I think the problem here is that there’s one large fanbase purposely amplifying the situation and trying to bring it to the attention of the ccp. Under normal circumstances this should air with no issue. I remember SOKP 3rd male lead has problems with political opinions but the drama aired normally, and he had significant amount of scenes at the beginning of the drama. the production team just censored his name from promotions.

But like i said, it’s tough to predict here because that fandom is trying to make the issue worse

imo teaser for ZY is too short to comment on much but there were a few shots where he reminded me of ChangHeng. the vulnerablity I mean

2026 at the earliest. Blossom (same director) wrapped filming in early 2024 and was released in December 2024 but that had a shorter filming duration.

imo teaser is too short to really comment on anything. I like the cinematography so far and you can def tell it's the same director from Blossom. He has a specific blue lighting that he likes using.

imo TPR promotions was just normal. they had two offline events (with the entire cast! not just FL&ML) and went on Hi6 (after the drama finished airing). Compare that to some of the other drama promotions. I won't name names but some actors/actresses have intimate photoshoots or straight up pretend to kiss on TV lol but Linghe gets called out for just holding hands with his costar.

there was initial drama about the billing and the production company did nothing to clarify things. then the fans of ML and FL kept fighting on weibo. I think it affected the actors themselves because you can see they didn't even take a pic together during the wrap party.

lol do you know what's funny? his antis on chinese sites say he promotes CP and I'm like??? he barely even has any offscreen interactions with his FL. I think TPR was the most he's ever promoted with a FL and it was just normal interactions.

finally!! I can say this was the most stressful filming I've followed to date lol so much fighting between fans and the production company did nothing to stop it. oh well. onto the next one (republican drama which starts filming in June!) and in the meantime there's the 3rd season of variety show

tbh as a linghe fan, I have my expectations for this drama set pretty low. there's just so much behind the scenes fighting and the production company doesn't seem to care either. oh well. just wait for it to air and get it over with.
