He appear here and there with his Sword Servant, but he officially meet Feng Nian at Wudi City later. However, drama adaptation might showcase differently on how they meet.

Ohyeah. I just passed the chapter that she showed up again. It's not that she's learning swordsmanship like Li Chun Gang or Cao Chang Qing to kill or anything, but rather she's learning the essence and telekinesis the way of the swords. She can control swords and ride on them now :D. She's really talented based on LCG and CCQ evaluation.

She wanted to be strong so she can protect their family. Actually, both elder sisters had the same thought and made sacrifices.

Their family goes something like; Elder sister is afraid of Father, Father is afraid of Feng Nian, Feng Nian runs away from Second sister, and youngest brother love Feng Nian the most lol

Feng Nian needs someone to bicker and control him. He jokes around too much and Pu Ye is very hardcore and serious about martial arts. They would get bored with each other very fast lol. Jiang Ni is probably the only one who doesn't care about his status, others are either in awed, afraid, or just wanna sucker up.

If alot of people like Pu Ye then the director did a wonderful job at casting, because in the novel, she's is described as incredibly beautiful and handsome, which translate very well with Zhang Tian Ai :D. Although...so far, the book described Pu Ye as a male. :P

Well if we're looking at actress, then yeah, but if we're just looking at character wise, she is probably 1-2 years younger than him. She was with him during his mother's funeral, so they should be around the same age.

She's Shu Xiu (Zhang Yi Shang). They wrote her character differently compare to novel, but it still works IMO lol

As I read so far, chapter 276, Feng Nian is using one of the saber from Pangong Pu Ye on his journey. He also have 12 swords gifted to him by Deng Taia. These swords are special in the sense that the owner needs to drop their blood to materialized and control the swords. He can't control all 12 yet, but he is learning to as he go.

Li Chun Gang probably warmed up to Feng Nian and wanted to continue his legacy. I think before parting ways, he also imparted some swords knowledge to Feng Nian.

I think they would have to cut alot of parts from the novel if they are going to fit it in less than 3 seasons. With the pacing right now, I think it'll stop at chapter 200ish. The novel is about 1000 chapters lol.

I'd say Chen Ping Ping, mainly due to his status. In here, Xu Xiao holds 300.000 military might and so even if he schemes, as an opponent you are always thinking about his military might and would not be confident to retaliate. Also, it seems like he has more leeway with the Emperor, in short, he hold real power.

Whereas Chen Ping Ping is a subject of the King. He has to put on an act with the King for decades to make his plans turn into fruition. One mistake that is discovered by the King would end his life, so he has to be more meticulous. His mentality is one of the best, if not the best, for enduring shame for so many years. When I was reading the novel, my mouth shaped was like :O. lol

It might be hard to compare since in JOL, there's are a bunch of great schemers, the Elder Princess, Northern King, etc and the Emperor is incredibility smart. So it takes alot to fool him. Whereas in SSS, I hadn't seen anyone that could be on equal footing with Xu Xiao, he lacks real opponent as of now.

But both are scary either way, I'd rather face Chu Lusan, atleast that fatty can kill me faster.

Yeah, there's no real translation for the novel yet. I read it through an machine translation website, it's about 80% understandability. Only thing that's hard to read is pronouns (she, he, her etc), meaning of names and some sentence structures, but I got the gist of it, haha.

I think she might be his love interest in the long run, I hope she is, Feng Nian viewed her as important as his family.

She has the ability of Drax from Guardian of the Galaxy, if she stays perfectly still, you cannot see her. :D

In the novel, she's actually knew Feng Nian when they were small. His mother brought her to him. You can say that she's loyal to his mother and thus loyal to him. I THINK, I think, she's the granddaughter of some spear expert that was famous back in Jiang Hu. That's how she got the spear. She's formidable with it.

She might not make anymore appearances until season 2. So I think there should be an edit to her role as Main to Support. Sword God should be moved to Main cast, he's with the MC for their remainder of the journey. Although minimal dialogue, Qing Niao and Ning E Mei are also with the MC throughout his journey too.

I think it's the Phoenix Battalion by Ning E Mei. Feng should be Phoenix in Mandarin? Sometimes military battalion are named after spiritual beings. Tiger, Dragon, Phoenix, then you also have the Eagle, Hawk, Wolf etc haha

Since the show is probably expanding to s2 and s3, I think her character will developed slowly if anything. Which to the general audience will not be received well. Even now, they do not find any chemistry between the two. Ironically enough the interaction they had here had more chemistry than the novel (I read up to when Feng Nian enters Jing'an, so episode 17-21).

People wants (even I at the beginning) Pangong Pu She to be the FL because of their chemistry. But I realized that is due to Zhang Tian Ai who had a previous drama with ZRY, so their chemistry is proven. However, as Pangong Pu She in the novel, her appearances are as little as the screen time she had in the drama, that part is true (again, only catching up to the drama from novel). I think Jiang Ni is fine right now, fits well with the ML. One lost her kingdom, one who will be shouldering his kingdom. He loves to tease, She wants to kill. She's crazy about money, He doesn't lack money. Both are children of unfortunate event. Funny pair.

They might explore more depth of each character in later seasons, in which I am feeling unsure about. Possibly due to the wait time and competition from other drama later on. People might potentially forget about this. Lol

Yeah unfortunately the social status of women are league below men. That's why we don't see many female heirs in dramas, if any. Even by today standard there are still people looking down on women, it sucks, but its reality.

If you liked it, then maybe you might also like similar filmed scenes produced by Zhang Ji Zhong. I am not sure if you heard of him, but he did produced dramas like Return of the Condor Heroes 2006, Dragon Sword Sabre 2009, etc. His work also have some slow mo scenes and some are artistic, filming in real places and such, however the slow mo scenes are not as extensive like SSS.

I liked that producer, so you might want to check him out if you hadn't already. Fight scenes are pretty great in his films IMO.
