Manman's ungrateful and small minded uncle do not deserve his wife at all.
A lot of us Asian kids grew up with parents like this, so it was just funny to see Wei Shao bring Manman two fruits after scolding her lol.
and I hope you enjoy the drama. each episode only gets better and better. happy watching ~
he should still go to hell though lol
I think we feel so strongly for these characters because although they might be fictional, we see ourselves in them and so we become protective of them.
Hate them or love them, if a writer can get us to care for their characters then they've done their job lol.
You said, "Manman did not really care at first about the losses that Wei Shao could have suffered, she used all the stratagems to counter his maneuvers if wei Shao had taken Boya he would not have been in this situation but Manman and the reason why Wei Shao did not take Boya" but she didn't even think of doing anything like this until she learned that Wei Shao was stationing soldiers around her homeland. She wasn't the one who was constantly threatening to kill all Weis and everyone in Wei state though; he was the one threatening her people and her homeland. She only wanted to protect her loved ones. So if it was you and you knew that people you loved were going to die, you would just sit back and do nothing?
Again, the Deer Hunt was an unfortunate situation. XQ wanted DQ and BZ to be there, but there wasn't enough time for her to solve the mess with Yulou and send an invitation out. To hold this against XQ as if XQ was purposely trying to be evil toward her own sister is ridiculous.
It has been clear from the very beginning that the book and the drama are two very different stories. In the drama, Wei never denied help to Boya when Boya asked, and Wei even sent supplies. I'm not sure why you are faulting the drama's version of XQ so much for something you believe happened in the book. They are not the same at all.
"she hoped that Wei Shao could defend Yanzhou by taking risks instead of taking sides to save Wei Shao. She didn't try to dissuade him from dividing his troops because she was relieved by Wei Shao's choice."
^ To this, I say XQ never asked Wei Shao to defend her homeland. She even said that she would understand if he only protected his own. It was his grandmother who advised him to protect Yanzhou. XQ did not dissuade him because she understood that he was his own person and she allowed him to make his own decisions. She wasn't relieved by his choice, she was touched by it. She was still very much concerned for him going to war regardless of where he went at all.
"Before wanting to save others, she must think about protecting the one who protects her and really helps her." You say this, but ignore the fact that DQ did not help the ones who really helped her. I can name numerous times that XQ has done something for DQ. What have DQ done for XQ? The ironic thing is if you only care for yourself, when the time comes for your destruction, no one will be left to help you.
Neither XQ or DQ are bad people. It was a horrible situation to be in for the both of them, but one of them wants to protect as many people as possible and one of them only wants to protect herself and the one she loves. Viewers are allowed to feel a certain way about this.
