lol I don't get CL either.

the good thing about this drama that separates it from all the other female general dramas is the opening 10 episodes or so is basically set in FL's small rural village and focused on the main CP. Looking at the reception to Zhou Ye's drama that is currently airing, it seems like audiences don't really buy these female general dramas because the actresses look too.. weak. At least we won't see complaints in the opening episodes lol

tbh this is like an idol drama. you kind of have to check your brain in a locker while watching it lol logically, there is absolutely NO WAY a girl with the build of Zhou Ye could get away with "being a man" unnoticed. But.. this is not a serious historical drama lol it's an idol historical drama that is about pretty people, pretty clothes etc.

is this something users can change? because I agree. he has so many better pics

ngl hope neither of these are true :x I hang around chinese forums a lot and these two have very... hard to deal with fans. after Chasing Jade, I kind of just want some peace lol I hope Linghe works with an actress with few fans like WCR or XRH

it's not one of her popular novels. it's a spin off of TLTSILY but not nearly as well known.

I feel like there's going to be a lot of .. discussions when this drama comes out because some of the plot lines I feel like will be a touchy subject

I honestly don't get why they bought the rights for the novel. the original novel isn't even that popular lol could've just written an original script.

is it overdo clips lol I feel like of all his dramas, the filming clips for Overdo is extremely popular on tiktok

I think the annual IQIYI conference is in September. I hope we'll get a more full trailer that is more plot focused.

jin chen's fight scenes are so cool. you can tell she has a background in dancing because of how fluid her movements are

I will be tuning in! This drama will kick start all the female general historical dramas that are lined up lol I think there's at least 5 other female general dramas waiting to air.

I feel like this has potential to be a dark horse. The last IQIYI drama with a similar genre (Coroner's Diary) did very well. The previews look good. I'll be tuning in. This comment section might not be very active tho because this doesn't focus on romance.

weirdly enough I think the female sub-leads have nice costumes but FL for some reason looks way too modern..

is there a reason the clock is so big on the poster? does this have time travel element? ngl I'm trying to understand why some of the costumes look so modern lol
