i am still catching up with the double, so I will be saving the eps here of this week, for the weekend. so far, I really, really like Ci Sha, I have a vague feeling I saw him somewhere, or he reminds me of some other actors, but no luck so far, i cannot place it, whom he resembles (in my mind!)
how many versions of this story are we going to get lol. not complaining but it's hard to keep them all straight
why would you need to keep them all straight?
each generation that grows up, can enjoy the version, that they grew up with. and if the stories and the cast fits, and you like the next and next and next version, then you watch or you skip. I am 45 years old now, i know that Hongkong TVB did already have their adaptions in the 70? never saw them, not interested. when i was a child/todler, i watched their versions of the 80s and then 90s, on vhs tapes with my grandfather (thats how i actually learned cantonese. No subs, no dubs. just my grandfather, and some aunts, who went to chinese schools, when they were kids (before the vietnam war, that drove us away, and then where we end up as boat people refugees in Germany. ) since the rise of c-dramas 15-20 yrs ago, i havent seen any versions/adaptions of these stories.
this will be the first one, and i am curious. i am trying to not cling to my childhood memories of 40 years ago, and i certainly hope, no one of the younger generations takes this version, and compares its F/X with those of the version of 1983. i am trying myself not to make comparisons, coz usually that ends up unfair.
i am pretty sure , since legend of heroes is scheduled for this month, 17th, they will be dominated the entire…
I never claimed, its going to be Hit though? Its not even aired yet, so how would i be able to claim that? If there is anything dominating europe and germany currently, its soccer ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽:,⚽🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 we won 5:1 agaibst Schottland yesterday ❤️❤️❤️

i am pretty sure , since legend of heroes is scheduled for this month, 17th, they will be dominated the entire month june and july with the 60 eps. https://kisskh.at/739239-jin-yong-wu-xia-shi-jie
so this one, with xiao zhan will be only aired after.
damn, this is the show i didnt know that I needed ! takes me straight back to 1983 or something, when I was a wee todler, and watching those TVB series from Hongkong with my grandfather! i don't care if its remake, reimagination or re-invention of the classic ,whether its prequel, sequel, or anything, but the actors really looking good, without them looking the kind of current good looking idols!
Who cares about the age differences, it’s not like he’s underage , the tension and chemistry are so 🔥 can’t…
well, I dont care about their chemistry, nor their age , LOL.
i am just here for the revenge, and the hopefully killing of all those who wronged her (and the dead girl). alas, they both could just be partners in crime, with no romance, and i would be fine as well.
Is this drama worth watching so far ? I'm considering starting it
i think, its riveting. but alas, a drama it doesnt capture you within the first 3 or 4 eps, you can always decide to drop. its not a crime, to just dropping dramas.
it happend with me with the other highly anticipated drama, fox spirit matchmaker. I love the actors/actresses and i love the costumes there, but the story is just...couldnt capture my interest. I dropped it. I even know there names without having to look it up! Gong Jun and Yang Mi !!
here its the total reverse, its hahahaha LOL, no kidding, i dont think (except for the evil sister) any single actor/actress in this drama is good looking, neither female lead, male lead, nor any of the villains, its honestly freaking funny. I dont remember their real names, and couldnt name a single name of the actors/actresses in this drama.
and i think the costumes are more or less bland, and all actors of all genders are not good looking (not bad looking either, just...average). but the storyline is GRIPPING me, and is holding me captivating.
I would continue watching it, even if all actors/actresses turned ugly.
so yeah, if my totally subjective and unqualified opinion means anything? watch this drama.
well, since they are churning those storylines out like crazy? and the worldwide and domestic numbers of viewers…
"There are so many good novels from other languages besides the Chinese language." well, trust me, of that i have no doubt. even though I am ethnic-wise a Chinese. But I do love, as a germany born half Chinese, my old-fashioned school lectures such as Lessing, Goethe, Schiller, and even lots of modern German Authors such as Frank Schätzing, or Ferdinand von Schirach, Juli Zeh, Dietrich Schwanitz and so on
BUT, here is the but: "Why do C-dramas have almost the same storyline? " you were complaining in a thread, about a Chinese drama, from a chinese novel. made by a Chinese production company. who's works has to be approved by a non-democratic (alas communistic) government.
so yeah, pardon me, but apart from the fact, that we were talking - or no, I was talking about the audience, that is currently watching and hyping the C-dramas? i guess, sure enough, some female chinese directors may chose some novel from "foreigners/non Chinese" authors. but alas, the paying domestic and international , who sets out to want to see certain c-drama tropes? won't care. no care , means no watchers, means no money, means no revenue.
i hope, you will find, what you are looking for, in other countries' television or movie productions. wishing you good luck. i heard , India , Nigeria and so on, have also interesting tv dramas and movies. Bollywood and Nollywod. don't stay in c-drama land and be frustrated or sad.
He was a humble nobody in a small town, married FL for love. He scored #1 on the Imperial Exams and got a somewhat…
I thought they are in an S/M sado maso relationship. If i were the FL and seeing my husband murderer so miserabel, i would let him live to be Tortured by that princess daily. No need for justice or revenge. He would probably have a better life in hell, if she kills him.
well, since they are churning those storylines out like crazy? and the worldwide and domestic numbers of viewers…
yeah well, i mean obv it needs more than that. i guess (as a non chinese speaking chinese person) , there seems to be a million good novels around. its just, probably not enough good script writer who translates those novels into good scripts. maybe. and three lives three worlds is like... really a couple of years ago? like isnt that already 4 or 5 years old , the live adaption? the novel must be even older.
He was a humble nobody in a small town, married FL for love. He scored #1 on the Imperial Exams and got a somewhat…
thanks a million! i would not have got that part , not in a million years. i think, i have to rewatch the first 2 eps. i mean, so he did it for just moving up? damn hell, he is a failure of a husband, and even a more failure of a proper villain. if he has the guts to kill his wife, and even more so, kill her personally, and now running around all the time so miserably? jesus. did he understimate his conscience? what good does it do, if he is like tormented by that princess, on a daily basis? sighs, he probably misses class on "how to be a villain and adulterer and remorseless killer , 101"
can you please spoil me, and tell me, who are the superstars`? i mean, obviously you cannot mean the male lead…
thanks. nope, sadly, i am absolutely not a drama stan, nor a stan of any star or superstar. i am just a casual middle aged woman of 45 yrs, who ocassionally jumps in, and watch, whatever c-dramas caught my attention. and then comes here, and relies on the young fans in this forum, to explain stuff to me.
can someone please spoil me? why has the miserable excuse of a husband had to kill his wife and listen to that crazy princess? i mean, obv. i have missed something, coz she obv did blackmail him, but with what? i mean, I am loving this, and seeing the FL going on a revenge tree, both for herself, and the dead real daughter of that family (and boy, do i hope, everyone in that family dies at the end, hmm or maybe not, the stepmom and her maid, they both should be tortured for at least 10 years, and repeatedly stabbed, beaten and starved, and whipped , or maybe cut of their limbs or something).
but i still don't really understand, why she had to die?
so far, I really, really like Ci Sha, I have a vague feeling I saw him somewhere, or he reminds me of some other actors, but no luck so far, i cannot place it, whom he resembles (in my mind!)
