A lot of fans online have pointed out how the actors look way better in bts clips then in the shows warm toned tinted filters. I wish they had chose a different tint because it sometimes washes out the actors. In the recent bts clip, LSY when she’s carried by LSG is glowing, whereas LSG in the suit looks better bts.

The editing seems to be the biggest issue for fans, I think they either rushed as they do and/or switched to a different team because it wasn’t working up till Ep 4 which was better. That’s why editing, sound design, and directing is a vital part alongside acting, one without the other undermines a show or film.

It’s a novel first, then webtoon later. A lot of people who read the novel said it was better than the webtoon. More dramatic.

Yeah whoever cast them noticed how they had chemistry in A Korean Odyssey, even when she was the 2nd FL. It’s hard to find Kdramas that have full romance plots done well now, the industry’s taste and standards have changed a lot since.

Probably because it has charm, is easygoing, heartfelt, and it's a comfort watch, perhaps? Having good characters played by talented actors who have good chemistry, for starters, can help a show be less lackluster. Also, since it just began, it might regroup itself for you later. Especially since the editing people had issues with, got better/improved in Ep 4 (let’s keep that editing person or team!!).

Aww yeah. I think there are always pros and cons to anything. But I wonder what will happen when Netflix falters; whose's the following streaming site? I wonder how long the Kdrama love will last.

Pros: More expansion and global reach for the actors. Thus, giving them more leverage to make more projects and money.

Cons: Multiple seasons now. More impetus on Global Audience.

Ex: Move to Heaven was a Netflix project they made and promoted a tiny bit, but it's underrated. Its obvious romance genre is the most popular with international fans (fandom, buzz, etc.). But on the flip side, now more than ever, people can view content quickly. Netflix knows a show will hit, and they promote it a lot which helps because most Kdramas get a few promos.

It’s ironic because back then even without Netflix, shows got huge internationally. I guess the audiences viewing consumption has changed since.

Right, I think it’s probably balancing the score out since a few of those shows will end this week or next. I think having likable actors here help, but now a days having a show on Netflix does help bring more attention to a project.

Haha, I think it also is better story wise to drag that part out. Have her deny her feelings until the guy confesses for real. She clearly is attracted to him, not just in looks, but also how he cares for her deeply when she’s in her darkest moments.

Given there are bed scenes in the Webtoon, and I’m sure Kbs won’t go there. But imagine Yuri actually gets to fulfill her wants of sleeping in the same blanket as him? Omo, I would die lol!

It’s a bummer but I think due to time constraints, they took a lot out I assume. THey had a special for this show before it aired, and a lot of scenes got cut :( There’s a scene where in Ep 1, when she comes to his place her heel get stuck, and he helps her with taking it off the stairs. Also, when Yuri is at work in Ep 1, and saying a witty thing. Short scenes like 1 minute long and yet it’s cut :(.

He does slimey dorky really well. He kinda seems like he’s fronting an image as a tough guy but he’s actually not lol. Good on the Vincenzo thing, indeed it does have those vibes here. He’s a funny and talented actor, & it was nice seeing him here! Hope they write him well, so the stakes feel deathly serious.
