I had high expectations for the drunk scene in ep 6, thought Seol is gonna grab Yoo Jung's hair and fight with…
his hair IS eerily well coiffed. the only hair i've seen that's better is Park Hyung Shik in high society. that hair was so ethereal i thought it deserved it's own mention in the credits.
I just finished the 3rd episode, and OMG the amount of times that I internally cringed was too much. It's like…
i really wanted to watch this, but it was sooo cheesy. Cheesy isnt automatically a deal breaker for me and i dont generally mind fast forwarding but in the 1st or 2nd ep the female lead is talked into becoming "sworn brothers" with the male lead with the logic that he's lonely and has never had any friends....5 minutes later.... cut to a shooting scene "oh by the way, meet Bii, my life long friend." i knew then i just couldn't. cheesiness+ writers who cant keep a story line straight for 2 eps? nope, sorry. not for me.
watched a few more eps...still think they need to focus on the 2nd leads more to balance out the whole roy/alice thing because, yea, it makes me wanna pull my hair out and not in the fun way.
only 4 episodes out so far, the story is progressing really fast but i don't mind at all
it's a lot faster, but i think that's because at least half of any given episode of the webtoon feels like the korean version of "oh, hi, how are you?" " hello! i'm fine and you?" "just fine thank you" "you're welcome" nothing really happening just panel after panel of people saying the things they're supposed to in order tp be polite, especially in the beginning.
I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't find Yoo Jung creepy. I started reading the webtoon yesterday, to see…
i was really confused by the webtoon at because i just did not see how Yoo Jung did anything wrong. yea the one girl was nasty to her because she had a crush on YJ but he didn't actually do anything except make a vague comment that may or may not have been about her. I've read most of the English translation and he's certainly stiff but i didn't see why she'd be wary of him. i think the TV show did a better job of establishing why she would be wary of him thus far.He seemed to have purposely spilled beer on the girl, he gave her a few nasty looks, he was nice to her in front of people then rude when they were alone. She was accused of ratting on her sunbae when Yoo Jung actually facilitated and knew who did it. Yoo jung let her be treated like crap for something she didn't do and for suggesting he might have done it (which he basically did) so in the webtoon, yea, i don't see it, but in the drama i feel like they've established a good reason for her to be wary.
Am I the only one who didn't get why everyone was mad at her in ep. 3 (that project thing)? Nobody in that group…
i think they're all pissed because they know they fucked up. it's not unusual at all for people to get defensive and try to deflect blame. everyone in her group knew she was on scholarship and seemed surprised when the teacher said even Seol would get a D. i don't think the show intends to agree with them though, i think it means to show us how she is made to feel. i can certainly relate to being the one left holding the bag even when i handled my business.
i love that Kim So Eun looks like a real person. she doesn't look like yet another over powdered Kim Tae Hee wanna…
yea, i got about 15 webtoon eps left to go, which isnt much for a webtoon. it's all a matter of opinion in taste. maybe as more eps get released on the english site he'll go from robot to real boy.
i love that Kim So Eun looks like a real person. she doesn't look like yet another over powdered Kim Tae Hee wanna be. she's awesome. and i love that Hong Seol's character isnt (as of yet) one of those silly pure and innocent door mats we get so much of.
must also give mad props to the show writers and Park Hae Jin. i'm through almost all of the webtoon that's been posted now and i gotta say, PHJ's brought more personality and life to the character in 2 episodes than the creator managed in 80 some odd webtoon episodes.
Oh sounds interesting! too bad Lee Da Hae will probably be dubbed over. Wait, the characters have Korean names,…
every great once in a while, esp with international dramas like this, they will release an not dubbed over version as well. one of Roy Chiu's dramas was dubbed in China but not in Taiwan, there was another one i watched but i cant remember what it was now.
around ep 4 i'm getting kind of bored with Alice and Roy's characters' schemes. we get it. they're both kind of crappy. time to mix it up and focus on other things and break it up a little before i'm so tired of Roy and Alice i dont want to watch any more.
it's doing what a lot of dramas do, it's starting to put a lot of focus on the male lead's work and that is always boring. i think the corporate shenanigans thing plays really well in korea (why else would they keep doing it?) but i find it yawn inducing.
