I just watched the second episode 🤯
I started this series without checking tags, trailers, or even reading the synopsis. Someone just told me it’s in the style of To My Shore, and that alone was enough to convince me.
If I ignore the fact that the time loops are a bit all over the place and end up confusing the viewer more than intriguing them, I can honestly say I really enjoyed the first two episodes and I’m so excited to see how it will develop! The chemistry between the boys helps a lot too 🤤
What can I say, give me red flags and take my soul, I’m so here for this one!

I know you didn’t ask, but To My Shore was adapted from that novel, and if you decide to give it a chance, you might be able to understand the characters better and feel more for their unhealthy romance. Sorry, I couldn't resist 😁
The writing is also so good in both novels!

I wish I could forget all about it and binge watch it for the first time in one day 😭

Honestly, I also liked the second couple a bit more in ABO, and I think that’s exactly why I was more disappointed that they didn’t really get a proper ending. Of course it doesn’t help that I’ve read the novel too, so I know what we didn’t get to see… that definitely makes it hurt more.
As for Addicted, it’s absolutely one of my all-time favourites for me as well. And yeah, it’s the reason I was so hyped for Love After Addiction from the moment I found out it was happening. It hasn’t blown me away as a series so far, but I love their chemistry. There’s no way I wouldn’t watch it till the end and support it. Just the fact that these two actors kept their promise to the fans after ten years honestly makes me ridiculously emotional.
I’m really glad we could have such a nice exchange of different opinions without any drama too, that kind of discussion is way too rare on MDL 🤣

My boy Fan, I'm literally in love with Yun Qi, his a cute little puppy, so talented and funny! To be fair, I’m in love with both of them. YunYi is my new obsession, and I’m really hoping we’ll get to see them again soon in another BL.
And yes, the scene you mentioned in episode 13… same. It’s probably my favorite too. It gave me literal chills. I had to pause the episode for almost an hour just to calm down 😭
Anyway, I watched the first episode in Yesterday and it looks really promising.
That ending though? 🤯

It’s literally my first all-time favorite BL drama now. I’m usually not the type to get obsessed with dramas, but this one completely got me. At 35, I found my first-ever CP 🤣

Yeah, totally fair 😊 Of course everyone has their own tastes, and they’re all valid. What works for one person can be really uncomfortable for someone else, and that’s okay.
Personally, I really liked ABO Desire, except for the ending, which felt extremely rushed and kind of disappointing compared to the rest. The other one you mentioned which filmed partly in Thailand is my current obsession 🤣
In general though, I tend to gravitate more toward dark romance stories, toxic characters, unhealthy dynamics, but with a good redemption arc that actually makes sense emotionally. I think that’s probably why C-BLs usually work better for me.
Compared to that, this series feels very light and fluffy so far, almost too light for my taste 😅 A bit messy, sure, but also much more “realistic” in how things could happen, which I can appreciate, it just doesn’t hit as hard for me emotionally.
Still, I totally respect people enjoying different kinds of stories. Variety is a good thing after all 💛

I don’t know which Chinese BLs you’ve watched, there aren’t many anyway because of censorship. Over the past year, they’ve mostly been putting out slightly better BL productions by using certain loopholes they’ve found. Still, I disagree; I think their scripts are far superior to those of BLs from other Asian countries.
That said, this particular one I think it's really all over the place, at least so far 🤣

I agree. Maybe my expectations were too high, I’m not sure. It feels a bit boring, especially episodes 5 and 6. I’ll still watch it till the end, just with more low-key expectations.
As of now, I'm not interested in the second couple at all.

There’s still no news about the special, but they wrapped up filming two to three weeks ago, so I’m guessing we’ll get some news soon.

For To My Shore, both actors are under the same agency, which makes joint promotions much easier to control and protect. Combined with the overseas/co-production setup, their management can safely allow CP content, appearances, and continued interaction without too much risk.

For Revenged Love, the situation is different. The actors are from different agencies, which already complicates coordination. On top of that, the show is more sensitive in terms of censorship, and the actors themselves are more well-known. The higher an actor’s profile in China, the stricter the image management and risk control. So I think separating after the series ends is a strategic decision by management.

The same goes for everyone on MDL. We all see things we don’t like, yet most of us don’t go around dumping negativity under every series that offends our aesthetic.
So if you felt the need to post this here, then either you’re bored and looking for a fight because you enjoy throwing insults, or you’re seriously lacking basic common sense as I already said.
