Great series! Started a bit slow but after a few episodes, it got the right pace, combining humor, romance and a few twists quite well. The two main couples and the supporting actors did an excellent job and made this light-hearted drama deserving binge watching. The soundtrack is also very good and complements the series really well. Definitely worth watching.
Very good drama in general. The production did a great job with the settings, wardobe and overall details. Acting varied from very good to mediocre and the soundtrack was great. The problem was with the lenght. The pace went well but close to the end the fillers and retrospects became annoying. It could have done well with something between 35 and 37 episodes. That deducted points from my score. Nevertheless, a very good watch.
I'm another one who started watching this series because of Bai Lu. However, right in the second episode I already felt it was a masterpiece. The story, acting, soundtrack, production in general was top notch. Bai Lu showed she's a queen. However, the cast did not drop the ball and kept the series very entertaining and I caught myself binge watching it. There were some subtle, and others not so subtle propaganda, but the production made them look good. Excellent job and congratulations to everyone involved in its production.
This drama is entertaining and easy to watch. I binge-watched it straight after completing a longer one. Acting and story are good enough to keep us entertained.
Just sarted this one and watched the first couple episodes. So far it feels like a more mellow version of Descendants of the Sun. Not bad, just a bit more mellow.
The 1st 2 eps are a bit tipsy for some. But keep watching, it only gets better. Tbh it's one of the best xianxia…
Thanks! I got completely lost in the first two episodes. Could not get the characters' purpose. Felt like the screenwriter just dumped loose dialogues all over the place. Started watching Si Jin now, which got a great start, at least for me. I'll get back to LODT after it.
I started watching this drama when taking a break from a couple ones that got very hard to go on, and I'll probably dump. So, I wasn't expecting much more than the typical cheesy story. However, it pleasantly surprised me by its entertaining and easy-to-watch story, very well played by the ML, FL and several other support actors. In no time I was binge watching it and even forgot about the other two series. For me, this is what makes a series or movie great. Its hability to entertain and keep me looking forward to the following episodes. Nice job!
Started watching this one to take a break of Legend of Taotie. No joy. Also a strange screenwriting that I cannot make sense of it. The FL and ML look like a forced match. Watched the two first episodes. Does it get better or stays awkward?
This drama was OK but not that good to get an 8. The story had a great potential but was squandered with too many cheesy and tacky scenes, and the acting all over the place. Episodes are short, which makes easy to watch. Good to spend time in between longer and better dramas.
in a few days on IQYI which means any streaming services will have it. You may even catch it on YT
In which country? Here in the US, iQiyi has been only releasing the first couple episodes on its YouTube channel, even for paying subscribers. When we go to the list, we can only see the couple first and all the others appear as "hidden". Many playlists have been like this there.
FYI, iQIYI doesn't sell rights to other international streaming platforms; it only sells rights to WeTV. This…
LOL! You clearly want to defend iQiyi's shady business practices, isn't it? iQiyi charges the same for a YouTube and an app subscription here. So, why would I, as a customer, have to put up with its business shenanigans by offering only partial content to YouTube subscribers? Why, as a customer, I have to accommodate to the company's greed? It probably makes more money through the app, since it does not have YouTube as a middleman. However it also has to spend more in the app management. I agree that iQiyi has some nice content. However, Netflix, Viki, Amazon, Youku and others do a much better job. So, not exactly a sacrifice by dumping iQiyi.

That's the problem. As I said before, the app does not work for me. I have my settings all ready for YouTube on my TV and it worked fine before. I paid the membership there and watched. Now, suddenly, iQiyi decided to keep charging the same on YouTube but only stream the first couple episodes. The rest it hides and does not allow paying members to watch. So, I cancelled my membership on YouTube and will not subscribe to the app, since I do not condone that kind of business practice, and a cellphone screen is ridiculously small to watch anything.

iQiyi here in the US charges around $9/month for the YouTube subscription. However, the problem is that it recently started only streaming a couple episodes of each series. The rest they hide and do not stream. It's ridiculous. It's not about the price. It's about unethical business practices.

That's bad. iQiyi used to stream its content on its YouTube subscription channel and I used to pay and watch there. However, recently it became a scam, since it only streams two or three episodes of each series even to paying members. Maybe they are trying to force people to use its app. However, I only watch those series and movies on my TV. So, no app for me. Only stuff I can play on my TV.
Excellent movie! The story is great and the production did not spare anything on the CGI and special effects. Acting was a bit all over the place with good ones and others isufferable, but that gave a great final result. I also liked the filmography, where they used some kind of effects similar to what we saw in 300, making the live action having a bit of an artificial feeling. Great watch! Looking forward to the next ones!
I started watching this one and started really good. However, after episode five it starts getting silly. I'm OK if it's about food, since I enjoyed several food/restaurant series. However, this is weird silly about eating mythical creatures and whatnot, some even suggesting some cannibalism, as in that mermaid case. Does it go like this all the way to the end or the theme changes and evolves to something else?
