This drama give me Empress Ki vibe!
It does have a lot of similarities, but Empress Ki truly focused mostly on the main female character and her interactions with the world. We really saw things from her POV and her journey to become Empress made so much sense from start to end.

You gotta watch Love & Destiny (just get past the first 10 episodes and it's amazing) or Story of Yanxi Palace for happy ending costume dramas. There's many more, too.

The one good thing about this show is everyone is so beautiful to look at. Literally all the leads and supporting characters are attractive. Makes it easier to ignore the angst lol.
