciate all of the cast, each and every character, whilst being a bit polished all the time, have a down to earth feeling, they give me all the nice fuzzy feelings inside, I like them a lot :)

I disgree. She was suffering because she had to live without money and fame. I feel story for XD and YZ.
I've never said Luo Qianyi was bad though. Also once again I'm on board that Youze is long due for jail time.
But as for Xiadong, saying that she didn't loose anything is something I can't agree, had she known who she was, she'd have her sister and her life ( no matter how hard it was) ,what she deliberately stole was Qianyi's bag/wallet/or whatever, not her Qianyi's identity, so it is not fair to blame her for that.

I disgree. She was suffering because she had to live without money and fame. I feel story for XD and YZ.
But he was searching for her... though not through above the board means.
Also Xiaodong is a victim in all this fake identity situation, just because she was a thief doesn't make her the worst person on earth, also given the size of her thefts she'd get a penalty at most, getting jail time for pickpocketing is over the top.
But Youze indeed needs to go to jail, for kidnapping and identity theft.
As for Qianyi, she was clearly done with Youze before the accident, also was cheating on him so I'd say only half of her resentment is fair.
One thing is sure though, Youze is not a healthy choice as a partner/lover, there is something wrong wired in him, a total creep if you ask me.

Here comes another person with a complex and bias. So, basically she is saying that rich people should never be…
Maybe I'll like this after all since Lulu Xu is such a joy to watch on screen but I'm waiting for it to pass the half-mark before I decide to invest my time in this :)
