Seriously, this is gooooddd. Its so realistic how the FL expressed feeling of anguish, sadness of suffering all alone esp when she's crying, whimpering whilst having this monologue. Esp in japan society people tends to keep their suffering to themselves, this is more relatable. The plot is enjoyable, camera etc.
The husband, 2nd lady and MIL are all damn evil they deserved more suffering but the FL is actually has a kind heart. She can go worse with son and destroy him (slept with him, destroy his feelings) but didnt do it since she's a nice person. Actually, she did NOTHING hurtful to other, they deserve more.
This is the OG of Wuxia that started the cdrama wave together with eternal love. Watching back, realised how handsome Deng Lun is. He has the manly vibes but gave this soft longing looks & noticed how older actor are not as thin as today.
Why other Wuxia drama couldn't surpass, cause this one adopts every element to the best; the morally bad character, the sorrowful ML, hate love relationship, amnesia, good ver evil, the costume, the climax of the angst, the ost & for me the best one for angst: how they make us wonder the FL real feelings vs highly obsessed ML. It's a great formula of classic melodrama like Autumn Concerto, Nice Guy, Love to Hate You, etc.
People questioned the FL, but in the end, the ML realised why she did all that and how she's a goddess bearing the burden to save the world & how EVIL the demon is. If we understand her personality and her position as a goddess, then we can understand how much she loves him. How she always sees a bigger picture of everything. She's the opposite of him, has a lot of thoughts, prefers to keep her feelings, while he is an emotionally driven character, a life full of hatred, but she was the only source of his life. Complete opposite.

Ep-25-26, oh my, the main couple is so sweet and they're going to battle together, the epitome of a power couple. And why im sad with all the side chacraters stories. Like late empress said, these people in power are just miserable to the core.

This drama is well loved by the chinese community atm plus Li Qin is quite respected there since she's quite senior and good actress. With no pre show promotions done, they are doing super good.
I think cdramas recently compared to older cdramas (esp pre 2010) are quite tame with emperor craziness, cause people were super annoyed , including me over this man. Still, despite the unlikability of this emperor, he's quite sane. The Emperor should always be either stupid, crazy, ruthless and getting things his way, which boils you up. This man serves the plot lol
