From Now On Showtime, which flew under everyone's radar but is so very excellent with its genre mix, quirky characters…
Glad i could help. I think a lotta people are put off by the title poster, which is a mistake tbh. Since they miss out on such a good, well-paced and funny drama <3
CCW: You were extremely ill. Do you remember that?GSH: How could I possibly remember it?CCW: Right, of course.…
And ppl say they there was not much humor in the last two episodes hahaha. It is still there it is just not so in your face like the bowling scene was, for example ;)
It's genuinely good, has everything that you mentioned. As for myself, I never watched any PHJ drama before or…
Same here. It is the first time I ever saw him in a drama but thanks to his role of an adorkable cinnamon roll magician which he plays so well (comedic timing, shift of emotions, microexpressions etc) i am currently catching up on Man to Man (since it is leaving netflix worldwide on June 10th) and later on I plan to watch Forest too. Really a great actor and Jin Ki Joo is too as FL. The whole cast is so very good, actually.
And if you know Mystic Pop Up Bar you kinda know what to expect with this drama here, just cranked up to eleven in terms of humor and chaos. Otherwise, same quirky characters, situations and humor with heartfelt moments in between. FNOS is faster paced and more tightly written than MPUB, so it is a sign of the writer learning and improving what perhaps didn't work well before.
He is/was still a bit stuck in the past-life memories. You gotta take in account that he "lived" that life for…
Oh I feel guilt is a big part of as to why he overcompensates tbh. For his selfishness and being the perceived reason for seul hae's former self's death. The best example for it is his charity spree and the hyper-attentiveness toward SH. He feels he needs to make up for mistakes made in the past (life.)
The historical narrative inserted in this modern drama can stand on itself as a movie. Dang! the writer wrote…
Mystic Pop Up Bar did this element well too, imo. Tho it is more in a piece-meal style with details revealed bit by bit than all at once like in FNOS :D
As i am watching quite a lot of historical dramas (really like them if they are not politics only) the way they handled the backstory, the setting and cinematography was such a treat (✿´‿`)
Umm it's there but it definitely comes after the other genres of the show. The fantasy and mystery are more present…
Yeees they are so good and adorble together, like a long married couple that tends to bicker, fuss and nag at times haha (given their backstory that will be unraveled as the drama goes on that is no surprise 🤭)
A random question-do God really exist?should we believe in God?Recently i read homo sapiens by youva Noah,He said…
Um, i don't think this is the right question or topic for the comment section of a fantasy drama about ghosts. Or in general, MDL. We are here to talk about dramas, not big philosophic question no one has a define answer of.
i would like to argue that CCW had no sudden change of character in the recent episode for reasons mentioned in…
He is/was still a bit stuck in the past-life memories. You gotta take in account that he "lived" that life for the month he was in coma and it has been just a few days where he has been awake, at most. So it is no wonder it all felt real to him and he hasn't truly readjusted to modern/his current life yet.
It is like, idk if any of you plays videogames, but it is like holing up at home to sink your teeth into an epic 100 hours rpg for a week or so... afterwards/after finishing that, you also need time to readjust and stop thinking about that damn game/story/characters to return to reality. Bottom line is this whole behavior is temporary and no 180° of character that erases everything CCW once was. He is gonna snap out of his marveling for the past life pretty soon, while maybe retain a bit of the softness, as he has always been an adorable dork. Just not to that "extreme" haha.
In need of another laugh out loud romcom while I'm waiting for new episodes. Can someone offer me some recommendations…
Not purely rom-com and more of a genre-mix with heavy rom-com elements and genuinly funny imo:
Crazy Love (the most romcom-y from this list lol) https://kisskh.at/706923-crazy-love (best use dramacool etc to watch as it is on Disney+ and not widely available)
Can someone here recommend a good ongoing drama to watch. I can't seem to like anything ... I really liked shooting…
From Now On Showtime, which flew under everyone's radar but is so very excellent with its genre mix, quirky characters and comedy. Akin to CL in this regard.
Y'all ever thought that male lead is too mentally weak? Like I'm here hopping he'd get stronger by some miracle…
that mentally weak wording is a tad insulting and demeaning to people dealing with trauma and mental health problems, to say the least. Probably not your intent but yeah it made me cringe.
Not really ,,it stayed the same till the end ,,not much happening
Yeah that was also my reason for falling behind as it aired. It felt samey and too drawn out already at that point (episode 6/7) and an once interesting premise left me bored. So i guess i save me 10 hours now and drop it, haha
hmm, was wondering if this is worth picking back up (watched 6 episodes before falling too behind and putting it on hold) but i guess i will drop it instead by the look of things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Yes. I recognize you. I finally do." These words upon waking up have so much underlying meaning ಥ_ಥ
