I just rewatched the ending scene again and couldn’t help crying. The ending scene was just PERFECT. I am sad…
SAME THAT MADE ME SOB??? i'm such a sucker for parallelism/callbacks in kdramas and they did this so well here with the tower scene

LOVED THIS DRAMA!!! 😭 finally finished the last two episodes and i'll definitely miss 2jiwon... that ending scene wow!!! had me crying again. it makes wonderful sense why this is a year-end drama now, being aired in winter - the whole show may be set in the warmer seasons but the very first scene, young jiwon meeting jiwon at the tower and running into him (which ended up being nothing but her dream, because he never came to see her that day) was set during the first snow. and then purposefully paralleling this at the end again, where jiwon does in fact come to see her at the tower - self-knitted red scarf and all that. cinema <3
i love them echoing that in the end nothing mattered anymore other than the present and the fact that they met each other again, despite the winding road it took to get there. and that reflected itself in the other arcs too, the bickering old men finally making amends and jihye confessing her mistakes but jiwon deciding not to dwell on it and let the past be the past. i actually really liked how they wrapped her arc up - when we're young we can be terrible people and we should own up to the terrible choices we make, but if someone tells us to let that old terrible self go, then we should do that.

this drama was a such a treat to watch and nicely wrapped everything up. couldn't have asked for more from these last episodes! sad to see not many feeling the same way but eh, at least i had my fun with it πŸ’• kudos to ju jihoon, jung yumi and the two young jiwons because they made this so worth it! also especially loved the OST which was timed so perfectly in the show, absolutely elevated the emotional scenes 100%

it's exciting enough at best, watchable at worst - it's mostly the character work and the fact that basically…
yeah that's obviously the reason but i still think the character writing could have been better regardless

does it suck that much? im gonna have very low expectation going into watch this
it's exciting enough at best, watchable at worst - it's mostly the character work and the fact that basically no questions get resolved that drag it down, for me at least.

Title Squid Game Season 2 Spoiler
just realized that park gyu young's character noeul, was looking for her baby if i remember correctly? and since the dad of the girl who had cancer just died, and her finding her own kid seems unlikely i feel like her ending will be that she adopts or starts taking care of the girl, they seemed to be building something up there with the way they introduced these 3 characters.

this really wasn't as awful as some people are making it out to be. yes it was underwhelming in parts, for example…
agree i am more than halfway done with it and it's not terrible but the fact that the novelty of the concept has worn off since s1 is definitely affecting me, it drags here and there and you start to want answers as the episodes go on but ultimately you realize this season is somewhat of a filler because all the big important answers are left for s3. the characters being less impactful than in the first season is also something that i noticed - so far i barely care about anyone besides hyun ju as well. from the corporate point of view you know why they split this into two parts - it was filmed back to back though - but i think it's kinda funny that netflix is so confident that people would automatically be on board and willingly wait longer for answers that could've easily been given with a few more episodes; if it weren't for some of my favorite actors i would've probably opted out by now lol
