I came across a couple of youtube bloggers who reported criticism from a writer in China and from some local netizens saying this drama isn't proper for young girls, they even suggested to take the drama off the screen. Luckily some other locals say otherwise. If I had a weibo account I would certainly look that writer up to tell her she is insane and also tell those haters to stop barking . This drama is well screenplay written and there is nothing improper at all, What Sang Zhi (Zhao Lu Si) said and did when she was a 16 year old girl can be recognized in many other girls at that age in reality. When she turns 19 she is a young woman with a suiter several years older and there is nothing wrong with it, who doesn't fall in love at that age? I find the screen play relatable and the the main leads interpret their roles well. Both Zhao Lu Si and Chen Zhe Yuan are marvelous in this drama. I am angry that the criticism actually affects the rating.

Avenue is a failed actress back in China in the old days, she now sets herself up as a critic in youtube to glorify herself by ranting at whoever, whatever she pleases.

I watched Handsome siblings but found out by chance only now that Chen Zhe Yuan was actually the brother, he looked so different!!

Anyone knows the story of the girl going to his place, wanting to go in, and failing that wanted to give him money?

Love the music, love the atmosphere created, the everyday's life is delivered steadily and yet with fun and feelings, the way the director makes us hear what is going on in the mind of Sang Zhi, and how he explains away the missing scenes/answers to us viewers in the right moments are clever and engaging. This is a refreshing love story that everyone can enjoy. Must said they did perfect casting, ZLS and CZY are a perfect fit .

ZLS is really a very good actress, she fits in so well in all the roles she has been given to so far, same here in this drama, playing the role of a teenager is not hardship at all for her, she is a teenager in all aspects. I first had doubts about her pulling off as a 14 year old , I even thought the male lead wasn't a good fit, but it all turns out perfectly. They are both so fitting in their respective roles. The story moves on easily and it is a joy to watch,. So worth the wait.

The play writer whoever he or she was definitely dropped the ball especially in the last few episodes, nearly every died and I don't even know what the ending means. I hope they will get really bad feedback from viewers in China , so bad that they will actually think twice before doing any screen writings again.

No explanation to why the heavenly king so wanted the phoenix to die, no explanation to why the male lead ended up being the leader of the demons, then the egg is taking so long to hatch (300 years) . I am only staying in for the cast since they have put great efforts in the drama, as for the story itself, it could, should, have been so much better.

I missed watching this drama when it was aired and I picked it up a week ago by chance, OMG, what a moving, lovely and yet heart braking story. I keep going back to re-watch episodes.

Anyone knows if there will be new episodes in the weekend?

Go figure. Right now, I am angry with the way the producer,editor treated the viewers. They may well make a special episode to gain profits in some way, but they sure loose my respect, they played the viewers badly, all those non stop CGI fighting scenes, replaying of them together over and over again to fill up the final episode leaving us high and dry. Unforgivable.

Cut scenes, so they literally cut the most important scenes of the entire drama! We spent hrs, days, weeks to follow the series and they handed us the the most ridiculous final episode! All those everlasting CGI fighting scenes over and and over again, the replay of scenes of them together, and ding, the end! She is the Goddess with a child and him gone. Unbelievable!!

Yes, I can relay to your comments on Dylan Wang's acting, his facial expressions and body language are truly quite limited, the same look in his eyes, the stiff movements of his body. Luo Yun Xi is on an entirely different level, he portraits all kind of feelings extremely well. I have the same opinions on Bai Liu and Ester Yu, too. Bai Liu is very natural in front of the camera, she is very expressive, but Ester Yu really needs to learn how to act instead of being so self conscious of her looks in front of the camera, her acting is limited , her facial expressions are so few, she is just too superficial in her performance. I didn't even finish LBFAD, she literally put me off with her acts and tone.

I love to watch the main cast, they are great actors. But I think this drama could have been screen written so much better to capture our attention, but it isn't. No matter in which period/years they are in, the story always repeats itself, the same plots, the same misunderstandings and sufferings.

Oh, didn't even know it is picked up by Netflix.. Netflix runs a quite heavy regional restriction policy, am in Italy and I hardly see any great cdramas here. Australia, Asia, North America have much better access to Chinese dramas. Korean dramas seem to be available everywhere though, sigh.
