A drama that shouldn't be any longer than 20ish episodes, how they drag it on for more money is intolerable. I fast forward, skipping episodes but only see nothing is changed basically. Hope Bai Lu e Dylan Wang etc would give more thoughts to choosing projects (and directors too) in the future.
Dylan does't possess much facial expressions in his acting, even his body language is stiff. I know he is supposed to act tough, but he is quite expressionless in every way. Bai Lu does a great job, she is a great actress.
Story aside, is it only me or some of you notice too the excessive filtering of images applied in this series, the filters are so strong that they make the faces all white with so little in conturing, the colours, the imagines are so unnatural.
Saw the last episode, must say I am dissatisfied, what an anticlimax, the ending is just quick and simple, it has no comparison to the twists and turns delivered to the viewers the whole time!!
Ep 28 which is currently available with really bad eng sub, has a scene with the Lord reading a letter and smiling,…
The letter must have informed him about the female lead, he knows she is alive and well, in fact, he is having the body guard of hers trained (hence the fighting on every 5th day of the mouth with his own guards) so that he can join her to protect her when he is strong enough to do so. The lord burnt the wedding dress becasue he thinks there is no hope of him marrying her in the future.
This is a good, refeshing story, delivered by a great cast. The pace is a bit slow, going back and forth between timelines is not what I would have wanted, I find it disturbing, nonetheless I look forward to more episodes.
Just finished binge-watching (re-watching, to be exact) A dream of Splendor, terrific male and female lead accomapanied by a great cast too. The story is unusal, the cinematography is big bonus, don't know if you have seen this drama. I'd recommend it, take a peek of episode 30. it took my breath away! Ah, a happy ending, otherwise no deal for me.
It tells a good story played out by a very good cast. The choice of the cast was well made. Have to put a negative comment on the dubbing though, especially for the main male lead, it is so unpleasant and unfit that actually pulled me off, I dropped it for several days but got pulled back in because of the story.
I bumped into this video in youtube.... it is episode 1 of the 9 episodes uploaded up to this moment. This youtuber tells his/her own story of LYF, it has the same characters as in the drama but what he/she writes is even more to my liking :) first of all, TSJ (seventeen) broke off his engagement with the wicked girl in the early stage and how he did it is !! Unfortunately this side-story is narrated and subtitled only in Chinese. Here's the link to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqiRmF2TxGA&list=PLXsGMU2IIywlp6Vo9aIeaMfrwhFf4jKNM&index=1&t=138s
Possible end of season 2 spoilers. I hope it's like this! 😍 Watch at your own risk! https://twitter.com/zhanlusi/status/1696022814728294877?t=jN_kVQZoS88jcy9eHRD4SQ&s=19
After episode 36,37,38, I'm really disappointed with Tushan Jing 🥺. I've never expected this, i hope our Xioyio…
He got cheated by his own grandma, he never expected it. Being an honorable person, he had no choice but to bear the responsibility, I am not disappointed in him but feel sad for him. In season 2, he will fight back.
What was Avenuex on about ep 30 being so bad and Deng Wei acting got laughed at on china’s internet. Can someone…
Avenuex can be so poisonous. She is a failed actress back in China in the old days, now "performs" as youtuber to her heart delight playing the role as expert in Chinese dramas / history based in Canada (she is currently in China visiting, I think). She is convinced she can simply open her mouth and rants as much as she likes , free speech and all, a very bitter person, I'd say. I don't live in China but I speak and read fluent Chinese and am an vivid youtube viewer, there are plenty of materials in youtube on Lost You Forever, this drama is on top of all viewer charts, Deng Wei gained overnight popularity. He is having a great time doing tv entertainments in China in the past two months, he has another project going too. If he were someone being laughed at, he wouldn't get invited, and he himself would choose to disappear till water calms down. By the way, ,When Hidden Love (Zhao Lusi, Chen Zheyuan) came out, Avenuex made a long video saying that this drama should be banned for the underaged (lol), but what do you know, Netflix took it in and marked it 7+, ok for anyone older than 7 year old to watch!! She is indeed bias and poisonous.
What an excellent screen adapted story delivered with excellence, can't recall any dramas so well adapted, so majestically casted as this. Must say the contribution of the original author to the screenplay, her presence on set made the difference. All the main leads are awesome, their performance are top notch. I have read the story, watched the drama and I am full of praise, can't wait for season 2... It can't come any sooner.
May be no one here would believe me when I say that i don't have the courage to watch the last few episodes knowing how painful it is going to be for Jing and XY (the tragic ending of One and Only still haunts me to this day!). I am holding onto the book until season 2 airs delivering a turn for the better for them, Jing is so deserving. Never in a thousand year he would suspect that his grandma actually drugged him!
