I plan to continue watching from episode 41, but I went ahead and spoiled myself with episodes 47 and 48 watching…
i am still so mad how they ruined the main couple in two eps, like ???? If you want spoilers i posted the raw Taeshim scenes of 49 on my twitter in a thread here: (i do learn korean but my translations are often off so take it w a grain of salt)
The last couple of episodes I felt that Oh Yeon Do entered from stage left and possessed Hyo Shim. Awful stuff…
Thanks, friendo. I had war flashbacks to that character myself. Like even including with HS not even looking at Taeho while he talks to her, too caught and comfortable in her self-sacrificial noble idiocy misery. Honestly i thought today it would be the come around but it just got soooooo much worse instead π Would love for the Taebros to just leave together now for a sabbatical and ditching her miserable ass, ngl π
I am flabbergasted at the direction of this writer. Hyoshim has not learnt anything on how to live her life .…
Yeah it's a disappointment so close to the end. I even liked the writing here as I can handwave stuff if the rest is good. Here it was the main couple but now I'm not sure I even want them to marry anymore with this severe lack of trust from HS' side that came out of nowhere for stupid drama the past two episodes.
If you can stomach tearjerkers I can also recommend May I Help You which has a great healthy rlship between the leads although their relationship takes a backseat to the plot in later eps, they support each other and communicate well throughout. Also From Now On Showtime which is much more comedy-fantasy, but the leads have a satisfying slow burn romance and cop buddyship before that. Both no breakups with the latter having the caveat of ml trying to pull the noble idiocy on FL but she cures him of that in 5 min tops π
spend his life apologizing? that's funny, mans not even sorry, when is she going to choose herself and the people…
this is such a brainrot reason to not let this dbag die, like he doesn't even give a fuck and will continue not giving a fuck, thanks to being saved. But brainrot was the theme for HS in this episode so it fits lol

No breakup, but yeah.., just wait for the ending eps next week before watching them and skip those two. But tldr: writer decided to hammer the reset button on all of Hyoshim's character development negating everything built up before. reverting her back to a self-sacrificial moron who loves to suffer on her own. This two episodes are like a complete different show and I'm still have whiplash from this mind boggling direction taken here. It's just bad and pointless especially when there are so many things the writer could have chosen to focus on instead.
The betrayal is even greater than w TRHC bc the writer just had to bring it home w nice char scenes & wedding, but decided to jump off a cliff the last minute. TRHC at least was consistently shit halfway till end. There was a time and place for such a story arc maybe.... BUT IT IS NOT 4 EPS BEFORE THE END FFS
Taeho simply don't care, not even a slightest chance he will think he got betrayed by her. He trusts her judgement…
this all should have happened ten eps or so earlier then have a breakup which i would have supported in this case, and let her ass either grow past this bs or rot in sacrificial family hell. With reunion then in the ending eps, would have but this way? Clusterfuck. Doesn't allow TH to react accordingly, so he's no choice but to swallow her bs bc there is no time left. He's been trying everything he could today too to reconnect with her, offering diversion and comfort, but she only shut him down again and again, and then she went to do this shit without to even let him know. Red flag armada, right here. There was a time and place for such a story arc maybe.... BUT IT IS NOT 4 EPS BEFORE THE END FFS

i definitely pass on the next one and after that i have to see what is coming, tbh. I love that aspect of having discussions about a single show for months, good or bad, tbh bc regular kdrama are over so fast and don't give you enough time with the characters in 8 weeks haha. With weekenders there is more a sense of community with fellow viewers tbh, and also therapy partners if needed, like today π
yeah i went from looking forward to their wedding to now not wanting them to marry any longer in the span of 60 minutes. And next week she runs away? What is this shit? TH was trying his hardest to re-connect with her, having the patience of a saint this eps, even called her first to apologize after their fight, but she has been nothing but a cold and distant jerk to him. This is where i actually want a breakup where none is, imagine that lmao. What a clusterfuck and massive letdown.

writer really went and hammered the reset button on Hyoshim, making everything that came before meaningless. i am still shocked and in disbelief of how bad this direction is, jfc. Worst possible outcome and route taken. That is an achievement somewhere i am sure. TRHC writer would be proud woah.
They could have just stayed on course but had to mess up this series with the whole daddy drama. There is so much…
do yourself a favor and skip 49 then. BECAUSE IT GETS EVEN WORSE HERE. Taeho deserves so much better than this self-sacrificial "have to suffer on my own for the good of everyone" idiot, dear god. They really destroyed the main couple in two eps max, undid all the progress, the healthy communication, the trust they had in each other in the episode before for cheapass drama. Like how much better would the plot have been if the cheating dickwad were already dead but they find out why he left maybe even meet the mistress, but nope we get THIS BULLSHIT instead argh
The audacity of some people in life is truly atrocious. Hyosung's music teacher and the dad intentionally ran…
Well in Once Again it's basically reverse engineered with the leads marriage falling apart and them needing to work on themselves first before any chance of a second chance romance.
I'm an introvert so Taeho would probably exhaust me irl with his golden retriever energy at times, but it's fun to watch onscreen and I adore emotionally aware & intelligent people that are perceptive and listen/understand (to) you. That get you. TM is the opposite of that so he does nothing for me. I'm in my head too often already don't need another oberthinking person next to me tbh π dunno what my MBI is, but mediator was the title I think. I always forget the letter combo tho lol. Either way have a great time then in Korea next year and don't drive through the pass at night, you know why ππ
I am on episode 23 now, and I have to agree with you. While it is obvious that the female lead does not like the…
Haha I liked it tbh. Makes a lotta sense all things considered and is needed to course correct TM. It was build into the plot to begin with too, if you know what to look out for (his love for art, 'uncle' being strict in teaching him business etc. So it was planned from the start instead of being a plot twist out of nowhere and for shock value. Look forward how gracefully TH takes the news and to the awkward bromance of the Taebros tho π

Conflicts are good if they are not dumb, but this one is dumb tbh bc it is just a lack of communication from one side that makes TH assume she is getting cold feet. And instead to reassure him she is telling him they need to put off their wedding... again. Like, i would be upset too in if i were him, because she does not elaborate and leaves him with his assumptions and it is a bad feeling for both of them.
But as i had written above in reply to someone else, empathy is Hyoshim's strength and fatal flaw, all in one. I always liked HS for her ability to clearly communicate her thoughts/feelings before this, but she really has the flaw of getting consumed by other people's problems, family or not. She still struggles a lot to compartmentalize what is happening and hurts for her family due to that. This is where empathy becomes unhealthy bc there is too much of it in a way where she forgets everything else around herself in her tunnel vision and hurts other ppl along the way. She's a fixer personality to an unhealthy degree which is why TH will be the ideal counterbalance to her while she works on getting better in compartmentalizing and setting her boundaries, and taking other people's help for comfort etc when offered instead to suffer on her own bc she does not want to be a bother to someone (gosh the last one sounds so meee, it is scary, welp π) It's times like this where her years of loneliness and managing everything for others, financially and emotionally, shows most bc she caught then in the "must solve problem on my own" mindset and does not let anyone in.
I did see in the subbed preview now tho that she finally tells him about the issue she is dealing with (staying vague bc of spoilers) but things remain unresolved between them and he's leaving, still hurt. However it is just the preview that always shows the juiciest parts and is thus distorting. So there is that. It better be resolved tomorrow in general i don't want it to be carried over into eps 50 as time for nice scenes between them are getting rare(r) by the minute. I just want them to have jeju vacay, okay? It is the last item left on HS' list after all. Sigh.
It is to bad that the will end very soon, we probably will not be able to see Lee Hyo Sim and Tae Ho getting married.…
there is always a wedding. Even the trashfire TRHC managed to do a five minute gig, so we definitely get one, plus epilogue as there is a wholeass bonus episode with 51 after all
