Okay the twist in the ep18 was heartbreaking, expected yet still heartbreaking.
P.s. That scene where Hyung Jo imitaded Ga Hyun was so cute^-^, after this I need them to shoot a romcom.

Title 365: Repeat the Year Spoiler
honestly youngwoong has it ROUGH.poor boy got bullied to the extent of changing his name and dieting, had a lying…
I kinda ship Serin and Youngwoo now, like in a world where Serin plays her cards right and not turn into a stalker, they could fit well when you think about it. Idk.
One way or another everyone on this show seems to be pitiful, even the extras in the background might have a heart wrenching story.
Sans Go Jae Young that piece of sh*t.

Title 365: Repeat the Year Spoiler
I didn’t really like Se Rin from the beginning .. I don’t know why but something about her was putting me…
Serin was off putting from the get go and I was mad at her after the number she took on Ga hyun and Bae Jun Tae but damn, her death was so pitiful. She was a poor soul afterall, I hope at the end someone can reset and save her and others.

I love this show, it's my cup tea but aside from all the awesomeness of the story , acting, production and everthing can we just appreciate how Lee Joon Hyuk has a good guy role(hopefully it'll stay that way till the end). He has that perfect romcom face and feel yet almost all the dramas I've seen him(6 out of 7), he was the jerk, not the mention that he was in the supporting cast. Only in City Hunter he was an upright character yet those who've seen it know how he ended up.
Give this guy a romcom lead, I hate romance in Thriller/Mystery/Police dramas but when you have a romcom goddess such as Nam Ji Hyun next to you, there has to be something going on and since everyone seems is dying one by one, I'm not really against a bit of fluff in the midst of everything.

This writer&director combo creates pure magic, I don't even know how they can come up with such a great production each time. 3 episodes in and it's already a classic.

Title Itaewon Class Spoiler
I'm a sucker for cliche endings but this one was such a bore and it has to be the first time I gradually started to dislike the male lead or should I say he became more and more uninteresting.
Yiseo and Saeroyi's hug/confession scene in the midst of kidnapping was ridiculous, I've seen lot of audacious stuff but the drama settings made them okay yet this was so out of character for Yiseo and the situation itself felt comedic.
Jang Daehee's kneeling scene felt like it was for the sake of it, Saeroyi was never a pushover so we didn't need this scene to learn it.
aaaaand SooAh, till the very end she stays as my favourite, she is beyond freaking awesome, I think her character had the most potential along with Geun Won and I'm glad they've at least scored one out of two.
Also I totally ship her with Park Bogum now, their combination would be a total eye candy.

Actually you know what, I'm pissed, like... they just threw away a perfect chance to make this drama something really special for the sake of a couple hugs/kisses/all the mushy stuff.
Geun Won&Dahee&Geun Soo, this trio had tremendous potential to relay a beautifully corrupted famial relationship but they went ahead and made Geun won&Dahee your typical villians to the point they've lost all of their interesting points.
They've deserved more, I mean in the kidnapping scene between Geun Won and Geun Soo there was this beautiful moment, a couple of more sentences could've served some justice to their relationship but nope, writer probably opted out for that stupid confession scene. Also the phone conversation between GW&DH * sigh * at least give them a face to face talk for god sake.

Anyways I'm so done, I like to rewatch dramas but this one won't be one of them.
On Eternal Love of Dream Mar 19, 2020
I loved this series but no doubt my favourite part was the whole Aranya arc and I would love to see a whole stand alone for the Aranya arc true to it's novel counterpart.
On Itaewon Class Mar 14, 2020
I really wanted a redemption arc for Geun Won but the last episode made it impossible, I don't know he isn't a good person, like at all, but somehow his awfulness makes sense and I just don't hate him, it is so easy to be like him and that makes him more real, good or bad his character can be realized much deeper and complex then this. He is an interesting character to watch, his relationship dynamics with Dae Hee could get the whole focus of the drama and I wouldn't mind.

p.s. I would love to see a spinoff chinese style transmigration or reincarnation story where Geun Won turns around his life and becomes one of the good guys, idk i guess these days chinese novels are rubbing off to me.
On When the Weather Is Fine Mar 11, 2020
This is such a relaxing drama, I'm loving all that book club thing and if the story delves into rest of the book club members this drama could become something really special.

You are talking about Crash landing on you ( CLOY) right? Dear god, i was struggling to understand that! My dumb…
"It's interesting that the moment JH came to the south and saw how Seri lived, he immediately said he didn't want to go back. He wanted to stay there and enjoy a good life with her. Again, nothing wrong with that ... and I understand not wanting to live under the restrictions & oppression of the North, but I also think it speaks volumes about how much value Koreans place on materialistic trappings. I found myself being disappointed by this."

JH was already someone who lived and liked the abroad long before Seri, being a soldier was never his thing. Like you said they were being oppressed in North Korea so it's not money, JH family had money, he had influence thanks to his father but he didn't want that life for himself.

" I would have loved to see her grow a bit more attached to the village people & Jung Hyuk (because they treated her with love & kindness she never got from her own family) and become reluctant to leave them after she had adjusted somewhat. But all the time she just couldn't wait to go back to the lavish lifestyle that almost broke her. It would have been nice seeing her yearn for a simple, happy & comfortable life ... after going through so much toxicity as a chæbol dal."

She was sad to leave the people in villiage and she even remembered them even after leaving so what's there more to do or feel. And ofcourse she would want to go back to her "lavish" life where she isn't an illegal resident with a bounty on her head.
As much as this drama was unrealistic the irony was how realistic Seri was being in the midst of it.
Also Seri wasn't unhappy about her brand and company she has built from zero. It was always her family so why on earth would she give up something she has worked so hard for.It doesn't make any sense at all.

Personally for me, I end up disliking all the hyped dramas because they usually turn out shit compared to the…
Imo the cheesyness was the charm of CLOY, I cringed so hard while watching and that was good, it was fun. Also the side characters were written beautifully. I abhor Heirs, Playful Kiss, BOF etc type of classic romcoms but CLOY was good for me.

I'm a sucker for a good chemistry if the plot is steady enough or else nope, it gets boring real quick. One of my favourite series are the Reply trio and the chemistry I mentioned is much needed in between all of the cast.
I do enjoy one on one typical romance dramas now and then but without a strong plot and overall balance they fell flat for me.
Also it's not that kdramas became boring but since we've seen it all(it's been 12 years mate) I guess everything feels less exciting now.
Actually some of my all time favourite dramas are more recent such as "Live", "Life on Mars", "Rebel", " Prison playbook". It depends on your prefered genre, I love watching all genres so the new trend is pretty a-ok for me.

p.s. imo Crash Landing On you was enough to satisfy my guilty pleasure rom-com crave for the year since it had all the cliches with an eye candy cast and a good plot to boot.

p.s.s I'm shifting my gears towards to chinese market these days, they have some real good cliche stuff.

At this point I really don't even care about him, int the last episode he was soooooo beyond that invisible line…
Soo Ah actually never did anything that directly hurt or endangered SRY and it's not about SRY at all. He should be begging to Hyun Yi, he trampled over her life just like his father did to SRY.

geunsoo is such an ass. I don’t see how his character could change this much, he was such a softie throughout…
Remember his childhood scene where he was killing the ants, I thought he would be our villian while Geum Won redeeming himself along the way but oh well.
