finally decided on her new nickname, which is Goldi Goblin, because goldi is short for golddigger and goblin is the fantasy creature notorious for being obsessed with wealth/money. So it fits too well xD

Oh and her mother is the bridge-troll, bc she is also shrieking every time when someone passing her by is not paying up.

yeah, i love how he keeps checking in with Yeondoo, like it is not just for show or because he needs her for that contract marriage to escape that goblin. Nope, her safety and comfort is genuinely important to him. He is also very good in expressing his thoughts and feelings and facing conflicts head on, so far. Hope it stays that way. He is very honest, genuine and cares a lot about the people around him (even to his own detriment often) and indeed deserves better than all the abuse/insults and lack of affection given to him by his so-called family. Excluding his mother ofc, because she definitely raised him right :D

But yeah give Gong Taekyung a break 2023, fr.

haha, nope. I know it is a bit trite to compare anything revenge kdrama with that show but i could not NOT think of it during the last scene of eps 7 (also him being a grey-moraled lawyer too ofc), and him slamming his bloodied hand on the parchment as a way of "promise" to hunt him down. So so so good <3

damn, i didn't catch that, but no surprise here. Her rotten behavior has no bottom/limit. Taekyung looked 10000% done with her during her wailing scene in their clinic. and it was so relatable 😂 He dodged SUCH a huge bullet with that obnoxious asshole not being part of his family after all, he better starts adoring the ground Yeondoo is walking on 😁

But then again, i just remembered that he IMMEDIATELY tried to call Yeondoo to check in on her, being the doting/worried (future) husband that he is hehehe

aww i got that he said something about heart beat and thousands and feelings, but could not place it in a full sentence, whoops. This is so sweet, aww. (ngl, the sweet way he acts with YD's niece and how much she already adores her new uncle is pretty telling that he is gonna be best dad <3)

I recced them bc i heard they are good. Tbf, i have all of these still on my watchlist and yet to watch. The only other family drama i have started to watch now is Five Enough, but i plan to make my way through the others too in time. TRHC taught me to not be afraid of big boi dramas (aka with lotsa episodes) haha. I skip some things in FE, but overall i really enjoy the long ride. I feel FE is more grounded than this one here, where you have a hairpulling fight almost every episode 😂

Yeees, i mean it is basically his "you get out of (marriage a witch) jail card, so it is understandable to grow fond of it haha. But if i am not mistaken he even briefly closed his eyes to listen to its heartbeat and told her "this baby is the reason we met" with a smile 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Yes. Honestly this is the first drama in a long time where i like all the characters (outside of the obvious villains/corrupt sageuk officials (tm) of course) Okay, SML is a bit bleh, but that is bc he is SML, so i can ignore it/him 😂 (i do like tho that he is a true ally to the young king, even against his own father)

he is kinda the personification of the "hidden badass" trope. i am sure he has picked up and honed some skills for his revenge down the line. but never bothered to use it/fight and took the easy/easier way out instead. Though we have seen what he can do with the right motivation at the festival, so i don't find it hard to believe he somehow got the upper hand in the ambush after all... and if only to be able to tell his archenemy to f off xD

That ending of episode 7, tho. Got me all the chills, wow.

Oh with the way you find him smiling to himself when she does things, and fusses over her/is concerned yeah he definitely has that, and i love to see it. This man is gonna fall first (and hard) as well, as it has been said. Can't wait to see his "oh no" moment (of realization) 😏

Yeeeeah, but i still don't get what the point here is? It is not as though they hadn't faced each other like 15 minutes prior in that episode. Also outside of joseon granny seems like the rest of the family is aboard with YD already. Hell, even the dad found his long lost backbone and supports GTK in the end 😲

I was thinking the whole time "Oh my god, please for the love of everything stop this wailing of the whale. Someone pls put a sock into it." during that scene, ngl xD

this episode had no chill whatsoever, like i am watching another family drama on the side atm (five enough) and it feels so down to earth in comparison to this show, ngl xD Particularly today's episode was like 5 eps of chaotic makjang thrown in one, like let me breathe, will ya? 😂

I feel the only "nice/down to earth/calm" scene was when GTK did the checkup on the baby and they listened to its heartbeat together 🥺(Taekyung is gonna be a great dad, i bet) Also i loved how he went: You can open your eyes now, after YD faked her fainting to get out of that batshit situation prior. They already know each other so well, haha.

i can't take this huffing and puffing old bat seriously anymore. Like i know joseon granny loves to have obidient servants around herself, but what is the point of bringing golddigger witch to that meeting after everything that has happened in this episode? Does she need someone to change her diaper after dinner? Otherwise this does not make any sense whatsoever. Ohhh the delulu golddigger has arrived. Scuuuury 😂

sorry but having watched the drama and SFL, this opinion is so (unintentionally) funny to me 😂
