Apologies, but I just want to clarify. TFF will be his final campus drama, but romance scripts are still possiblehttps://x.com/wonwoncity/status/1894985548483437033?t=Z8VM70j05J_KxXkjhAsVQQ&s=19
i believe there was a recent weibo live as well where some of his fan accounts translated that he hinted he won't be doing romance scripts for a while. but let's see maybe he changes his mind in a few years or so after doing these thriller/action shows for a while.
Sang Yan isn’t unrealistic or pathetic he’s one of the most understanding and emotionally mature male leads…
these people need to let their wattpad phase go already. like no, we do not need toxic male leads because y'all are attracted to them and emotionally mature characters who actually like and respect their partners are termed "simps". it's 2025 grow up already like lmao.
can't believe they are leaving me tomorrow😠my sang yan there will never be a male lead like you for me you've moved mountains in the world of real lovers. also can't believe bai jing ting won't pick romance scripts anymore now. that face was sculpted by gods to portray a real yearner and lover.
this show would have been better if gu ran and jiang jia were the second lead couple here and not the secondary couple. somehow their chemistry and plot was way more engaging to me, specially gu ran he was easily the best character in the show for me. overall a cute show not anything life changing but still a very enjoyable watch.
started this because of fomo and i am 5 episodes in. i can't lie i actually loved the premise- one of the most unique concepts i have seen in kdramas where they showed how people actually do fall out of love, but the overall plot specially everything involving her family specially her dad and his mistress is boring my brains out. the leads have decent chemistry but jiwon is clearly the saviour of the show here. i am not expecting it to get better but will finish it somehow though.
does anybody knows here how to edit imdb? i find it better to track and rate episodes than here but the official page is a mess there, no release dates updates and titles updated for only a few episodes sigh.
not gonna lie sometimes it feels like they have made sang yan too flawless and perfect to be even fictional at this point. it takes me out sometimesðŸ˜. but with everything going on in the world and rampant misogyny on rise, i feel like the girls (and by this i mean ME) needed this to escape our harsh realities, as long as we are able to wake up and recognise these people absolutely don't exist irl. SANG YAN MY ABSOLUTELY UNREALISTIC FAVOURITE COMFORT CHARACTER.
I do agree that she does need therapy but at the same time we have to consider that SA victims or people with…
oh yeah you're absolutely right on this. i think the first step should be recognising you need help. and yifan still believes she has to sort everything by herself which is why she did what she did:( i do hope in the upcoming episodes her arc revolves her accepting she needs people and their help in her life and opening up to sang yan more.
This is a valid perspective. While Sang Yan’s arc isn’t bad in the novel, the drama has intensified Wei Yifan’s…
therapy isn't the one stop solution for everything, but this girl clearly has been through hell and back and needs medical attention not only for her sleepwalking but her trauma/depression and i believe her seeking professional help for the same instead of simply moving away would have made more sense in her healing journey. i don't know if anyone has been heartstopper here, but something like how the protagonist went to a medical centre for months after discussing it with his partner while his partner was there to support him through it all would have been a lovely arc.
okay so i am curious after today's episode what do y'all think about her leaving and if you had to change the story how would you prefer it to go? personally for me, i liked sang yan's arc but instead of wen yifan leaving to protect him i would have preferred a story line where she talked to him about wanting space for herself outside the relationship to clear her head and seeked therapy with a professional and then returned to him when she was in a better place or something.
honestly the scriptwriter was brave as hell for this because i can't even imagine the backlash this is going to get in china if it's this bad internationally. that douban rating is about to go below 5 and i need the team to stay strong through this ðŸ˜
idk why people are always under the belief the original work is always better. i mean could the writing in the show be better? sure, but belittling it just for the deviation from the novel is wrong and immature.
yes this part in the novel bothered me about his character too, so i am glad about this change
because you are telling me the same man who flew to yihe every now and then to check up on her would leave her when she is literally physically hurt and he knew at that point she was basically assaulted by her uncle before?? like that whole plot was absurd and people only hype it up because they had sex by the end of it lmao.
i do have some problem with the execution of this plot but i honestly love the changes they have made with sang yan. i was weirded out by his behaviour in the novel because his reaction to yifan getting hurt and assaulted by her uncle was basically him getting mad at her and then leaving her alone. he made her trauma about him and basically shun her out for days for not trusting him about her trauma, even though it's a very sensitive thing for a victim to share with anyone. i love that in the drama, he is shown as much more compassionate of her trauma and pain, giving her all the time to heal and never pressurising her to put their relationship over her own self healing. he understands why she did what she did, never getting mad at her and just wishing that she is okay wherever she is. this is way more in character for him to do than what he did in the novel.
also can't believe bai jing ting won't pick romance scripts anymore now. that face was sculpted by gods to portray a real yearner and lover.
he really is going down in history books as one of the best male leads ever idc if it sounds exaggerated.
