tbh they've changed a lot from the novel so we don't know who the villain is lol

fans are complaining about the hairstyles and outfits but imo what's important is how it looks on camera. I've seen a lot of republican dramas that looked great in fan taken pics (eg the one with CXX and ZJY) but the actual product was very underwhelming. It'd be great if we could get a short teaser so fans can calm down a bit lol

so.. is this still airing? rumored to air mid July but there's no news whatsoever. the iqiyi historical drama airing Jul 16th already released final trailers.

this is so so much better quality than flouish in time. just the cinematography/lighting alone is on another level.

I don't think so. This one is scheduled for July and already has the broadcasting license. The other one still doesn't have a broadcasting license and I think the earliest it'll air is in August.

No lie this is my most anticipated drama! Anyone that has seen me in the comment section knows I have always been on the negative side about this drama because the material we've been shown so far (posters, the first trailer) have been so average. but this trailer.. this trailer!! it gives me Reply series or 2521 vibes. Especially in the second half of the trailer when the english song starts playing, the chemistry is there!

I think after TPR, his choice of scripts has improved significantly. Honestly I wasn't really interested in his selections before as it was mostly run of the mill historical dramas. Zhu Yu imo is also kind of run of the mill but the director is what makes the project interesting. I was skeptical about Our Generation because the posters look so low budget lol but the trailer was surprisingly high quality. Now with Overdo, he's going in another direction with a republican era drama. The hair looks a bit suspect so far but given how his dramas have managed to surprise me, I'm willing to wave aside my skepticism.

this one is airing on both iqiyi & tencent. but previously he mostly worked with iqiyi because I think his company has a contract with them. Other actresses under his company (LYT & LYX) also act in a lot of iqiyi dramas.

I think the hairstyle is a bit too modern. shouldn't his hair be shorter? and without bangs?

I'm confused how this can air lol I saw teasers and they're legit kissing? why are all those big budget BLs still buried when it doesn't have anywhere near as much skinship

honestly I think this could be doing much better if the promo material wasn't so misleading. tencent made it seem like this would be a typical youth romance drama (like stuff the leads have done in the past) but this is more like.. an investigative thriller

so I read on XHS that Overdo (lol this english title) already finished the table read and finalized the hair/costumes. booting ceremony is scheduled for the 25th. guess we'll see pics from daipais soon

it honestly depends on CCTV 8's scheduling and it always changes randomly. Our Generation is only 24 episodes tho so it'll basically finish airing in a week (TV broadcasts air daily with no pauses)

I'm laughing so hard because there so much PLOT lol I remember chinese walnuts were worried TBT wouldn't air well because it didn't have much of a plot but thankfully it did well. Now Linghe did a 180 and took on a drama that has too much plot

I had the re-read the plot outline and character synopsis 3 times and I still don't really get it lol maybe it'll make more sense in action
