Ridiculously funny how people that LIKE the drama are pressed about those who don’t. Its not the only gore drama…
Yeah, correct. I find that on MDL there is only black and white nowadays. You can't discuss the things you dislike and you are automatically labeled a hater. I mean I understand being angry at people who start the show knowing they hate gore, sex and other graphic content, and then complain about it being included in kdramas (complaining about westernization and not being aware of all dark kdramas/kmovies produced years and years ago), but criticism should be ok everywhere.

People on mydramalist mostly want a drama about two destined lovers, a drama with a happy ending. Such dramas…
100% truth. Also the rating is correlated with the popularity. Even the best drama if not watched by tens of thousands of people will not get past 8.2 on MDL.

Title My Lovely Liar Spoiler
So for the murderer...
I'm 99% convinced that it's the company president. He started as the greenest of the flags, caring about his employees so much. But rn he seems like the main reason that the ML stayed hidden, also he gave him alibi, so super shady, also the fact that he's been ok with plagiarism, and encouraged ML not to confess his non-feelings for the 2FL, yeah he cares mainly about the company and that's it, he probably killed the girl (maybe non intentionally) just so the ML focuses on his career. I don't see any other contenders for the murderer, other than it being sth like - she was with ML, he left her in woods of sth like that cause she pissed him off and then some bad guys stumbled upon her and killed her.

The ironic part of your post is So Hyun acts like an adult in this show and in your example of Hidden Love, Zhao…
She acts like 15 yo girl cause she is playing one, she's not acting cute and cringey tbh, more like shy and then distant

"but I won't drop it either" Lol just drop the show if you don't like the acting, the chemistry, the story...…
I don't see a lot of hate tbh, mainly criticism. And I think there is a reason for it, as the drama is rated so incredibly high...

Watching this bcs in trending. I wonder why this got such a high rating with so many annoying characters in it,…
You're 100% right. It's a good drama to watch in the background, when I'm doing laundry or sth. But it's just mid tbh

This is giving early 2016 fantasy romcom and it’s so good. I missed it when dramas were just simple, romantic…
Funny of you to mention the "political dark subjects" when we have both a politician plot here as well as murder XD

I just can't get over the fact that FL's chemistry is so much better with 2ML. Cause we at least see some emotions on his face.

The main actor was okayish in AoS, in a support role, but he just does not have the ability to carry this drama as the main lead. He has one face and one voice, even for a person who's been through a lot and is an outsider, that's just too flat... I'm not trying to hate, I rarely talk about the quality of acting, but here it's just too apparent and is killing my vibe...

ep 12-13 preview : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAn6ui0Bh8wto all those people who were telling that we won't…
Even if the plot starts to move in ep 12-13, it still doesn't change the fact that it wasn't moving in eps 8-11

Meanwhile: "Disney Korea’s OTT Content Team Disbanded, 2024 K-Drama Lineup at Risk of Cancellation" https://kbizoom.com/disney-koreas-ott-content-team-disbanded-2024-k-drama-lineup-at-risk-of-cancellation/
"However, Disney Plus has not yielded satisfactory results in proportion to the investment made." - maybe because they still haven't released some of their dramas worldwide, like Revenant... but it's interesting, that amidst the actors/screenwriters strike in US they decided tk abandon their korean content right now. Makes sense that it's not bringing them major money, but doesn't make sense that they never even gave a proper try to market kdramas.

Parents are the leads, kids are minor characters so in future you will only be disappointed if you expect major…
Ehhh... I am already disappointed if you haven't read my opinion. If they make show about adults, please explain to me why for 1/3 of the show the teenagers are the main leads. Why not let the adults be the leads from the beginning and make everybody confused. That's my exact point - the shift of focus was too abrupt and too long.

Omg thank you, it's much easier to kick in a door than break down a wall, that looked cool but made absolutely…
I thought the wall would be made from carton/wood or sth easy to break, bot no, he went for solid bricks ><

Title Moving Spoiler
I know I'm getting dragged for saying this but I still have problems with the plotting. We had seven episodes…
Agreed. I feel like from last week I've been watching stand-alone 2ep movies, which are fine I guess, it's similar to what Marvel does, but it's not a movie collection, it's a series. If at least half of this eps was actual work in the agency or sth, maybe I would be bothered less. But as you said, those flashbacks within flashbacks are too much, they try to bring tension into these episodes, but in my eyes, fail to do so. The tension and high stakes are in the present and those episodes do not bring anything new to the table. Also the love story feels out of place, as if to give us at least some romance instead of bringing the rest of the characters in.

I feel like it's a completely different story from the teenagers' one, and no matter how many people say 'it was the parents story from the beggining', it just doesn't make sense to me. If it's about parents, make it about parents from the beginning, why confuse us and leave us hanging out here dry for 4 weeks straight.

I'm gonna throw myself under the bus here, but these 2 eps were ok, but nothing special. I feel it was very unnecesary to focus once again on a love story that this time we know definitely will not come back (also the chemistry was meh...) I thought that at least these 2 episodes will focus on working within the agency, to give us more understanding of it but no. They basically give no further insight to the conflict in the present time. I think we learnt very little new things about the ML - we already knew from the present that he's invincible, and that he will give up anything for his loved ones. Sure it was nice to see him as this big softie. But in terms of plot, these episodes were nothing new or groundbreaking. I think they could have just been condensed to half an episode and then the rest show us the actual work within the agency, which we have barely seen at this point.

Before I get comments like 'don't watch if you don't like it' - I LOVED the present part. Not only the teenagers, but their relationships with the parents. So I'm waiting for that. These episodes were ok, not bad, they do not make me want to drop this show, but make me much less excited for what's to come. I just don't feel any depth in those 2-eps mini stories when we get very little character development that we already didn't know of.
