Did not expect to enjoy the drama as much as I did. It was entertaining. Although IMO, it should ended at episode 32.
Really praising Zhou Yu Tong and her character Zhao Jian. When the tag mentioned Strong Female Lead, she is DEFINITELY a strong female lead. Often I see those type of tags and then watching a drama, to only find out that the FL is only 'strong' for about 5-6 episodes and then her personality gets generic. But Zhao Jian is completely independent, has her own ambitions and thoughts, know what she want and how to achieve it.
If they make a season 2 (after that open ended finale), I hope they recast everyone. Their chemistry was really nice together, especially those banters you do around close friends.
Even with make-up on, you can't hide true emotions. Her ears were beets red when she lay on top of him drunk. Lol. Poor girl, must've been an embarrassing scene.
Also found this happens alot in other dramas too. hahah.
It seems like the Leads of this drama specifically stated 'No Kissing' in their contract or their company does not allow kissing, because that's exactly what happened! I heard this was an adaption from a novel, that's unfortunate. I thought the leads had what it takes if the script were written better, but they gave the performance based on what was given, it's a pity.
You should not watch this if you're not a fan of the tagged categories. Even if you are, might want to reconsider...:D
wait but the ML figured out the FL was a girl like on ep 4 which is pretty early
True. I mean the way they filmed it does made it seems like he figured out at that time - that 'He' was' She', because the ML turns his head away. I mean if both are dudes and you see another naked dude, you don't need to abruptly turns your head away like that. Lol
If you like a more detective-work and not so much on romance, then Under The Power would be a good watch. If you like more romance side than detective, then this would be a good watch. :D
IMO the writing could use a little tweak/polish to make some scenes believable. Otherwise, not a bad series (:.
Also, does anyone know who sang the beginning/ending OSTs? Please and Thank Youuuu!

Didn't he have an illness where his eyes cannot see that well at night? (due to the war) I thought they had outline that in earlier episode?
He only saw the back, which in this case, any one @ss would look the same. Lol. Finding out the FL is a girl in 4 episodes is pretty fast, comparing to others.
I do agreed with you regarding the casting for the ML. IMO, Zheng Ye Cheng's character in Love of Thousand year…
I tried watching Legend of Fuyao, but it didn't click with me, so I stop lol. Although I watched Listening Snow Tower, people said it's similar to Fuyao. I liked it, very Wuxia-kind. Tree with Deep Roots is a favorite of mine, good action + slight comedy.
I tend to avoid Chinese romance-focus drama, because it is always freaking 40+ episodes! (Unless if my actors/actresses are in it, else I'll skip it hahah). If I want romance focused, I'd rather watch Korean ones, since most of them are under 24 episodes. Else I'm the same as you, wuxia and xianxia, if there's romance in it, it is not all bad. :D
If you hadn't already, here some of my favorites in recent year (Koreans): Search WWW, great acting, great story. Very strong female leads! Prison Playbook, a black/dark comedy genre. Hospital Playlist (my top 5 :D), friendship, medical, extremelyyyyyy great cast and acting. Stranger, crime/investigation. Season2 just came out!

Nice! Zhao Lusi in Love of Thousand Years is another great upcoming actress. I look forward on her production.
I really liked Rise of the Phoenixes. I thought Kun Chen and Ni Ni had great chemistry. Im kind of sad that Ni Ni isn't in many historical production, she's super gorgeous and talented. One reason why I watch Love and Destiny, even though it is very similar to Ten Miles Peach. Lol.
Seems like you are more towards romance-centric, I like a bit more actiony-type. In recent year, Joy of Life and The Longest Day in Chang'an are my personal favorite.
If you love traditional Wuxia dramas, anything Jin Yong or Gu Long's adaptation related, I think you will like this too. You can't get any more Wuxia than this.
It has secret martial arts manual, unorthodox and orthodox sect, reining for supreme in Jianghu, scheming, bittersweet love, betrayal, and awesome swordsplay choreography. Although if you're not used to this type of genre, you might get confused as they introduces many characters, clans, and things happening in Jianghu.
Great acting from actors/actresses. IMO this drama should rated at least between 8-8.5.
Also, what's with ML in white clothe, sickness, and calm demeanor? Lol. Lin Shu from Nirvana in Fire and now Xiao Yi Qing.
Since all the bodies from world B's serial murders by the doctor were hidden off in world A, the cases would have…
You're right, I completely forgot that Chief Oh moved the bodies to World A. Lol.
I thought the drama was great, it is hard to take on parallel world and have it make sense. Just that with this ending, it made one realizes that 'I watched those 10 great episodes, to these final 2'.
Im a bit confused, can someone explain it to me if I am thinking incorrectly. On episode 11, it seems like most of the female victim that died, were patient of the Doctor. Now, if there were a serial killer and were linked to the case from 12 years ago, wouldn't the police team and Dowon fact check them extremely well, i.e what those victims have in common. If this is so, wouldn't they already linked it to the Doctor instead of wasting 12 episodes just to figure out who it is? Did I miss something?
Also, I thought Chief Oh mentioned that if Dowon wasn't in his original world and in other worlds, the balance will be tipped off. So in episode 12, SK and DW met in world C. Wouldn't the balance be off, thus causing them to eventually flee to multiple worlds? Is that an intended ending?
No matter which world Chief Oh went, her son was the killer. Hence she saw many version of him died by suicide. If this was also the case, then doesn't that mean World C also have the Killer Doctor...? Unless he has already died by suicide.
I think I'd rather prefer this type of relationship than a typical triangle love, where 2 Young Masters are fighting…
Ohyeah I totally agree. I meant not a typical love triangle as in 2 ML likes her from the get-go, whereas here we see the 2nd ML developed his feelings and felt guilty towards his emotions that he has for his Imperial Sister. Being a Prince and a King suckksss.
I'm only on ep 2 but am confused why the ratings are so hard and why some people have mentioned this is better…
I do agreed with you regarding the casting for the ML. IMO, Zheng Ye Cheng's character in Love of Thousand year was developed and wrote better than this character here, his acting there was believable. I think they might have done a miscast for this role here. When I look at him, I don't see a General who has killed 1,000 people. If he played a Son of the General, that would be more believable. His face is too pretty, no scars, no callouses, no rough air or stoic. Can't sell me that he is a General, same with his personal bodyguard.
However, he was casted and given a script and had a job to do. So him being stony face, no impression, and etc. I can understands all that. I just think the role was miscast, not that his acting is terrible.
As for the FL, I found her adorable, a happy-go-lucky type of Princess. I take her background into consideration. As she grew up with a "unnatural" power, seeing the future when she dreams, I would also become numb to the events if that happens to me frequently. If it happens, I'll just go "sigh..here it is again". So I do understands why she wasn't scared nor terrified (she has endured it for 15-16 years already). I also don't think her acting is terrible.
Since this is a rom-com, there are alot of sweet and cute moments. This is not the type of drama to be taken seriously nor so bad that it pass as a joke, it's just a fun drama to watch leisureky. (:
Is Xing Chen the 2nd male lead? I'd rather he wasn't as we don't get that many good brother/sister relationships…
I think I'd rather prefer this type of relationship than a typical triangle love, where 2 Young Masters are fighting over a girl. This seems a bit more real. Your childhood sweetheart likes someone else, you wanted the best for her but at the same time, you also wants to be selfish and asks her to choose you.
At least this one we can see the struggle and the development of Xing Chen's feelings, justifying his love for his Imperial Sister. 1) Is it because she all he had since he was young (this is true), or 2) He began to see her as a woman and has yet to realized it (he did later on).
He had good self control (aphrodisiac scene) and didn't seem to step over much boundaries once he realizes his feelings. He still want to protect her (Im only up to ep14).
Wowow, so I guess that's one way to kill off one of the Dowons (episode8).
Based on the preview, the psychiatric(B) seems to be a 2-times killer instead of the real serial killer that Dowon is chasing. Because whoever was on that train talking to Dowon(A) on the telephone, certainly knew about the parallel world. Psychiatric(B) doesn't seem to know. If psychiatric(B) is the serial killer, then either I'm missing something or writer messed up. With only 4 episodes left I wonder how it's going to play out.
Is it too late to pinpoint another suspect as a serial killer? Maybe psychiatric(A) is the serial killer and he migrated to World(B)? Did they mention him at all?
It could be Yoo In Ho who send out the letter to everyone, like a practical joke/puzzle that he wanted people to solve. So the next morning, he would say "I know who touched the safe" just to know who's loyal and who's greedy. But unfortunately for him, it back-fire and he accidentally got killed by multiple people.
Otherwise, it could be Ji Seol Young who send it out. Seeing how she wrote some kind of story on her laptop. Maybe it was of a story regarding this family and the murder methods? Although the way they filmed those scenes might just to throw us off. Haha.
Or maybe it could be Dok Go Seon, since she wrote the blog and wanted attention. Once the father died, she knew she would get those attention?
Maybe Yoo Bit Na herself sleep walk and did all those? lmao.
"Chip-In" a collective murder method by his family. D:
Female lead is super adorable, nemesis turns into best of friends. An enjoyable watch. (:

Hope I didn't ruin it for ya. ;-;
