I saw the story of Minglan, but I don't tie it to The rise of Ning, the latter is a separate drama and I find the characters well defined from episode to episode, from events to events flashbacks included. There are still more than a dozen of episodes to go I am sure more clarities will be made available. By the way, I don't object to actors and actresses called in to play roles that suit them better, producers have the success of the production in heart and actors are free to do what they do better until they want to venture into something different. The male lead gained popularity and fame only recently, there is nothing wrong with him choosing to do what he feels best to do to consolidate his status.
I think the production did alot of thing really well and the changes from the novel were brilliantly done and…
Agree, I have read the novel and in my opinion , the screenplay is far more relatable and entertaining. Modifications of characters and events were made in the drama respect to the novel, and all positive.
As I wrote some time ago, this drama is an adaptation of a novel which I have been reading and only have a few chapters left. must say the drama is a way lot better than the novel, the screenwriter managed to preserve the fundamentals of the novel but modified characters and events to deliver definitely a more relatable, quicker pacing drama and yes more romantic too. In most cases I always find drama adaptations less fulfilling than the novels, but not this time.
so we are back again now with one episode a day for three days till Friday, damn. This drama has good pacing and the story, the cast have me hooked, one episode a day is simply torture.
yeah the drama is really white washed version of the novel, kinda feels like a fanfiction of novel? There is many…
I feel you, but I kinda enjoy doing both actually once I made up my mind to treat them separately, the plus I have is to be able to put faces in the dramas to characters in the book, it makes the story more real. I think reincarnation is not too welcome by Chinese censorship, therefore very few manage to break through. I personally am not a fan of reincarnations, I don't like being taking back and forth. Hey this is my very personal taste.
So I U have been reading the original story online while waiting for new episodes of the drama. There are a lot of dfferences and changes between the book and the drama, I quite regard them as 2 separate works, up to a certain point, The book started with the reincarnation of the fl at the age of 7, and the grandma died at the early stage, so much to point out a difference. I love both 2 works, they are great to follow.
Well... brace yourself then... that's gonna be Pearl Girl as well. Business plots are in these days.
Am totally enjoying the rise of ning, am sure the story of pearl girl will be just as good if not even better. Love to see fla being strong and resilient in whatever they do. Gone are the days (so to speak) when fls were weak and submissive, putting their lives in the hands of the male leads.
https://www.kanunu8.com/book5/jinxiuanning/#google_vignettehi guys, I am reading the original story online, it is in Chinese but can be translated by google in English . I find the story very entertaining and great to read. The story started with the reincarnation of Ning, therefore unlike the drama series, but many other aspects and details are brought into the drama and I am having a great time both in reading the original and watching the screenplay in the same time. I also find it extremely engaging to be able to put faces of the cast into the characters in the original story, it is so fulfilling. Have a go if any of you is curious enough.
this is a fast pacing drama, truly loving it. I like the looks of the female lead, a very unique and soul reaching face, I only wish she could have done better with her lines, the tone is flat and void of emotions, it just sounds she is reading texts of everything she says. I hope she will get some specific training in preparation of her future work, especially in period dramas where the language used is different in modern dramas.
Well, she uses the same tone for everything; it lacks depth. She probably would sound the same if she were to…
👍, true the fl needs to work on voice expressions, it all sounds the same. oh yes, it is still better than the fl of love between fairy and devil, I simply cannot watch any dramas with her in it.
I wish the fl were somebody who can act and deliver her lines way better. This aside, I find the plot so far interesting and I do like the actor who plays the male lead, he is really a professional. One thing I don't get is the synopsis states he and the fl are a couple but don't they have the same father? Intriguing..
OMG, the voice of the female lead and tone are simply awful, apart of it sounding piercing, it is totally void of emotions, every time she speaks it is as if someone with an acute tone is reading from a textbook
