Is it ever explained in the novel how Fan Xian ever managed to reincarnate in the first place? Or who exactly…
Inside the Temple is like a mystical 'machine' that somehow collected Fan Xian's dying soul and transported him into the body of the baby Fan Xian of this world. I believe Ye Qingmei was born within the Temple. There were human beings there, I forgot who they were though. But they were tasked to give out knowledge to the world when the world was destroyed and needed guidance. They cannot rule the people nor influences the people via politics, their only task is to help mankind survive through generations, at least in the novel.
As I was reading through the episodes, there are no words to explain the feelings. What Running man has presented…
Age comes with time. It's hard for them now to participate in endurance battle, running around like before. And of course variety show changes over time. I think audience just really miss the golden days of Sparta Kook or Yoo's Bond. Running Man gave us a decade worth of laughs, so we should support it the same. When its gone, the void will be great. Just like X-man, just like Family Outing. ):
Damn, PSH in a dress - 'chef kiss'. So that's why the dude who traveled back to meet his Mom said sorry to PSH, because the 'present' him was fed false information by the Control Bureau and he went to hunt her down.
So the Control Bureau knew of time-traveling from 2002 and now they need to find and kill Tae-Sul because he invented that time machine. Im just wondering why they didn't try to kill him off way earlier if they already knew? Unless they needed him to create the machine itself or have some important part of the machine created first, then kill him. Then the Control Bureau will have control over the past, present and future? Is that what the 'Key' they are trying so hard to find, might be a formula.
Oh no friends, I think Im dropping this series. I tried watching up until episode 6, but I just can't get into it. The actors and actresses are doing just fine, it's just that the style from this writer, I cannot get used to it and I do not see the appeal. ):
Although I do wish they had casted Kwak Dong Yeon as the second lead instead.
Nice list. I've read JOL novel and another favorite of mine is Wang Qi Nian, his antics with Fan Xian are hilarious, although he doesn't get much screen time. I think there was one time where Fan Xian was writing a secret letter to someone and at the end of the letter he said 'Qi Nian, keep reading letters I sent and I will have my guards peek when your daughter take a bath'. Lol. Jin Xia from Under The Power is also a great one, great actress too. Ah! I forgot, Haitang Duo Duo too!
It's so funny how she people talking suddenly about "logic" in action scenes just now but when Ji chang wook fought…
Damn, do you play volleyball? Because this is the farthest reach I've seen in this comment section. Lmfao. I had to actually went through 12 days of comments to see where this reach that you're saying is coming from. But Im incompetent and failed to find one. What I did find were people mentioning about her acting, and that's just opinions. Some like it, some don't. That's OK. Many discussed about the directing style and how the action scenes can be more believable/sense. Which doesn't discredit what Park Shin Hye can do, but more fault on the director/writer for not doing a better job. I don't think I came across anything regarding her being a WOMAN and beating people asses. Maybe I missed it. Stop reaching.
This drama reminds me of the American show Traveler (pretty awesome check it out). Since its only episode 4 out of 16, I'm not gonna comment on the storyline just yet. But I do wanna point out how ridiculous the action scenes are. lmao. It's such a joke. Im not a gun-savy so I'm not sure, but was that guy using a .50 cal sniper??? Lol. All those shooting, pistols or shotgun, at short range- Im surprised anyone has perfect hearing afterwards. And those Control Bureau officers are like Gru's Minions. Can't get anything done. :D.
He had a change of profession and now wanted to go into real estates. He need to blow up the building and remodel into the Korean's Disneyland that attract more tourists and increase the country's GDP, maybe. :D
They look competents, but I wonder if PSH have some superhuman abilities. :-)
I meannnn. Are they really? Episode 1 where she was at the train station, she was one girl and they had a whole 30+ people looking for her at that section, they didn't even branch out but just huddle together >.>. Then at episode 2, in the house where she fought hand to hand, again the space was small so they send in 5 agents so that's understandable, but then once she's outside on the balcony, you see at least 20 agents under the stairs just suddenly withdraw LOL, that part got me confused. Im assuming those guns aren't shoot to kill but to neutralized, as we see later on when Han Tae Sul took one to the head. But you're right, maybe she has super abilities, the description did say she's a soldier, so maybe modified/enhanced. But the way to film the scenario was just kinda absurd IMO lol.
In case you were hoping to see the mafiosi again, I am sure you will.Vincenzo (whose Italian is disgusting, someone…
Yeah definitely. I'll continue to watch a few more weeks to actually see, since this is just episode 1. I just thought it'll be cool since he had a mafias' background plus of how he took care of business in episode 1, we know he's not to be messed with. But then the comedic aspect of it kinds of throws me off... I was vibing with the seriousness then it switches >.>.
Saw the trailer a few weeks ago and was anticipating this. You don't really see much of the mafias in kdrama usually, so it pique my interests. However, now that after watching episode 1, I have a feeling that the mafia part was just only for episode 1. There were funny instances, but the portrayed humor was done in a 'loud' tone? If that make sense. Like exaggerated, big actions. I was really hoping for it to go the darker route since it involves the mafias but then I rewatched the trailer again and saw the tags on here, I guess the tone is lighter and comedy would be a bigger part in this. It's a shame because I think they shoot a different drama in the first 20 minutes, the vibe switched real fast.
Besides the great acting, I find myself skipping most scenes and still able to get the plot down. If I had to watch it while its airing, I might of dropped it. Sometimes the plot moved slow, some repetitive back and forth and seems like bad/good guys can't catch each other, perhaps its for the build up towards the end. But I did liked it to some extend, smart and clever MC, scientific/mystery (in drama terms), interesting plot.
Young Blood is a hidden gem, same mystery element, compelling characters, and intricate storytelling but lower…
Oh no. You've become too high on JoL my dudeee. Lol. Alot of people had that same impressions when they first watched Nirvana In Fire. They couldn't watch anything else because that drama set the bar too high. I suggest you take some breaks, else you wouldn't enjoy other dramas~
We'll wait a long time. The drama is in post-production. I don't know how long the team behind it takes to make…
Awesome, thanks for the update. I have been eyeing this for quite some time now, as most are. Historical Wuxia tropes are up my alley. :D. Plus it's the same screenwriter from Joy of Life and Young Blood. I enjoyed both adaptation and how they tweet some things to fit the drama. The casting are just 'chef kiss'; ZRY, Hu Jun, and Frida Li!
