It doesn't happen in any of the other weekenders i have watched (Five Enough, Once Again, Homemade Love Story, Never Twice) So no, it seems to be a very recent shitty trend of dumbass FL's cruelly abandoning everyone, ML who suffers most under it in particular.

i concur. He has been done as dirty as Taeho has by the writer in the last four episodes. Like he should get away, go on some extended vacation to find himself (pls take TH with you then, so you can bond over shitty ppl in your lives and find some ladies that will appreciate you both) not driving around this insipid tool of a "sister" who then falls sobbing on the floor in front of a murderer, feeling more for this trash human than she ever did for any of the family members actually affected by it. Hell TH was treated like a minor side-character today who got to know everything that happened last and TM has basically stopped existing. YIKES. The Taebros deserve better than this massive heap of shit presented now by the writer tbh.

Everything about the last three and with tomorrow four episodes is a massive disappointment and will forever tarnish this drama for me.

hajun was happy and content with filming this drama and the role was made for him, lbr. Also everyone of his crew & cast loved him & enjoyed working with him, including his co star Uee. He even gave his team farewell money and has earned enough to take a well deserved break now. He is really such an adorable king and i hope he gets more ML role offers soon.

As for his char, well guess this enabled him to show a less happy go lucky side of TH at least, if there is any positive aspect. And yeah we can dust off all the OH NO SHE IS GONNA RUN AGAIN jokes made with Yeondoo before bc they are doubly valid with this dumbass. However, for some unfathomable reason tho, TH is still hellbent on marrying her, which he is gonna be doing in the end, i presume. Maybe we should have a clicker counter or something to record how often she's gonna book it from him till then. Best if he implants a gps chip under her skin or something post marriage bc that habit... won't die unless she undertakes years of therapy. To which he can accompany her then, for severe abandonment issues she has caused him/amplified through her disappearance. It's tru luv you see?!

you and me, both. As everyone knows here, I cared most about the main leads/couple and now all that had been good and enjoyable about them, built up in 25 weeks no less, has been flushed down the story toilet in a fit of nonsensical writer idiocy.

The worst part is, including episode 47, this has been a very enjoyable family drama with a clear structure, great main leads that were adorable together and supportive of e/o and sound resolutions to prior story arcs. Then the whole deadbeat dad bs happened and it went fully off the rails last minute to the point where prior characters were suddenly unrecognizable in their behavior (yes i am talking about HS here) and everything just crashed and burned in a ball of fire because the writer couldn't handle an one episode extension and rewrote what looks like the whole deadbeat dad thing to fish for higher ratings with superfluous overwrought drama that wasn't native or fitting to the show's theme, narrative and story.

Unfortunately with ruining everything constructed before due those four ending eps, this is all that people will remember of it in the end, because this bitter taste will linger beyond the drama's completion tomorrow. And that is even waaaaay more disappointing than TRHC ever was. Because it was at least consistently bad in the second half whereas LOYL ambushed and blindsided you with sudden out of nowhere bullshit that is super discordant with the rest of the show and negated everything done before it.

This has been the problem with TRHC's FL's as well and she pulled this cowardly/callous stunt while being under duress with ML's mother and her psycho ex threatening her and her unborn child at least, so i had a minuscule amount of understanding for her there. But HS has ZERO reasons to abandon and then ghost TH for a year. NADA other than becoming the same selfish uncaring asshole just like her father was.

i haven't experienced such callous runaway fl's in weekenders with ML left to suffer on his own before THRC tho. So it seems to be a new shitty archetype that cropped up with TRHC. Dunno if you have watched other weekenders but the older ones don't pull this bullshit stunt. Especially NOT with a timeskip of a year. I honestly could have stomached three months or so, but a full year of suffering for ML while FL doesn't give the slightest fuck and them then getting back together after all? HELL NO.

You and me both, friend. There is absolutely ZERO NONE NADA reason for her to abandoning Taeho, who came to find her and she apologized to for everything not even hours earlier. I would understand her ditching her family after all bc they are still the same inconsiderate ingrates (minus Hyosung) but the man who stood at her side, helped her through every crisis and has been nothing but understanding for any of her issues? NOPE. She should have left together with him for it to make ANY sense, but instead she ditches him to go live her life, not caring one bit about what it means to him, the hurt she causes.

Though as you said female kdrama writers seem to have that weirdass fantasy of a man pining for his love no matter how cruelly and cowardly she abandoned him and this OVER A YEAR! Like, he goes to find her in tomorrow's eps and atp i would cheer him on to just find her to dump her ass on his terms and give her a piece of mind, but of course it is to reunite with his one tru wuv™ only. As said, Taeho should just ditch her and marry me.... err go back to the US and find a woman who appreciates his effort and kindness & treats him with the respect you would want from your partner. HS voided all of this starting with episode 48 and counting.

The main lead (read Hyoshim) bullshit aside, i just loved how THee this dumb mf shed more whaa whaaa tears for the murderer of Taeho's and Taemin's parents than ever feeling sorry for TH & TM and her grandma combined. Am i supposed to feel sorry for this asshole? Because i don't as she is clearly not for ppl who deserve it. The whole episode was shit but this part annoyed me a lot.

And yeah as said, since this dumbass does not appreciate this emotionally intelligent, supportive and kind king, Taeho should just marry me instead.🤣 Imagine rejecting a guy like that, could not be me. She ditched everyone, yes. While i understand how she is pulling the emergency line with her still inconsiderate af asshole family (that "congratz to your surgery" cake was the most tonedeaf thing i have witnessed for a long time) I have zero understanding of her abandoning Taeho, who is the one person who supported her throughout thru this and has been understanding till the end. He wasn't even mad at her after he found her, hell. Like, if her fam is the cause and it looks this way, she should have left with him together and then return a year later maybe but this is beyond cruel and unfair to Taeho this way. Given how he also has his share of trauma which entails fearing to lose the people he loves/being left alone. But fuck him, amiright? Doesn't count bc HS is incapable of facing her issue like an adult, so he has to suffer for it.

Generally tho, it all reeks for a ploy to rake in higher ratings because it is so disjointed from the story the writer has told before this, as said before. Plus that story arc ain't the worst in itself but it should have happened in the midsection of drama if at all, where this dumbass would have had ample time to grow and learn on her own without ditching TH after the promise of marriage. At the end of the show tho it destroys everything they have built up in 30+ episodes of the main leads' relationship.

Weekender FL runaway dumbtitis, done for the quotes bc writers still are so stupid to think that viewers hate and are bored with happy wholesome things at the end of a show and want superfluous idiotic angst instead of showing how far the characters have come & live better now. Because having catharsis for a long story and the characters you spent 25 weeks with is so 2022, they don't do this anymore in weekender dramaland.
