Thanks for the recs! I've already added a few to these to my PTW especially the Japanese ones. Jdramas is one I wanna get into for their variety of plots rather than love/rom-coms 24/7 . Not that I don't love them hehe.

Chinese historicals sound interesting but also lost me at the ridiculous amount of eps. As good as the last one I saw was, (Eternal Love) with its lengthiness.. nope can't do that much eps. BUT I'm very intigued by that Chinese BL with hot military men. Sign me up

Since you're only up to ep36 I don't want to end up spoiling anything but the premise from what the author originally penned about 3 lives aspect, did change. But fixed it in a way can still be considered "3 lives" but certainly not as impactful if you ask me however it worked for how the plot turns out. Sorry if this sounds very alien to you right now lol

Erm the only one I don't feel remotely guilty about is Do Ji Han ( fck yea '91ers ). But the rest are babies

I never realized how much Eddie Peng actually suits the role of The Monkey King. He certainly has that mischievous charisma and cheekiness to pull off Wukong

Watching the first 2 eps and not bad! Good pace, short - 30 mins per ep and there's only 20 eps. Very watchable

I just love YAI's choices in roles to challenge himself as an actor. I can expect him to bring something new everytime <3

Drama CGI was inconsistent. Either really good (like for the major battle scene between the Heavens and Ghost Tribe) or borderline atrocious for the creatures

But the visuals for the movie is insane. Done by Anthony Lamolinara who is an Oscar-winner for Best Visual Effects

There's no 4th prince here. Wrong drama perhaps? Unless you're talking about either Crown Prince Ye Hua or Bai Qian's 4th brother

it's 60 episodes now lol maybe writers are killing themselves over the madness so they cut out 30 eps of god knows what

I only think he looks the part, but still don't like him as an actor and wouldn't have been my choice for Ye Hua for that reason alone

not a fan of Yang Yang as an actor but he makes a great looking Ye Hua

Loved both versions but the love I have for this one cannot be compared ❤

This was cute but I wish the leads paid more attention to acting than trying to look camera perfect

No offense but people must be taken away by how pretty he is to not see his acting needs a lot of work

Honestly this was a total miss. Gorgeous costumes and an intriguing premise that fell flat. I couldn't have been any more disappointed in this drama, and this was one historical I eagerly looked forward to for months. The only saving grace for this show was the cast. What a waste of good actors.

His plan worked as in people were convinced this was the original because it came out first. It's annoying that he changed so much of it in his own version that it can't be considered a "ripoff" of the novel yet anyone can tell it was very similar.
