Ep13; why they gotta hit us with the feels at the start of the episode! Xu Xiao have so many loyal subordinates under him. I guess some he blackmailed too, haha. Heavy is the head who wears the crown. To keep Beilang peaceful, so much burden for him and Xu Feng Nian. If the Xu family have these many experts following them, then I wonder how much stronger is the Royal family.

Off topic but Zhang Tian Ai is really pretty~. Although I don't mind if there's romance or not, but I did hope she and Jiang Ni switch leading spots, I think it'll be fun having a martial buddy on his journey. Reminding me of Haitang Duo Duo and Fan Xian, their chemistry and interaction was hilarious.

I don't think JN or his adoptive brothers that is being shown so far, are bad guys. You will find out more in later episodes. But so far, I do not believe they are.

As for JOL, definitely definitely watch it. It is my top favorite drama besides Nirvanas In Fire. The romance is there, but it is not the main point, and you would probably glad that it is! because this drama is so much more. It wasn't as prominent in the novel, either. It's focus more on politics but I can guarantee you that it is not boring.

Ep10; Holycrap the nostalgia from 90s-2000s wuxia drama. Where you have the hero trains by himself in the background with waterfalls, books, and OST. hahahah. I love it. The way the scenes are shot is very old style too haha.

I partially agree. Signing a deal for multiple seasons expanding multiple years is a gamble for the production team, because the actors and actress must be on their best behavior lol. Because look at what happened to Kris Wu. Sometimes when you found the right actors/actresses, their schedule in the future might be conflicting with your filming and so you would have to navigate around it, it is a pain for them and us audiences. Although I think Covid is what made it extremely difficult to film anything, if at all. Projects getting pushed back several months if not years.

However, if you liked season 1, and if the same writer/actors stays for the remainder of the seasons, you guys are definitely in for a treat! Because the remainder of the stories, oh man it get super exciting and good. Expect a lot of scheming's, comedic banters, and martial arts!

Oh noesss D:. I never saw Terrisa Li's acting before but I noticed your comments a while back regarding her pouting everytime (maybe that's how her character is?), so now I am paying attention to that hahah. However, it doesn't bother me as much. Im rather more interested in the background of the Xu's family. How can the Xu family have so many experts willingly helping them. How the relationship is being developed, albeit slowly, between Feng Nian and his servants, his brothers, his father, bodyguards etc. I like how each actions and words from each character subtly hints the feelings they had for one another whether that's romantically, friendship or even loyalty too.

Maybe take a break for now, and then binge it when it's done? :D.

I believe it is to prevent molding? or if the pages/writing goes bad? I think...haha

A well written script is what drama needed, but I think the OSTs are like the icing on the cake and what make it more enjoyable!

Seen up to episode 6 and I think it's great so far. Reminds me alot of older days wuxia fight sequences. Its not flashy like modern days, but still enjoyable. Also reminds me of Jing Yong and Gu Long novels where we have old monsters with epic martial arts :D. The pace might be slow for some, but we're not competing for a marathon so just let the story unfold. We're still in the younger stage of the story and nothing is set yet, there's so many questions and mystery shrouded around Beiqang and the Xu's family. The saying a tiger would not born a dog son; Xu Feng Nian is intelligent, but he still pale compare to his Father.

Since this is a 38 series with possible seasons, I think it's fair to watch at least 15-20% of the show before deciding to continue! (5-7 episodes). If you're not feeling it after +-5 episodes, that's OK too , it's fair! :D

I am definitely enjoying the show as well! I mean I can spaz all day about it, but the waiting is killing me. Happens with every new show where we wait for the next episodes. Sigh ;-;

Even if they have minimal fight scenes, I think I would still like it plenty! Because the story is intriguing me so far. The only bad thing I would say is....the episode is too short!!! It should be at least 50 mins long :D. The intro and ending songs already take like 10 mins >.>.

Haha seriously! If you told me this was a Stephen Chow production, I would of believe you! And that's not saying its bad, maybe it reminds me of older days when they did the slow motion scenes and stare down haha. Just finished episode 2 and Im very intrigue by this Prince's background. How he acted towards his father and his demeanor!

Why are the servants are all so pretty. Ahh my eyes are blessed.

The way they film the scenes are a bit..odd? haha. The dialogue is also odd. Seems like alot of cut and paste scene and not fluid for episode 1. Again, I really hope that they did not butchered the drama and condense scenes together....cause that would suck for such a great cast.

Just saw the third trailer. How are all the cast so pretty! Also, glad to see some actors/tress from JOL! Did they decreased the episode count? I thought it was at 45 episodes, but only seeing 38 here. Hopefully they did not butchered/condensed the drama >.>...like Dance of the Sky Empire. It was so condensed that some did not make sense.

Ah yes..I saw that bit, and then I think I also saw some oil got down into the water and made it so shiny...>.>. Can't help it when there's food. I think there is a place in Japan where they shoot noodles down the water like this and people just grab the noodles with their chopsticks. Oh lord the sanitary.

Just finished this up to episode 8, the vibe is very similar to The Longest Day In Chang'an (personally, a great series 8.5-9/10). So if you had watched that series, you might be interested in this one also. High production and they did a great deal of not making the set 'empty', and tried to make the environment as realistic as possible.

Ji Sung was great as always. However, Kim Min Jung, wow. I think this is my first drama with her, she's definitely amazing. Gorgeous and classy as well! She stole the show every time that she's on, besides Ji Sung. What a great performance.

I really do hope so. I come here once a week just to check praying that the status changes, but alas. D:
