Good but just end it instead of making seasons. Enough of this stupid trend
Lol, it is no milking the cow scheme, though. The two part format was planned from the start, in order to be able to tell the full story of the book the drama is based on. Afaik, the story in the book is similarly structured, so it makes sense for the drama to have two parts. It is not season 2 as much as it is just the second half of the story.
BTW I loved this one, that's why I contest the rating
The two part format was planned from the start, to be able to tell the full story of the book the drama is based on. Hence why they filmed both parts in quick succession, so it can air after another without much time passing in between (January 2023, afaik.) So what we call season 2 is in reality just part 2 of the story ;)
But yeah i still have to watch the last two episodes tbh, and will wait for around december or so to do so.
I know, i was about to start it then I saw there is a season 2. I still debating whether to watch it as this very…
Season 2, which is just the second part of the book that drama is based on and no milking the cow scheme, is scheduled to air in january if i remember it correctly,. So thankfully it is not so long a wait anymore :)
This is way better than I thought it would be since I'm not a big fan of the genre. The comedy is on point, characters…
Yeah, this drama is sadly very underrated as it went under people's radar when it aired due to tough/lots of competition, a shitty late time slot and lack of promotion by network/viki. Even now the drama is hardly ever picked by Viki in their suggestion sections and buried in their streaming catalogue, despite being an Viki exclusive π
Still my fave drama of the year and one of my all time favorite too, tbh. Can only encourage everyone stumbling over this page to give it a try. You will not regret it π
PMY and GKP sizzle with chemistry! The other guy, on the other hand, is really really annoying and I don't think…
Yep. As someone already said here: SML has only a romance with himself because Sang Eun's head is filled with Jiho only, even when she is falling asleep at his shoulder lmao π
Also I will never understand people calling him boring, because thoughtful, quiet men who respect your decisions…
Ehehehehe yep have seen it now and I'm glad the writers let him stay true to who he is with the added bonus of Sang and Eun enabling him to open up a bit more of course. I loved his confused and pleading face journeys so much during the housewarming party xD
Ep5: I like the quirky humor. I do not like the SML. I wish I can cook his cat with red beans and make him eat…
Leave poor, adorable Amy out of this, okay? After all, she hates him too and that to the point where she chose a new cat guardian for herself and changed her nameπ€£
OMG, I need a GKP/JJH face journey compilation, like now. This man is so expressive without a single word and i am dying of laughter at the housewarming party scenes (going wrong) right now due to him. Someone please end his sufferingπππππππππ
His acting is pretty amazing here. I had to keep asking myself, this is the same cafe owner in HomeCha?? lol
His role in TLC is pretty close to how he was in Vincenzo. Same unhinged slimy and rich bastard without any kind of moral or Inhibition to take what he wants (human lives aplenty among them) you loved to hate. Both times he did and now does a stellar job with this psychotic, weasely character archetype.
So far, this drama is a bit of a mess, tbh. FL has still the character depth of burned toast, SML is an obnoxious,…
Also I will never understand people calling him boring, because thoughtful, quiet men who respect your decisions and show their worth/affection through actions instead of big, empty talk are really attractive. Still waters go deeeeep, as they say, which truly describes his character (having so much love to give just him not knowing how π) Hopefully the writers do not change him (too much) outside of him becoming more in tune with his feelings and those of others, perhaps. Let him please continue to have quiet dinners with wifey in peace to recharge his introvert/social batteries, instead of forcing him into the mold of becoming a social butterfly for no reason at all.
So far, this drama is a bit of a mess, tbh. FL has still the character depth of burned toast, SML is an obnoxious, entitled and manipulative brat who disregards every of her decisions and agency, and the story of codependency between rude af scam lady and FL is weird and unhealthy as hell. FL agreeing to the contract with SML is also contrived as hell and feels forced, just so the writers can push that love triangle trope upon us. And yet... and yet I have the time of my life with this drama atm and the whole reason is the ML. I also like FL's bestie (hope he gets an arc beyond token best gay friend tho) and the sense for character of Jamie cat bc she hates SML. Now THAT is a smart kitteh π
But tbh, GKP and his character Ji Ho really carry this drama. He is just so very relatable (to me, as an introvert) and one of the best written introverted characters i have seen due to it (they are really too rare.) Like the awkward moment when you sit in a packed subway/bus etc next to someone and have to get something out of your pockets. Oh god i hate that. Using earphones in a public space, so people don't talk to you. Or being put on the spot by a waiter etc and forced to order right now which is really the woooooorst. So like him i would pick the first thing that comes to mind so i am no longer the center of attention, even if i don't like it. Or power walking away from your noisy, way too extroverted coworkers, particularly the one who is always, always gossiping and never shuts up. (Shutting the door on her while she still talked was hilarious) Him rummaging over (awkward) things done and said later on, and being deep in thought/overthinking it to the point of imagining the worst case scenario. (Him yelling out "death sentence" had me rolling) (Thinking of) being in tune with your feelings while simultaneously being completely oblivious to them. Deep thinking in general in order to process past situations and feelings before even talking with others about it. Once the mind is made up however it is only going forward. No exceptions. (as seen w/ his "she is my wife, leave her alone or regret it" scene) Also him being calm on the outside but ready for murder inside. And him just walking away when SML asked him to take the cat and let him have a monologue on his own, no longer caring was the bestπ€£ I felt that and wished i could do this more often to annoying people around me π His level of petty is also my level of petty tbhπ€£
In short, my love for this man grows with each episode (and for the actor too, ngl) I haven't enjoyed a ML this much since "From Now On Showtime" and every minute he is on screen is a minute well spent in this kdrama.
