I consider it to be much more toxic than the two series you mentioned earlier, just in a different way. I can't compare them, this series has much more depth. It may even be the darkest romance I’ve personally ever seen. There is redemption, though. If you don’t like this kind of genre, I would suggest not wasting your time on it, it will weigh on you heavily and make you angry. It’s a series that plays intensely with the psychological world of its characters, and, along with that, with our own.
However, if you think you can handle it, you won’t regret it, if only for the emotional rollercoaster you’ll experience. It’s one of those series that stay with you, and for me it’s worth it beyond words.
That said, I don’t think it’s a series for everyone, not everyone can handle it.

At least we can suffer through it together here, until the special comes out. And I’m pretty sure after that we’ll be suffering together even more 😭

Taste is subjective. For example, I don’t personally find Chi Cheng sexy. I liked him in the role, but he doesn’t really do it for me. Still, he’s a good-looking guy, I can’t deny that, speaking objectively. On the other hand, I find Fan Xiao extremely sexy.
What I never understood is why, even before To My Shore was released, I kept seeing negative comments about the leads’ appearance. Okay, we’ve established that taste is subjective. But objectively speaking… where exactly did people see them as ugly?
