he’s gonna be so mad when he finds out she knows 😭 more angst and we don’t got a lot of episodes to go
I think it's kinda better if she knows? Cause if she didn't know and was actually hoping for a romantic relationship, that would mean cheating. If they are only friends, than she's not a cheater (violating the contract tho)
It's not against increasing the numbers of students of medicine. It's about BETTER conditions for everybody working…
Man, believe me when I say that I'm a leftist and agree with most of the things that you say and they are not new to me. I'm not one to be afraid of socialism, even though Poland has suffered a lot from it (or rather - a twisted version provided by Russia). Let me reiterate my point - I'm not against people from the bottom of the ladder fighting for their own. But the government has to take into consideration not only the protestees' desires, but the common good. Here in Poland, a very vocal group is the mining industry. The government has been very eager to meet their demands in their last years. And I'm not saying they shouldn't fight for their rights. But when the government is yielding to one, not that numerous and pretty influential and elitist (in case of doctors) group, even despite the society's and environmental interest, it's for the bad of all people. So I'm not saying that SK doctors are not correct in some of their demands. But if they are against increasing number of doctors, if that is one of their biggest demands, and if it is because they don't want more competition because that would make them earn less - I think it's against societal good to agree to their demands. And I think that in that case the SK society is right to be angry.
Let's not forget, that the upper class are the ones for whom it is the easiest to become doctors. Because they have money for education in order to get to a good university, and to then continue their studies.

1. SK's society is ageing. So naturally, with time there will be space for new doctors in the right fields. 2. How else would it be possible to lower the absurd work hours besides taking in new doctors? 3. Of course, the law should be constructed in a way to increase number of doctors who are the most important to society, agree on that. It can be done both on governmental level, as well as on the hospital level tho IMO (the hospitals can set a limit of residents in certain fields) 4. From what I read, doctors in SK actually earn quite a lot. But of course, that's just a statistic. Also, I heard that the law introduces more regulations which would actually be improving doctors' working conditions. I'm not an expert, but for them to be on a strike for over a month?
For me, I can symphatise with most of strikes. I am all for better working conditions and being able to earn a living wage. But at the same time, in my country, there have been strikes of overprivilaged groups that just see the end of their noses, and don't care about the society, environment, and the government has been constantly meeting their needs because they've been afraid to say no. There needs to be a middle ground sometimes.
Honestly? Not surprised. It's a shame, cause it's one of my top-awaited dramas this year, and I personally don't mind a bit of glorification of doctors' job (as much as any other job in a drama: be it policemen, firefighters, prosecutors, I am aware that this is only fantasy and sometimes want to get away from the reality). But in this situation, the social situation is just too infuriating for the public. When I first heard about these protests, I honestly couldn't believe them. I'm all for doctors requesting more money, less hours. But to be AGAINST more staff (of course onthe condition that it will be well-educated and prepared)? Just can't wrap my head aroud it.
I just want JH to help DH so that he won’t be terrified of his sexuality. He has been repressing his sexuality.…
I kinda agree about the writing... i love the main leads, but the rest, the villains, the 2ML, everything leaves a lot to be desired tbh 😅 I'm still really enjoing the main couple tho. But when it's outshined by other plots in terms of runtime, like in ep 7, I could honestly skip the majority of the episode...
Unless DH has somebody back in the US waiting for him, there's no hope at this point. His ex just threw a "grenade"…
Shame cause I honestly was low key counting on the rekindled romance arc. Like "you abandoned me and went to NYC cause you feared that your family will find out". And that would make a nice storyline for DH to finally come out. But they'd rather add another villain than a BL storyline...
My worst fear is coming true right before my eyes. Ji Han feeling entitled to his brother’s life and dragging…
Your comment is kinda inconsistent. If you claim that the FL agreed to the contract and that's ok (and is not 2ML's fault at all) then why would you blame the ML for 'stringing the 2FL along', if she knew that he has eyes for someone else and she agreed that a slight chance is better than nothing? Besides, the 2FL and ML stand pretty much on the same leve family- and financially-wise. Whereas 2ML used the fact that the FL is poor and failing in his career to his advantage. He even called the whole deal an acting gig, which is really just a cover up for the truth. So those 2 situations are kinda incomparable imo. But you're entitled to your opinion, I like the ML but I can see how others might dislike him.
The distance between SML and FL is too much visible. They don’t look like besties at all. FL and ML look closer
I think the fact that he was insisting on the marriage even though she was never convinced closed the deal for me. From that point on, I didn't vibe with their relationship, as you said, they seem to get further and further away from each other. Probably the fact that they got no screentime together didn't help either.

I mean not to say that coming out is easy in any way, especially in Korea, but like, he's got nothing to lose? He doesn't want the company, doesn't want to live in Korea, he doesn't seem to have any relationship with his family (even with his brother tbh), he won't lose his friendship with AJ cause she knows already. So yeah, if he just wants to escape from the family and the stalker situation (we still don't really know the whole truth behind that so it's difficult for me to judge him cause I don't know what's going on) the best way would be to come out, as you said.

Agreed. For me the selfish one in this equation is DH. Calling it all an "acting gig" when it's clearly something way different. I hate how when she rejected the offer, he was still insisting. Like I get that he struggles. But just leave the country and go back to NYC. Why drag your best friend into your messy family? He's exploiting her bad situation, that's it. The show didn't really make me feel any sympathy to him...
I really like the scenes with the FL’s family. They are so funny and cute
I love the difference between the ML's siblings who want the brothers gone cause they want the company, and FL's sister and BIL who want FL gone cause they want her room for their kid 😅
What are you trying to prove? Yes, TRS is mediocre too, for me at least. The same with many recent hyped dramas. And if it wasn't, it still wouldn't prove anything. Damn, people just can't state their opinion nowadays.
No idea. And there are still people here that complain that the rating is too low. Like, even while I was watching…
He's the most paid actor cause he's popular. Not saying that he's not talented. But if talented people were paid the most, believe me, the world of kdramas would be much different.
What's with this orgasm-like hype surrounding boring shows? I remember many average shows being rated 10/10 after…
No idea. And there are still people here that complain that the rating is too low. Like, even while I was watching my 10-rated shows, I was far from rating them 10/10 after 4 eps? I'm reading this forum to check whether this show is truly worth watching, cause the rating is just so inflated, cause of the writer and ML... Sigh
