Generally I tend to stay away from remakes, but I couldn't help check this one cause the original is one of my most favorite dramas ever. And I am pleasantly surprised! I feel like this one even fleshes out the characters more (due to more episodes) and develops their relationship in ways that the original didn't. BUT it's so extra they can really do without many parts/dialogues
Definitely not as good as the original Korean one, but still good especially for a remake. If you liked Queen In Hyun's Man, you just might enjoy this one as well (to a much lesser degree)
Here I am secretly hoping that one day he and Yoo In Na can get back together ...that chemistry was unreal <3 they're the biggest reason why that drama was so special
JUST noticed YSH character is listed as "Crown Prince Lee Sun Sado". I wonder if this is the same infamous Crown Prince Sado? :( Yoo Ah In's "The Throne" and whatever I've read up on this historical figure isn't helping things lolll
I can safely say this is my favourite kdrama so far. Like well, I haven't watched many kdramas but it is…
Now you brought my attention to the Chinese remake, it will be hard to not check it out especially with Jing Boran as the male lead :p
Agreed that this drama isn't of much substance than to make audiences swoon and get them on the edge of their seat. When you mentioned Hee Jin never bothered to learn about Boong Do's past, as a person and what he does, I also felt the same. We can only hope it didn't matter "where he came from but where he is now" is the message, but not properly conveyed? Everything about her literally screams fangirl lol
That's why even with how her character is written Yoo In Na does her character justice imo because she brings a certain cuteness and charm that no wonder Boong Do (and Ji Hyun Woo) fell for. It's kinda cute knowing that Ji Hyun Woo's constant smile and way he looks at her stem from actual feelings of puppy love <3
The female character could've been much better. But still loved this for the heartwarming romance, and political intrigue tied with time travel.
I was gonna give it a 9, but the ending ruined it all. It didn't make any sense. I was surprised there was…
One explanation theorized that once Yoon Wol died the talisman's power transferred to the cellphone, and so Hee Jin/cellphone became his new bearer of safety. But for that to happen he had to destroy the talisman to "free" himself from being tied to Yoon Wol's blessings/Joseon. Talisman is like a contract that even if the bearer of contract is dead terms still apply to the signee, binding him to Joseon til he burned it.
I've been watching 6 episodes of this drama with a friend. We don't understand the hype around this…
The first 10 episodes are the background to the story that sets everything in motion. For most people it's the slowest part but get to ep 10-11and that's when it 'begins'
I finally got around to watching this after hearing so much about it, and this pair just ooozes chemistry. Ji Hyun Woo isn't conventionally handsome but the way he looks at Yoo In Na gives me the flutters
Definitely not as good as the original Korean one, but still good especially for a remake. If you liked Queen In Hyun's Man, you just might enjoy this one as well (to a much lesser degree)
