Some sentence structures are messy, but the overall message can be delivered. Since she's mentally scarred and pretty much iffy in the head, that old man felt pity and takes her in and tour the world, while setting up evil plans. He's really nice to her. Anyways, he told her that Feng Nian lived such a miserable life, and that he should die. So she took that as 'Hmm, Ok, I guess its better to kill you with my hands than let you suffer' lol. She told Feng Nian this story on their journey together and he was speechless lmao.

They part ways, she goes with Cao Changqing to gather the Chu remnant, and Feng Nian goes on his journey, alone. They will meet here and there. Which Im assuming season2 will be based of off. His journey has alot of fighting and assassins (based on novel) It's exciting IMO.

Im afraid you won't see much of him. Maybe briefly in season2? D: unless they decide to change story like they did here.

In the novel, Fan Xian did tricked his enemy into thinking that he had left (although no backstabbing, I'll just assumed it was creative control). However, I'll stop there because it'll be alot of spoilers.

Caught up on episode 30. I like the consistency they kept with some things that was in the novel, like how Qing Niao always wear green and now we're seeing Qing Feng in purple, and of course Jiang Ni in white. The novel Qing Feng was ruthless and a charmer, I am glad they casted someone of similar feel. She was very charming as Si LiLi in JOL also.

Although the novel is a harem, there's no tag for it here and so I guess the director left it out, even though there were multiple hints throughout the show indicating that Feng Nian did have multiple *possible* love interests; Qing Niao, Hong Zhu, Wang Chudong, etc. Not romance focus, which is fine. It's just a tiny bit pity that they didn't show some close relationship Feng Nian had with Qing Niao on the journey. With Jiang Ni staring in the back, I don't blame em. :D

Since they wrote his character like this, I am wondering if it's the decision of the writer to do so or did the writer wrote similar to novel but then the director wanted to portrayed it differently? Since Wang Juan wrote JOL and Fan Xian drama was very similar to novel Fan Xian, so maybe for this project, the writer wanted to go for a different route, since he don't want to make JOL and SSS have 2 similar characters? lol

At 400 right now, there's really no one chapter that indicate the cultivation hierarchy, but they do drop names every now and then, especially when new comer arrives or when talking about the grandmasters like Cao Changqing, Deng Tai He, WXZ and the likes. Since it's machine translate, it is probably the literal terms, I just wanted to know the actual names lol.

The drama tamed him. I did liked Feng Nian drama version compare to Feng Nian in the novel in its earlier chapters, because he was such a scoundrel lol. But at later chapters, he was much better. Pity drama did not showcase some awesome scenes depicted in novel.

Btw, are you reading raw source of this novel? And if you are, mind letting me know (if you are able to) the cultivation level hierarchy? I am reading using a machine translation and they translate the cultivation as Vajra Realm, Profound Realm, Rank One, Two, or even Astronomical Realm... hahah.

MC has a harem in the novel, but I don't think they will put that into the drama adaptation. if anything, they'll probably put those ladies as love interests or hinting that they are. No romance focus, but there are subtle hints. Even in the novel, it's not romance focus either (:

You should. I am reading it atm (although only understanding roughly 70-80% of it). It's great, but this author LOVESSSS to describe things, so it is like walls of texts. He reminds me of Mao Ni. I love Mao Ni's work.
