tsk,..... "what it means to be adult" means to just mate randomly and be familiar ... gosh...
Why are you so frustrated that you had to leave 2 comments basically saying the same thing? Are you an adult that never got out of your teenage phase and my comment hit a nerve or something?
My comment never meant to define what being an adult means, you are quoting me on something that I did not even write, that is not how you use quotation marks. Every adult is different but if we are talking about most adults, yes, they do not behave the way a lot of the adults in this drama behave.
P.S. - I do not like when a drama makes the leads "mate" like you said and act like statues either. I actually prefer for them to not have a physical relationship too soon into their relationship. But that does not mean I want to see 2 adult people playing hide and seek for an entire drama. This is a writing problem, the characters were not well written, not realistic and their romance fell flat.
I was shocked that they didn't start giving her a little bit of a baby bump as the weeks passed. Just baggy clothes…
I think that was in the first few episodes. I even forgot about it. It was almost like after connection between the leads was made through the pregnancy, they completely forgot about it and then in the last 2 episodes they remembered she was pregnant.
But we still never got to see her even look pregnant - they skipped from her being a few months pregnant with no baby bump showing to the kid being already out and big enough to sit on its own. ^^'
yes, since netflix takeover, kdramas have beem on a downhill slide. More money and more exposure but less quality...
Let's not go from 8 to 80.
Couples can be a bit silly when they are together and we all have moments when we act like children playing pranks, having fun and all that BUT no real life adult acts like the leads in this drama do most of the time. Maybe teenage couples but we are talking about people who are almost in their 40s here.

I love romance in my dramas but a good drama does not necessarily need romance to be good. There are some really good dramas that have little to no romance and are just really well executed with original stories, great acting and production.

Exactly. That and how many times have we seen her run around like she does not have another life growing inside her and tripping and falling down could not result in a miscarriage? The early months are the most dangerous ones, she should be avoiding running, being careful around stairs and such.
She is not acting like a pregnant woman at all. Where is the morning sickness, the need to pee more often than usual, ....? No symptoms at all.
After watching 10 episodes (waiting for ep 12 to be out to watch the last 2) I can safely say this is an ok drama but it is not memorable or great by any means.
I seem to have 2 main issues with it, the crazy sister-in-law aside:
1 - The FL is pregnant but in 10 hours of content there are only a few mentions of it, 1 or 2 visits to the doctor and she avoiding alcohol. The pregnancy is there solely to create a connection between the leads, an excuse for their romance to happen, and not much more. She does not look pregnant, does not act pregnant, nothing. I was not expecting to see a baby until the end but we do not even get to see her progress in her pregnancy. The timeline of the drama is like 1-3 months at most.
2 - The leads are in their 30s, probably closer to their 40s, yet they behave like teenagers, not just because they are inexperienced in love but in general. I will be 32 next month and I stopped acting like this when I was at most 18 or 19. I know we are all children on the inside but adults do not behave like the main leads and some other supporting chracters do. Seeing people this old talking and acting like they did in certain situations felt so cringy, their characters felt so cartoonish.
I am having fun watching it but it has not been a drama that I anxiously wait for new episodes or that I want to watch while eating without skipping a single second of it. It is just another drama I watched. I will probably forget about it soon.
Unfortunately, in recent years a lot of kdramas have been forgettable to me. There have been some good ones but there have also been some that feel lazy. I know some people, specially newcomers, will be very satisfied to get these dramas but as someone who has been watching kdramas for over 15 years, since they started to stream them on Netflix and other platforms, the quality has been going down. I used to mostly watch kdramas but in recent years have leaned more towards cdramas because of this.
EDIT: After finishing the drama I stick to what I wrote. They looked like kids playing house, it felt so cartoonish and she acted more pregnant in the last scene than she did the entire drama. Did the actress not want to wear a fake belly or something?, because for the entire drama we do not see her look actually pregnant, not even in the last episode.
yc is the main reason i can not rate this drama more than 6 so far .....
That was also a possibility. I kinda saw that happening when she was living with the FL parents and enjoyed the food and care they gave her. But no, they just decided near the end that she was totally redeemable and deserved a FL level kind of happy ever after.
I probably did too. Have not watched daily dramas for a few years. Probably forgot about some other daily drama that I hated 5 years ago or something. ^^' My main issue with this one is that I saw potential in it for the first half or so just to see it go downhill in the second half.
The worst daily drama I've seen was The Two Sisters. That was AWFUL!
Did not watch that one so I cannot comment but I believe you just for the fact that as a Korean production it has a rating of 5.4 I think that is the lowest rating I have seen on something out of South Korea here on MDL.
I think everyone hated the FL, including the writers. Cha Jeong Won had no chance from the start. Sigh
Her ending was also boring. Ju Yeong Chae got the typical FL happy ending and the FL got whatever that ending was. For me the second half of the drama turned into a circus. They could have made the FL character a really interesting anti-heroine but reduced her to just another character participating in the circus that the second half was.

That is exactly one of the points I mentioned in my review. Her character was completely unnecessary once the FL fully assumed her identity. Even if she died in Italy or something, her mother would have kept the FL as her fake daughter just for the shares. The ending they gave her made me want to throw up.
I have watched several "soap opera" style kdramas over the years but this was honestly the worst of all of them.
Up until half of the drama (around ep 50) it was tolerable although I felt they were throwing big reveals left and right too soon and worried what they would do for the other half.
Here is how this could have been at least decent:
- Ju Yeong Chae should have been written off pretty early on. Maybe died while she was not in South Korea. Her mother would still have gone ahead with the plan of marrying off the FL as her daughter for her own interests. - Cha Jeong Won should have stayed longer in the house playing the daughter-in-law role, maybe even getting pregnant to bring more complexity to the situation and slowly getting revenge on her mother. Her identity was revealed too early, it was supposed to be the main conflict and BIG SECRET of the plot. - A lot of the new reveals and birth secrets that were added in the second half should not have existed, instead of adding to the plot they made it worse. - They should not have ruined Jin Se Hun's character completely. - The FL did not deserve an easy happy ending but Ju Yeong Chae deserved it even less. The ending they gave her is something you would expect a FL to get. Her relationship with Jin Se Hun was even less believable than his fast infatuation with the FL after only a few dates. The 2 of them together made me want to throw up.
I could complain about so much but to sum it up, believe the reviews with really low ratings. The first half is ok but the second half is a circus and the clowns are us, the viewers.
what did u even gather from the synopsis? all i gathered was brainrot
Exactly. I do not know if the drama is that bad or if the person who wrote the synopsis has no business writing anything. So many words used and they conveyed nothing at all. The synopsis itself bored me because it felt pointless.
Don't start by reading comments atleast not from the comments on this app
Since the summary is not doing this drama any favors, reading comments is the only way I can tell what the story is even about and how most people feel about the drama. I read many comments to make sure I am not relying on just one person's opinion.
The summary alone does not make me want to start this...it sounds boring. I will wait until more episodes are out to read comments and decide if it is worth watching.
