Rarely i regret watching thriller drama when its incomplete and this is one of it. Anyone who plaaned to watch this, better wait for more eps cause the plot is soooo damn engagingggg
Illogical in some part but such fun drama. But you can see the difference with Common law & Civil system where the judge involves in the investigation too. In common law, you cant even talk to a judge outside a court without official reasons, how they always have private path used in court that prevent them to talk/interect with common people/lawyers etc. The judge life is basically a secret from the public, you cant just 'talk' so casually about the case they're handling.
Ji sung is one of male actor who has been consistent in his acting and always pick good projects that fits his vision as an actor. Anyway what a GREAT drama, its keeping me on edge!
Will love the story more if they did reconciled only as friedns but the FL kept the distance as friends, creating boundaries & the ml is the one who chasing her. Them to only be together after the case wrapped up, the FL really distinguish her feeling as 'a fan' and her loving him as a real person while the ML ack it.
Usually 2nd ML in modern cdrama kinda just to fill in the filler plot ie love triangle nothing impressive but this, the 2nd male lead aura is SUPER GOOD Its not just the face, but his overall acting and chemistry with FL & he has plots to the whole story. Kinda have kdrama 2nd lead execution. Really2 love 2nd ML acting
& he's for sure the villain but he 100% attracted to her when he first met her in the lift. Anyway the whole drama is good cause everything is just smooth & not overreacting characters?
I love the FL is just 'normal'? Like no overdramatic reaction, not overthinking. Maybe due not soo much monolog and POV of the FL & she just kinda go with flow type?
Everyone, please watch this. Seriously, the main lead's story and the premise of the demon realm conflicts are super good. Fast pace, the side characters are all interesting & not exaggerated, unlike many demon characters in this genre sometime kinda annoying characters, the plots kept me wanting more, good costumes and cinematography.
Wow, this is good. The premise is interesting and had me going. All characters are also interesting, even the side demons. The cinematography is nice too.
Man, where have you been? With this level of talent, HY deserves well-matured projects. He reminds me a lot of Korean actors & gives a CMovie actors vibe. His eyes, body gesture etc screams good actor.
Never thought the starts of wattpad plots really leads to a good overall story. Tbh, the leads are carrying the story esp HY. If they could execute a better story of ML than the wattpadish element bad boy, car racing, boxing (a better approach) , this drama can be taken more seriously. I hope the directing/scripwriting of his background story was taken more seriously cause he got a lot of depth esp with his family, why he was like that but the director seems to focused on his racing car etc. His charcater is actually complex & we can weep more if the director explore his complexity. Even the FL character with the father wasnt eloborated much when it can really expended her story better esp why she has soo much loves to give (an element of top modern cdrama always have). The editing kinda choppy too.
Some scenes are cringy but He Yu saved like LOTS cause he was soo immersed with his character esp omg-his eyes. But this drama is seriosuly good & it have a special place in my heart. Unforgettable one.
I’m trying very hard to not let her voice bother me and just enjoy the drama but I don’t know if I’ll succeed.
She's a good actress but kinda noticed how she's more to method actress but this drama seems like she's improving & she did tried to control her voice intonation.
Such a beautiful drama. It's been a long time since I've watched a good melodrama, and this drama captures the classic style of old Korean melodramas & HK old movies in its directing, cinematography, and musical approach, really capturing the essence of mellowness. Once, melodrama was the main genre, not thriller or comedy-romance.
Directors now kinda refuse to make melodrama, since it requires super detailed emotional engagement w/o much script. Viewers have to decide who/what is right or wrong just by the eyes, the grey characters which this drama successfully captured. And an introverted charcater is also hard to potrays

His overall acting style & visuals reminded lots of Jing Bo Ran which JBR himself is a prominent cmovie actor and kinda take serious projects. JBR also such handsome voice. A good actor will need good acting voice, like you cant be a good actor without a good voice. HY vibes have more demands in Cmovies tbh.
He Yu is just damn talented actor, he literally surpasses many of my fav top male C actors. He embodies whatever ML tried to potrays. The raw emotions, vulnerability, micro expressions.
The fact the he has this "rough" appearance (not the chinese main stream handsome face) ie not the typical fair skin, the not flawless skin ie the scar makes me convinced more the director just choosed him due to his talent. This type of visuals usually u can found in Cmovies cause recent top Cdrama actors seems to be so overwhelmighly "good looking", poise, fair etc. Im rooting for his future project cause this man deserves soo much.
And the directing towards the ends, the camerawork etc reminds me a lot of good romance melo kdrama. This is such fresh air among modern C-dramas despite there being cringey parts, i.e., all the Wattpad fighting & some racing thingy.

Jin Bo Ran, despite not riding the fans pop culture trend of most popular male C-actors, he is recognised as a damn talented actor in the industry. This ML shocked me. I can't imagine my fav cdrama actors carrying this character. You've got to be good in micro expression and to presonified his charcater as a whole.
Such a crazy good premise of zombie drama. Like seriously, the origin story, expension of the plots, acting, the effects etc are DAMN GOOD. But sadly, it was during pandemic, netflix just started to became popular so this drama didnt get enough appreciation like some kdrama with lousy plots.
Plus, this drama couldnt get enough sponsorship since they couldnt advertise products in their scenes like healthy drinks, cafes etc. So the funds kinda affected & this is high productions which need big money.
Im sorry, I need to express my opinions on this. Watching many good thriller korean dramas which seems to be their niche, this drama feels just a "like a drama" (didnt how to described this ) and tried hard to be thriller but doesnt reach the feeling. The fear, suspense, panic, emotions etc didnt deliver at all. Some case are good but overall for a thirller is not good for me. I kinda felt cringed with some acting esp when it doesnt deliver the supposed heavy emotions they need to deliver. No chemistry between the teammates, dragging scripts, not funny moments but tried hard to make it funny etc.
Overall i can say this is a good light drama for this genre so it might suitable for viewers who might not want to much heavy thirller with complex plots, character etc which I understand why it can be popular.
