man...i am still holding onto hope the trailer is just used as bait for audience to tune into next episode and there's some other story behind it. cause then where exactly is the development of their relationship when in the last few episodes there have been multiple scenes where yifan is apologising to sang yan for hurting him in the past and swearing never to leave him again but instead fight whatever comes their way this time. all of the development dumped for a cheap angsty twist? pass.

oh the number of reviews are nothing honey! kdramas get massive exposure when they truly go viral. Queen of Tears was rivalling Bridgerton's number of views on Netflix. The only cdramas which come minutely close to the hype of popular kdramas are hidden love and untamed. I do wish cdramas start getting the same international support, specially first frost!

for me it was love next door. and i still haven't watched the last few episodes. but kdramas also have a way vast audience than cdramas. so the online hype keeps the shows alive anyways (i remember lovely runner going viral every week whilst people were waiting and theorizing)

well a shorter schedule with the show consistently on top with higher ratings would have been better imo than a stretched out one with mediocre ratings. but yeah it's still a commercial success i think for a modern show.

this is great for international audience including me, i lose interest in most ongoing kdramas. but majority of the shows in china air more than one episode and almost daily. kdramas are used to twice a week schedule in korea hence it doesn't affect the local ratings there meanwhile it does in china. i just wish these statistics were taken into consideration by the marketing team.

i hope so. this show aligns with south korea's taste as well (melodrama romance with an antagonist) considering the success of CLOY, LR and QOT so hopefully it finds some success there as well.

i feel like youku's scheduling has lowkey killed this show's momentum in china. i mean it's still doing alright but i think they could have capitalised the insane momentum and hype it had before airing much better than they actually did. i just hope it's a success on international platforms like netflix atleast!

listening to the album on spotify rn and i wish they would use the ost they used in the very beginning of ep 10 (when sang yan went after yifan in the rain to give her the book back). its one of my favourites they have used and its way too beautiful to be only used once.

dawg what is youku's logic behind these release schedules? even from a marketing pov, all this does is create a gap, decrease the ratings and not properly utilise the hype. the response is already not good from the audience are they trying to lose the viewership too??😭

sigh i put up a request to edit the poster back to the previous one a few days ago but i guess it was rejected. this show literally has some of the prettiest posters i have seen across any drama and somehow we are stuck with this (not that its bad, but i could find at least 10 better than this)

let's all manifest really hard that by tomorrow's episode mu cheng yun's character is permanently wrapped up and siqiao haoan confess with the help of xiang lang and get together so the last one third part of the show is as good as the first one third and mostly focused on sangyifan🤞😞.

saw someone saying on twitter we were supposed to get a scene with sang yan, wen yifan and sang zhi eating icecream after the whole fake encounter planned by sangyan. there was also a very cute photo so that means the scene was already shot. i just skip the side plots but are they really cutting down on sangyifan scenes now but mu chengyun is still here, that too the scenes which were already shot?? why are they doing this to us good lord.

sangyan's face trembling when yifan started speaking after his confession has me sobbing. you could see the fear of rejection on his face that his confession might push her away before erupting in joy when she said they are mutually in love.

whats really beautiful to me is that all these years, sang yan has not held a grudge against her even though after all those years of affection, friendship and developing a close bond where in his mind they were supposed to be together till the end of time, she left him. all he has ever wanted during the time they were seperated was for her to be happy and safe. and when she returned to his life, he was ready to pour out all his love into her hands again as long as she was willing to come to him and take the first step. truly one of the most beautiful fictional characters (fictional for a reason😭).

from what i am seeing they didn't include the movie theatre date but i am so desperately manifesting it to be there in the later episodes. basically she intentionally picks up a horror movie to flirt with him and "protect him" and that scene was soo cute in the novel.

the goddamn grandpa!! i refuse to watch it even on my rewatches. i am waiting for the show to finish so I can rewatch the show only as like compilation of sangyifan scenes and pretend that was the entire show.

10 minutes is crazy. that's literally 25% of the episode. they refuse to let that plotline go jesus christ😭

i am okay with work related scenes as long as its only yifan and sang yan. idgaf about any other character apart from these two.
