First ep was kinda slow but after the second episode, I am officially hooked. Totally buying the hype and man the feels I'm already getting ...the feels
Hello, does Xuan Nu knows that Si Yin is a girl? I think that Xuan Nu thought that Si Yin is a boy right? Yet,…
In the drama, both her and Li Jing thought Si Yin was from Celestial clan so she took advantage of that since Celestials and Demon love is forbidden. And said unlike Si Yin she's from the fox tribe. This deviated from the novel why Li Jing cheated was because he thought Si Yin was male and Chinese censorship would frown upon gay content so they changed it hope that helps
Omfg I had to stop at the end of the first ep. I'm so confused wth. I feel like I'm watching something…
The first 10 eps provide a background to the plot and events. Synopsis doesn't actually take place until after. Teacher is not the main male lead but is played by the same actor Mark Chao and there is a reason for this related to the plot.

@Reta She finally connected the dots Si Yin = Bai Qian when Li Jing confronted her about Si Yin being from the fox tribe and not the Celestial clan. Xuan Nu always had her suspicions about Si Yin since her looks were identical to Bai Qian. But didn't believe they were the same as she was under the impression Si Yin was a male and from a different clan

When 4th bro sent Xuan Nu to Kunlun Mt. he referred to Si Yin as a male celestial relative. He told Si Yin to just go along with it because it's not exactly beneficial for anyone else to know she's in fact a girl attending Kunlun. And with how possessive Xuan Nu is I doubt she cares as long as she got her man lol. Actually in the novel Li Jing didn't know Si Yin was a female either and Xuan Nu took advantage of his conflicted feelings, by offering herself as a 'female' Si Yin
FFS how can I NOT watch this now after seeing the badassery that is Zhao Liying as yet another kickass female and this time, one who started off as a slave?! 68 episodes here we go....
Of that list, "Falling Dreams of Fang Hua" is one I'd love to see a drama adaptation. My problem…
General & I is one drama adaptation I'd like to forget it ever happened. The novel "Lonesome Fragrance Waiting to be Appreciated" was a great novel on its own. But my problem isn't so much the changes to the novel, but rather poorly executed and bad acting. Also unnecessarily dragged out.
Anyway, great work on the article! Another novel I'd love to see adapted once it finishes is the 4th book written by TangQi (author of Ten Miles & Pillow Book) that is about Mo Yuan and his lover from the Demon Realm, who is the total opposite of Mo Yuan, and obvs the star-crossed love (between God & Demon). I think a lot of Eternal Love fans are anticipating that one lol.
A similar novel to that is already out is called "Three Lives: Death Exists Not at the River of Oblivion" that follows three lifetimes of love between a Demon borne out of stone from hell and a God of War. It's fully translated by the blogger hamster428: http://www.novelupdates.com/series/sansheng-wangchuan-wu-shang/
Of that list, "Falling Dreams of Fang Hua" is one I'd love to see a drama adaptation. My problem with most drama adaptations of Chinese novels is they butcher what is already a really good plot by changing so much of the story it's hardly the same other than in name or characters only. Like, why bother?! But again, I've been told Chinese censorship might be the reason why some of the (controversial) contents need to be changed in order to earn broadcast.
The only exception to this is Eternal Love, and future productions looking to adapt popular novels could learn a thing or two about what actually happens when you follow a novel faithfully on how to adapt a book properly.
Wang li kun as Da Ji uhhh.... Not so sure about that
Right! Da Ji is an enchantress whose beauty causes an empire to fall. Like Helen of Troy (but evil) and Wang Li Kun is just not that kinda beauty as much of a good actress she is :/
Hate to say this but that ridiculous CGI and the first 2 eps didn't pull me in enough to continue
