The audacity of some people in life is truly atrocious. Hyosung's music teacher and the dad intentionally ran…
i haven't seen the subs yet so i dunno, but the prison scene is everything I wanted and wished to be there, because it is humility and humiliation rolled up in one for this demon, as there are no housekeepers injail doing the cleaning work... she gotta do it herself if under the threat of violence by that badass queen there. Definitely my fave scene along with KS chasing out her trash family with throwing coarse sea salt at them bc it is such a family drama staple trope ๐Ÿ˜‚

I always liked HS for her empathy and ability to clearly communicate her thoughts/feelings before this, but she really has the flaw of getting consumed by other people's problems, family or not. She still struggles a lot to compartmentalize what is happening and hurts for her family due to what deadbeat dad did and said. This is where empathy becomes unhealthy bc there is too much of it in a way where she forgets everything else around herself in her tunnel vision and hurts other ppl along the way. As we have seen as she motherhen-ed around her mother to the point of not going home anymore and now with suddenly acting braindead & mute around Taeho. She's a fixer personality to an unhealthy degree which is why TH will be the ideal counterbalance to her while she works on getting better in compartmentalizing and setting her boundaries, and taking other people's help for comfort etc when offered instead to suffer on her own (gosh the last one sounds so meee, it is scary, welp ๐Ÿ’€)

Also feels very forced by the writer in order to create some last minute conflict between the two as they have always been very very good in talking about and thru their issues before. Hope it gets all solved tomorrow i don't want it to be dragged into the last two eps ugh.

Also try Once Again. You won't be disappointed. No bullshit in there, just good vibes and characters haha.

Hyo Shimโ€™s suggestion to postpone the wedding upsets Tae-ho, and the two end up fighting. After reuniting with…
And he will be able to do his Sabbatical, but it is understandable that Taeho wants to sort matters out with Hyoshim, before focusing on his new position and the company. Which won't be taking that long (a few weeks at most) Imo it is a postponing for after the wedding i think on which TM is gonna participate either way as fam member (which hopefully will shatter whatever crush fractions are left for HS.) I expect him to leave after that. I. e. eps 50, not earlier.

SS hasn't enough spiteful energy for my taste after everything that happened, but threatening her children to NOT help dbag or else is a good start ๐Ÿ˜‚ I still think it is gonna be Hyodo coming up with the spare parts as he is the most redundant sibling in the story ๐Ÿ™ƒ

tbh it would be weird to promote them for solving the incident, as this hasn't much to do with the company other than the persons involved here. Was clear to me that it is due to rooting out corruption within as this makes much more sense :D And hey it stays in the family, on both sides lol

Yeah me neither and I think i could accept them having a conflict this late into the show better if it weren't so clear how the writer is once more playing Hyoshim on string and makes her dance the worlds' dumbest dance. It is very inorganic to her character to suddenly have her pucker up and not tell him anything about the family mess she is currently dealing with, especially given he is supposed to be PART of this family now as her soon to be HUSBAND. Uuuuurgh.

No breakup no but writer is pulling the last moment conflict thru misunderstanding card like throwing a deranged pokemon on the battle field that only attacks itself. And i HAAAATE it sm. This is fully on HS here tho as she does not communicate with TH what is going on, nor why she even didnt appear to their two appointments, even though she did it so well a thousand times before.

So tomorrow is gonna be a very manufactured by the writer fight between the leads tho i expect it to be solved in the same episode as well. TH just needs to cool off and HS to relearn how to properly form a sentence that is not a weakass apology without any reassurance for his concerns. Oh well, better now than after the wedding lol. Feels very much ass-pulled by the writer tho, very out of character. Guess she wanted to show that it isn't all smooth sailing for them, and at least have one conflict between them but it is so very unneeded as it can be solved with one single sentence. Frustrating, sigh.

The audacity of some people in life is truly atrocious. Hyosung's music teacher and the dad intentionally ran…
At the end she did bc this mistress was shameless enough to come to the cafe and apologize to lighten her conscious so she went to the hospital room and hopefully beats his ass, sick or not. She also threatens her children that they should NOT dare to help this dbag or else in the preview. Bc it is made obvious outside of all the cheating and abandonment that he did not give a single fuck about wife & children and mistress only sought them out to ask for liver donation bc they are shameless like that. dbag also had no plans to seek out his "family" ever it is all that hag and does not want to see them. HS knows that deadbeat ran away with another woman too bc as she demanded him to apologize to her mother and her other siblings she came in and asked "darling who is this woman" so yeah

HSung never knew for sure, he just suspected it but never expected his deadbeat dad to be this shameless. He was losing it when mistress dared to ask to help the dbag. Hyoshim is reeling with everything she knows but it is still super-shitty how she not only missed two appointments with TH (one fam gathering with granny and the second was idk either dress or location viewing) but does not communicate ANYTHING to her soon to be HUSBAND. Like, ofc he is worried and wants explanations for ditching him two times and all you give him is a weakass apology and blurts out "we have to postpone the wedding" without any further explanation? WTF is he supposed to think about that? I haaaate it when a writer turn their characters into brainless zombies just to create some late-stage conflict that would never be there if they'd just articulate a straight sentence. Like, he knows of her situation with her dadbeat and it would not be hard to say "i have found my dad. It is an all around mess for too many reasons and i need some time to sort it out. I will tell you everything later." See, less than one minute needed and he would understand. GAWD. Send brain down from above, it is direly needed,

That prison scene with the demon getting told very clearly how things are now where she is in a group cell with others was my fave, also KS halmeoni chasing away her trash family with salt ๐Ÿ˜‚ Everything else was more upsetting than it had any right to be so close to the end. Cheating scumbag should rot but i bet one of the siblings gonna save him nonetheless ๐Ÿคฎ My bet is on Hyodo, then.

I hate with every part of my fiber how the writer made HS lose all ability to communicate and turn her into the stereotypical kdrama FL who can't articulate a straightforward sentence when asked what the issue is of them acting so uncharacteristically all the sudden. But it wasn't for the lack of trying on TH's side, he WAS present and offered to listen, just HS is turned braindead suddenly bc the writer needs some shitty drama thru misunderstanding at the very end. Hope Hyosung at least puts Taeho aside to tell his bro in law what is up, bc i don't expect HS to do more than stop and stare and give weakass without giving any explanation tomorrow either. AAAAAAH. I hate everything. No wonder TH is like... is there another guy? But no, hun. It is not you, nor another guy. Just the writer throwing out tired kdrama clichรฉs into the field last minute like a deranged pokemon who self-crits during attacks.

Exactly plus he basically turned Taesan upside down in regards to the festering corruption in its underbelly that was not only tolerated but actively advanced further. He shone light on that, together with a prosecutor and later on TM as well. But it's true that TM has been blind to it or ignoring it for far too long till TH shook things up. So yeah, deserved promotion as he helped to make the company a better place without all the corruption within. Plus, it all stays in the family, either way ๐Ÿ˜

Wow, you made such a quick progress, nice. I guess you are also nearing the big plot twist then, heh. I never cared much for the technicalities of the business or company hence why I handwaved most of it as workplace politics and ignored corruption, especially from TM's side he is so blind to that it's ๐Ÿ˜ต tbh and it needs TH here to shake things up as a wake up call even if he's not as trained as TM is. Then again, TM is (willfully) blind to many things atp ๐Ÿ™„ and it only gets better around the 40-ish episodes. But like you I watch it for the leads so handwae a lot of things regarding other matters, but it all comes well together later on imo, especially as the truth about the accident is revealed. Still the main couple is one of my faves in all of kdrama due to how healthy their relationship is. Even if they are dealing with things on their own they let the other know and I fully understand TH for example not wanting to pull her into his fam mess & into the crossfire bc as adult you have to deal with things on your own at times w/o involving ur S.O. Doesn't mean he won't share what happened how he feels etc but it's just what you do then. Common sense and all that. Same with HS and the gym then. While their communication had some hiccups with the I don't want to bother the other mindset at first they grow past that & closer still due to being this open about their own thoughts and feelings to each other. It's always handled with empathy and kindness on both sides and I wish more kdrama couples were written like that ngl. Not to mention their banter is amusing on top of that. They really get each other and it shows in every aspect of their relationship ๐Ÿฅฐ

Not sure if you watched the part or skipped it, but Taeho actually sought out the woman in the search of his grandma in the beginning, and she has been avoiding/refusing him answers bc evil aunt has been threatening her and her child. Now, a few months later, she had her child and is very shocked to see him again (she knows of the drugging and imprisonment of grandma, was her nurse for months) It is all part of the plot, dw. Taeho is super whipped for Hyoshim only, from start to finish. I bet if a woman would try to flirt he would notice but ignore it heh. That woman is not that tho, but just an informant for crucial plot detail he's gotta know.

Smart choice. It's funny how that was my first weekender and has now become one of my most despised kdrama experiences made ever ๐Ÿคฃ I even wrote a rant review about it that hopefully saves many people the anguish I felt watching it crash and burn harder than the Hindenburg ๐Ÿ˜‚ LOYL is the opposite of it as not only is it a family drama clearly set in 2023 instead of 1953 in its feel/attitude, it shows it has an experienced family drama writer at the helm so despite slowness everything is well structured and no plot point forgotten about. It's a pity people overlook this fam drama or give it a pass because its predecessor was spectacularly terrible ๐Ÿ˜ฉ (I'll pass on the next one tho since it's from the Young Lady And Gentlemen writer which was batshit crazy screechy makjang, nope nope nope)

I would not advise to skip the full first 22 episodes or so bc you miss so much of the leads relationship progress,…
Yeah but other than seeing who is on screen you see nothing of the scene tbh so it's not a biggie imo. While the drama is still ongoing it is very close to its end, so you can actually treat it like a completed drama already, especially with so many eps to catch up on for new viewers. I need to sit down and write a comprehensive review for it, so ppl know what to expect and how they should not give up on it early on since the journey is worth it & imo a very satisfying watch, and not just for a family drama ๐Ÿ˜Š

That's why I call her gremlin bc she behaves like one who came in contact with water ๐Ÿคฃ But yeah she is a narcissistic pos who cares only about herself and constantly uses her emotions as a weapon and emotionally manipulates her grown ass children. Hyoshim standing up to her without backpeddling like in eps before is so satisfying to see after eps 25 (she moves out not much later too) ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Yeah as said before between eps 15 - 25 or rather 20-25 in particular the only really watchable part are the leads together and their cute relationship progress. As you have recognized everything else goes in circles at that time but then takes off too halfway thru. It's almost like the writer waited to hit the gas pedal till then. Because then things are constantly moving forward till the end. The Villa residents are quite annoying in the first half and more filler than anything but they get to be likable later on since they bring a much needed sense of community into the show, and Kkeut Soon became one of my face side chars then due to her unwavering support for Hyoshim and as soon it is known for Hyoshim and Taeho together. The captain of their ship, truly ๐Ÿ˜ Hyosung is the only sensible brother Hyoshim has and even he has bouts of unfounded animosity toward TH as soon he finds out his sis models for the company and that TH fancies her. It has a satisfying development tho going forward as he learns to trust and appreciate TH. Her other brothers stay the same egoistical assholes for a long while tho but they get their respective wake up call later on. Just takes a long while is all. Oh and unlike other weekenders which are forgive and forget here the baddies gonna be punished and I hope to see them in jail attire this weekend haha.
