tbh I thought that too when I read the cast list but I watched the trailer and ngl SWL aged a lot compared to Go Ahead days

also idk if anyone here follows kpop, but heyu looks sooo much like hyunjin from stray kids like I did a double take in certain scenes

she has good chemistry with her co-stars imo so once you buy their chemistry, you start to like the actors too

tbh these are all very veryycommon tropes.

plot kind of reminds me of the taiwanese dramas I watched when I was little like Outsiders.

one big plus is the visuals and in particular lighting. the lighting reminds me of 90s HK films like Chungking Express. Finally, a director that's not afraid to use colors! I swear 90% of modern cdramas like to use a blinding white filter that just white washes everyone

btw I finally watched Fox Spirit and his cameo was super short but I really liked this costuming and esp the wig. I feel like this wig is 10000x better than the one he had in TPR which looked really fake lol

ughhh I read a melon that ZY is postponed to after March! that's the annoying part of dramas airing on duo channels, it's hard to find a schedule

bad news, reliable melon accounts said the release date is prob pushed back to after March so maybe Q2 :(( I really hope this isn't true because there are so many snow scenes in this drama and it wouldn't make sense to air it in any season other than Winter

if you're talking about the scene in the first trailer where they kiss each other's cheeks.. it's pretty obvious they were putting on a show for whichever character is offscreen (I think the guy FCY used to like?)

Can you stop stalking me everywhere and getting mad when I don't say something remotely positive? FYI I am Chinese. I go on Chinese forums (douban) and social media (weibo) everyday. Esther IS in deep waters right now over her family issues. Pretending it's not real won't make it go away. I like her btw, which is why I hope this airs smoothly.

this is rumored for Dec 9th or 10th but I think with Esther's current situation, they can't confirm the release ahead of time.. so we'll see if it can air. tbh I hope this airs well because I really think Esther is being unfairly treated for something that she wasn't responsible for.

Born With Luck is a miniseries (I think only 20ish episodes), it won't take up much calender time

for Tencent, their big drama left for 2025 is Shine on Me (Song weilong & Zhao Jinmai). That is rumored for Dec 15 premiere.

for IQIYI, they MIGHT release Speed and Love but no confirmations yet because Esther's situation is still tricky. If not, then they might move up The Unclouded Soul

it's a similar concept to adding the drama to your watchlist on VIKI. you get notifs when the show premieres

but as that reddit post says, reservation numbers are very easy to manipulate by the platform but usually they only start increasing the numbers when premiere date is near. ZY is still a fair ways away so imo the current reservation numbers is realistic.
