the ending was so very satisfying! ahh, i already started to rewatch from the scratch :D I need a new show, in between, to tide me over the dry spell, without any JOL2 in sight :(
well, if mirror twin cities turns out to be disappointing, I will just SSS in the loop , that totally will work. and in between, I will rewatch for 10th time NIF. :D

anyone reads the novel ,and can spoil me, what happened to the junior master at wudong (scene in ep 36)? why did he fell in trance?

it has something to do with the gate of heavens opening during the fight between those two sword masters, right?

its definitely on the same scale! but its at the same time, pretty much different, although the humor definitely feels familiar!

just like JOL, i could watch all actors and actresses talk and plot, for forever, even if there were like zero fight scenes, i still would totally fall for this drama and sell my soul and firstborns for it!
If i were to force to choose between JOL and SSS? honestly, i ' d rather give up my (non) existíng babies , lol. or stab my own eyes...

but still, Nirvana in Fire still reigns supreme. nothing is going to take away that level of brilliant hurt /(no) comfort.

HELP! someone who remembers one of the former episodes, where they explained (more or less) why all kinds of factions actually wanted to kill XFN mother? (please point me in the right direction of that ep)
I mean, of course, it was probably to anger and hurt Xu Xiao, and make him go to war, or something, but preventing him from siring more sons would not be logical. they are forgodssake , lords and nobility, he could just marry any woman, make her a consort or concubine, and that's it! ok, she wouldn't be a powerful swordmaster like the mother of XFN, but still! SON is SON! they are a Confucian society (more or less?) after all!

but damn, from all that talks in eps 37, its like there were even more conspiracies behind this. all kinds of willy nilly conspirators running around in the royal capital city. so why his mother?
what were all those swords and martial art masters doing in the capital anyway? I thought, most of them didn't care for politics, and just looked for a mountain, where they could cultivate and then wait for student falling from heaven, that they could adopt as a pupil *G* (well at least, that's how nearly all storylines from the 80/90 Hongkong wuxia whatsoever dramas were ;D)

i bet there was more than just one faction or the emperor who wanted to kill her, right??

i cant wait for the last ep, after that, I am going to stab myself, coz there will be probably another 10 years passing before we can get s2 hahah*cries* or maybe never.

at last, with JOL, one could go to the novels and read the complete story. so that frustrating cliffhanger ending did not hurt too much.
while for SSS ,there is apart of machine google translations no proper english translation of the novel...

yeah, it would be great, if they film in one go, but from a financial pov , that would be too risky for the studios, i guess, what if the first season is not a hit?
they would have trouble to have all the spending, and then the return on investment would be not that great...

i could only found english machine translations, its really not a joy to read, so i gave up.

I would say, the shows all three shows , NIF and JOL and SSS, are excellent dramas, though i dont know how to put it in words, but they difficult to compare with each other, coz they are not exactly covering the same themes?
it would be like asking , if game of thrones is as good as ähh star wars, or if star wars is as good as matrix? or comparing game of thrones with lord of the rings?

all three shows NIF , JOL and SSS are great but if i were to force to just be allowed to keep one single one? i still would keep NIF though.
its still ranking numer 1 in my heart. nothing compares to that kind of nirvana in fire devastation ! hahah not even the pretty faces and gorgeous hearbreak of e.g. Untamed or Word of honor :D

your thoughts partially align with me! i think as well that XFN did not want ZK to die there, either by his hands, or by others. coz that would send so many signals to the imperial family, it would be a political nightmare.

another part of me thinks, coz of the scene between XFN shufu and his father, where his shufu said, he can know guess what XFN has for a plan, that XFN migth need ZK for one of his many own plots within plots, that only will be revealed in S2 probabably. Either way ZK could not die at Wudi city.

thanks for your advise! yeah, i gathered that much, after i went on amazon yesterday, to check out, what even would be available, and you are right, coz i am from the older generation, i guess, i tend to forget, that DVD and BD are not something commonly used in the age of streaming anymore.
and of course, you are right with the Japanese releases they have some gorgous DVD packages .

oh no, I am not interested at all in ther other dramas (at least, at this point). my entire reasoning for shelling out 30€ was only for SSS, and letting wetv know via faceboo,k that i did subscribe only because to support SSS. I mean, if that would ever be sold as DVD or BR, i would have probably spend that much money as well. hmm actually speaking of physical stuff, i wonder if there are DVD or BR of NIF or JOL... i am watching all that stuff on not so legal sites, or youtube, i have actually never spend money in my life for any streaming services yet. (except the mandatory state fee for the official channels, that you have to pay in Germany, Its ähh 18 EUR per month i think. our official channels - but our news and documentaries are really good so thats money i dont mind giving away )

hmm rambling again. question, coz i could not find the answer in wetv FAQ: do you know, if a paying user is allowed to share their subscription with other people? like netflix or youtube is allowing paying premium users to share the login with 2 or 3 others, i heard?

well i am not the initial commenter, but i can totally see, why some others might feel like the show is totally lacking.
there is hardly any romance or love or heated kissing scenes , like at all, so its not really a romance love drama.

and if one would be looking for lots of fighting scenes, well, thats not in the show either. sure, once in a while, there is fight, or a battle, but then, overall, not that much.

its mostly intrigue, politicial and personal politics and tragedies and everyone, even the most closest family members, are trying to manipulate and outwit each other and the slogan of guidance or wanting the best for the nation or so on. not to mention, dead masters, sufferings. dead mothers, dead fathers, dead parents, lost countries, dead wives, everything of those things is in plural, and happend to nearly all characters..its worse than game of thrones in terms of tragedies. nearly. lol.
they talk and then they talk, and then they talk even more. and like a million agenda, and each character has like seven layers. and at least 10 personas and 5 hidden masters.
phew. yeah, i totally both can see why it would appeal for some, and total boring for others. the me of 20 years ago? would totally skip this show. probably.
