he is a grown man who is largely in charge of the projects he chooses. If he wanted to he could be in shows that showcase more range but he clearly wants fame and the fastest way as an idol actor is through rom coms like this one. he's a big enough star i'm sure he's getting dozens of different scripts. he also probably knows his acting abilities better than us since almost all his projects are the same aloof pretty boy character. id love to see him tackle something different (it'd be so fun to see him play the antagonist for once) but it feels like you're kinda taking his autonomy away by acting as if he isn't aware of what he signed up for

is there anywhere to watch this legally in the states?

I will be adding kang ok to my list of sexy evil kdrama bisexuals (there are a lot) I knew he was an icon when he started descending from the hospital with a grappling hook

I like this a lot but it really should've been at least 14 eps to fully build the world and characters it wants to. everyone seems very one dimensional and its hard to get fully connected to them (esp the male lead). I get that Jiyong had a traumatic childhood, but IMO the only killing that was justified is the first one that personally affected him. Now he thinks he's some avenging angel and that he personally has the right to decide right v wrong. I wish the show was longer so we could properly expand on that, I even see some comments here who think what Jiyong is doing is justified. Its funny bc JY and Kang ok are doing the exact same thing, KO just isn't being all righteous about it.

it's also telling that JY isn't completely doing this just for the victims- he definitely enjoys the thrill of playing with the police- it shows in every interaction he has with the detective. there's so many psychological aspects of JY's character that I would love to see touched on, but with only 4 eps left I don't see that happening. why does this show have such a short runtime when escape of 7's nonsensical ass plot gets 17 eps and another season 😭

its veryyy fast paced. like this needed to be double the length to fully build the world its attempting to. im really enjoying it, but the characters and plot lines would be so much better and hit so much harder with more depth.

this Is probably one of the best first episodes of any BL to come out of Thailand. not only was it visually engaging, but emotionally as well. They really get you to sympathize with every character. not only was the chemistry between jimmy and sea amazing, but everything about their dynamic feels very natural. I didn't feel like they were brought together through the sheer power of BL magic. curious to see why there's so much tension between day and night. I already feel like this is going to be a tearjerker.

this show is also trying to humanize and redeem certain characters (jinmo, mone) which, with good writing could be attempted, but is laughable here. none of them have LEARNED anything, nor have they grown or have been shown to regret anything theyve done to Dami and countless other people. k is a psychopath but the rest of the seven are still murderers

I'm only on episode 13 but I think this is literally the most unserious non-sensical kdrama I've ever seen. I mean even penthouse had a tighter plot. this show should genuinely be classified as fantasy at this point considering how so many things are not even remotely within the realm of possibility of ever happening in real life. HOW did we get here 😭 like don't get me wrong I love mess and camp but the amount of plotholes in episode 13 alone is driving me insane. yes im still going to watch the next episode im clearly a masochist.

I’m a huge OOO fan so I definitely went into this biased but I liked it! Nine and KB were the best to me. Like KB really went for being the evil gay villian and I was living. Mill was a little weaker but he and Nine still had good chemistry, most of my faults lie with the very poor script and production

I do wish they had a better kiss (again I’m putting blame on the director not the boys since their own work for OOO is gayer than this show) and that they dove into the metaness of it all and the ship culture aspect with how it effects the kpop industry, but with the $5 budget they were working with I think this turned out all right.

I'm sorry I've always been a Top defender and this episode is no different! force does pining and puppy dog eyes so well I really felt for him this episode even though I'm aware he's in a mess entirely of his own creation lmao. book really ate this episode too, I was genuinely enjoying watching him on screen for the first time in the entire series. I think topmew is probably endgame but im unsure about raysand. im inclined to believe that in the last act top and sand's ex is going to make an appearance and stir shit up, there's no way they mentioned that connection to not use it

it is literally weird and predatory for a 23 or however old ze rui is to date a 17 year old 😭like its okay to suspend disbelief and support the couple bc its a show while also acknowledging that. its not 'woke' to call out the very real power imbalance there would be between them if this was a real relationship (him begging a minor to move in with him because he's the financially stable one another major red flag).

just because its legal on paper doesn't make it morally sound. there's nothing inherently wrong with teenagers exploring sexuality with people their own age, but that is not the same as a grown ass man having sex with a minor please be forreal

sex might not be a big deal to Boston, but he knows how important it is to Mew- someone he claims is a very important friend. So yeah, I do think what Boston did was pretty unforgivable as he knew the exact gravity of his actions, but he didn't care. mew was clearly more pissed at Boston for having sex with top than he was at top for having sex with Boston. Why? because he thought they were friends. That betrayal hurt more. From Mew's POV I can totally understand why he'd want him to die (which he obviously doesn't he was just being hyberbolic in the moment)

what ray also said was pretty apt, Boston didn't even apologize until Ray pointed it out. then after doing so half heartedly, he tried to further belittle mew in claiming that he wasn't top's first choice OR good enough. I cant imagine how much that hurt. so while yeah, the blackmail with the video might've been extreme- I don't necessarily feel bad for Mew using it as a scare tactic. hopefully now Boston can see how good a friend mew was as all things considered, he is completely justified in wanting to see Boston burn, and still didn't pull the trigger.

your analysis of Nick is completely spot on. I really like his character but there's definitely an unhealthy obsession there. you're right in that Boston has been nothing but upfront to nick about his intentions-even if the lines do blur. im curious to see if nick's fixation on Boston will slide further into darker territory or if it is just the mistakes of someone crazily in love

Mew villain era let’s goooooo!!!! I definitely knew something was coming because everything he said to Top in that last scene leading up to the reveal was sus. Revealing the tape like that was so perfect I hope to see Mew even more unhinged in the future.
