i am yet to watch the episodes (will watch in a couple of hours). pleasee someone spoil me whether the episodes were mostly sangyifan and not the annoying unnecessary side plots.

you can have your opinion about the show but anything said against bai jing ting's casting is just objectively wrong lmfao. he is breathing life into this character and has the visuals to pull off this role no matter what anyone says. the other alternative 'actors' which have been making rounds on the internet (won't name any) could not act this well even on gunpoint. i am so thankful to him for taking on this role even though he usually doesn't chooses scripts like this. MY sangyan always and forever.

i've been seeing posts on xhs that the real time ratings of the show have significantly decreased recently (it was consistently #1 during the first airing days). do y'all think it's because of the audience reception or maybe because of youku's release schedule (only 1 episode a day). i really hope it's a commercial success and the production and actors don't regret taking part in this beautiful show :(

cnetz were mad because the show featured way more sexual harassment scenes than there were originally in the novel. it seemed to them the show is using female victimisation for emotional shocks. apparently, they also had to remove a few scenes from the show because it garnered a lot of heat there.

oh wow the controversy affected this in china way more than i expected. well as long as its a decent commercial success and makes the money back it should be okay i guess

right the previous one was so so gorgeous whereas this looks much generic. wish they would change it back to the previous one:(

my beef with haoan and siqiao ship aside, their individual scenes with sang yan and wen yifan are so adorable. love their dynamics as friends so much, specially the girls.

less than 30 mins for sangyifan🥲 the epi was so cute though my favourite part easily was him getting flustered while she was taking his picture and him moving the cake closer to his face he is so cute <3

the person who uploads the episodes on netflix LOVES wen yifan. every episode has her as the thumbnail (i get them honestly she is so pretty)

no only 20 episodes would have aired by then. i think all the episodes will most probably be scheduled till atleast 10th March or even later considering they are only airing 1 episode most days.

are all their scenes from the school days over?? i enjoyed watching them so much and BJT looked so cute with the messy hair :((

it's just a slang for saying someone is exceptional (doesn't literally means relating to a generation, more like once in a generation type compliment)

i think it's netflix's fault this time. from the reviews and what i have been seeing online, since netflix didn't clarify on their page the series is ongoing, many people are under the presumption the show is only 10 epis and hence are unsatisfied with the ending. the score on imdb will continue to fall i think until the entire series is up on netflix which will be a long long time for now (they are only uploading a few epis every week without any fixed schedule or clarification on their page).

what a lovely episode enjoyed it so much!!! my only qualm is the other characters still taking way too much screentime (sorry they could not make me care about the grandpas😭doesn't fit tonally with the show at all), but otherwise satisfied with the progress sangyifan made this episode. hoping the next episodes are entirely focused on yifan chasing sang yan and wrapping up MCY character once and for all.
