That is not correct tho, that user is overly negative towards this show. Everything after eps 25 moves at a good pace, the writing is structured & solid, all things get addressed and arcs progress steadily, character development happens for some characters faster, for some takes a long time as it is usual in weekenders. HS moves out and stands up for herself, asserts boundaries together with new bf Taeho with whom she has one of the most healthy relationships in kdrama. No overwrought drama between them no breakups, just support, empathy, good communication and cute banter and hugs. They have their hiccups in between but that's realistic in a relationship and they solve their issues always with kindness and understanding instead of accusations and screaming. Helps to have two very emotionally intelligent and aware leads, really.

Sure are always characters that stay grating but that's the case in every family drama tbh. However we are now in the ending eps where everything is wrapped up nicely and time is taken for all of its characters to tie off any remaining arcs, and it had been for me the most satisfying weekender watch since Once Again. Because the writer knows what she is doing and it shows. Main plot is resolved in a carthetic way too, with the baddies being punished as they should be. The biggest flaw LYOL has is its slow midsection where you think it's going nowhere, but oh boy does it ever. A lot. It steadily improved ever since the halfway mark and is now about to end on a very satisfying note.

I struggle with watching kdrama atm due to a slump, to start new ones and am losing interest before they end. But this one already has caught my attention with the leads harmonizing so well, the (situational) humor humoring and FL being written with brains and wit who stands up for herself. Thankfully not long anymore to the next episodes :D

He is more like SML with a lead role in this regard, aka he will (hopefully) have his own story apart from FL who is his best friend. Hope it ends with him staying true to himself and not hiding behind a fake marriage. Romance-wise FL will be paired with his younger brother that already is crushing on her

Also Taeho was the cutest today, he honored TM's wish in going into full on golden retriever mode to win over the gremlin 😆 And as suspected her resistance was futile haha. But her whole shtick was just a plot device to block their wedding while the main plot was still in full swing anyway. So yeah, now where that is wrapping up with the baddies getting their jail ticket, there was no reason to further prolong the disapproval show.

And TH's phone banter with his fiancee was the most married one i have seen from an engaged couple, lmao. They are so comfortable with each other, they share one braincell now and i love it and their banter sm. HS: "He will be the death of me" *smiles fondly* haha. So married.

This is such a nice and satisfying wind down from the plot climax with some low stake subplots (KS halmeoni who deserves sm better, damn what trash humans) And my hunch was right that writer nim is using the remaining eps for wrapping up loose threads and for spending time with the characters, which is very much preferred to making a five minute epilogue supercut, really. Also TH does a proper proposal tomorrow, including very shiny ring <3

Really, it started so slow and went in circles in the beginning/middle, but since eps 25 has become one of the most satisfying weekenders i have ever watched, bc the writer knows what she is doing. Everything has a clear structure, build up, resolution, and direction, which is so so so so cathartic after the headless chicken race on fire and down the cliff that was THRC. (Another reason why i will skip the next weekender bc i expect it to be as messy as TRHC yikes)

Taemin is like a pokemon that needed 40 yrs to evolve but has now reached his final, much better Taebro form🤣 Srsly, this was so satisfying & cathartic to watch today. Really happy w the path writer nim has taken w TM. A less skilled writer would've let him taken the fall for his "parents" again, blind loyalty till the end. But he's really broken free from everything now, even showing emotions openly & protecting his younger bro. And they support each other. The two mirroring scenes of each brother holding the other back from... doing worse to ppl who deserve first at the start, then at the end of the eps, was very poignant for that. Love how they have each others' backs now, at last.

Pity tho it took THIS long to see this and this ultimate form of Taemin tho. He is much more likeable this way. Best side-effect is he's no longer hung up on HS due to TH dating/marrying her, thankfully. Learned the bro code at last, i see 😂Also thx to his new sis in law, TM gets a chaotic fam free of charge on top🤣 I bet tho after that is over that he's gonna take a sabbatical and travel europe or smth. It feels like he is gonna be taking a sabbatical, more like. And he should, this man is tired and needs time to figure out what to do with his life, going forward. So my guess is that we'll see him leaving, but before the epilogue timejump and then post timejump return refreshed to the company. I doubt TH wants the position now as it was never about that, but the corruption within and needing "power" to clean house. After that happened now, in joint cooperation with his bro, there is no need for this anymore and he's gonna focus more on his wife and fam/his own fam plans, while keep doing his job, i bet.

But i really can't blame TM if he wants to paint for a while in Paris now after all this, haha. Let the man breathe and process, he needs it, heh.
