Even if the drama truly deserves a 7-7,9 rating, which I'm not saying it doesn't, I tend to rate very harshly, so a 8.0 is pretty high in my book, it makes no sense for its rating to drop do much when SYIM19thL it at 8.5 right now. It's just that the buzz and the hate for SYIM19thL never got to the level of KTL. MDL's ratings are inflated very much, but I do not see KTL's ratings as a sign of change when SYIM19thL is rated so high. I'm afraid that just review bombing, simple as that.

Yeah, the marketing sucks, I'm also based in Europe, and if I didn't specifically search for Moving the day it was released, there's no way I'd learn about it from Disney+ page. I really hope that it will be a hit in Asia at least cause here I think everybody grew used to expect the worst from Disney+ after they kept shows like Crazy Love in a dungeon for a year...

In South Korea the self defense laws really aren't as 'good' for the victim as in the rest of the world. You cannot give your attackers more wounds than you received yourself. You also cannot be the one who started the fight. So here they would look at her wounds and the attackers', and even if they had it on video that she was the victim, it wouldn't matter to the police / teachers. She used inadequate (too much) power to fight them.

And about the social media, I guess you're right, I thought about it too. My only idea is that she was covered with so much mud, that she was unrecognisable in the video.

ML's flying abilities don't make a whole lot of sense in terms of physics, I guess we should just look past it, and for me it's fine I guess

Also I just love that like 50% of watchers tuned in for Zo In Sung, and we have barely seen him as of now, and yet no one is complaining ><

I know that the adults' storylines will be kicking in more and more, and that was my main reason for starting the show anyway, but the kids' storyline is just too good, I want more and more...

Other thing - did I imagine that they wanted to make it into multi-season franchise? I vaguely remember that a few years ago such news came out. Can anyone confirm it? I would love for it to have a 2nd season, as there are just too many cool plots, but if Disney+ doesn't do more marketing, I don't think that will be a possibility...

Seems like it was worth the wait! I was kinda worried about the director and screenwriter not having much in their portfolio in terms of dramas, but as of ep 3 it's going great. I thought that I'd be more into the brooding class president, but the ML is just too cute not to favour him. But I hope he stays in platonic friendship with the FL, I don't want his heart broken ;_;

I have the same question, I thought I skipped it or something...

An interesting thought crossed my mind - this drama managed to fill its entire runtime with the leads' romance and character development. No need for crazy family drama, betrayal, kidnappings, stalkers, misterious murders. Just plain and simple, their relationship. I guess that cdramas overall tend to be 'calmer' than kdramas, but I just can't get over that recent kdramas, like 80% of them, have this sort of unnecessary plotlines, which are basically just fillers or serve as a tool to push the leads' relationship int another level. This is why this drama reminds me so much of Our Beloved Summer, because its vibe was very similar to me - characters trying to overcome their fears and weaknesses, and trying to create a working, loving relationship. No extra drama.

They said "oh well" and you said "if you have nothing better to say, just keep it shut". It's nowhere near an adequate answer.

And let's be frank, if you have money to buy multiple platforms, you could resign from one of them for a month or two and buy netflix for that month. Or like you said, you can borrow an account for a month or so. But you choose not to. That's ok by me, it's not my business, but for me, what was said is true. You can support but for multiple reasons choose not to.

Even if you can't afford it it's sad, so I don't understand why you feel like someone is attacking you? If there is money going to the original creators (which isn't always the case with Netflix) then of course it's sad that more people can't support them in a way that they are compensated for their work more. No one is telling you what to do, if this show wasn't available in your country legally I'd say sure, you have no other options, but going out of your way to brag about not using Netflix when the show is available in your country? I don't get it. And the attack is totally uncalled for. No one looked down on you, at least before you started being agressive. "Keep it shut"? Seriously?

Yeah, I was wandering about the costs of hospital, and I too thought that it wasn't that much, but then Jiang Ying said that it's 100 000 yuan a year? That's a lot, unless she was lying... But yes, if you count that he sold his flat and rented the new one (didn't own, as @insideout91 pointed below), it makes more sense that he's out of debt now.
