Oh by forum you mean the comment section? Recently someone spammed this place with hateful comments (trust me, it wasn't criticism). She later came back with another account. So some sensitive people here are probably mistaking you for her.
Maybe it's my imagination but I feel like it's been much healthier ever sinve, and actually very healthy today.

For one, I don't really consider him dead, knowing even headbands can cultivate to human form, let alone a consciousness attached to his own dna.
I'm more upset about the character being mistreated right until the end by the supposedly righteous characters. Sometimes he was pretty much treated like a sacrificial object and others' reactions were so... normal. This combined with the ending feels redundant and gives out a problematic message. And whenever I try complain about it, everyone takes it like their ancestors were insulted lol
Your words about the promise of something special, only to end underwhelmingly, is exactly how I feel.
Still I disagree that the fandom has to try a lot to hold it up. I myself gave FOF a relatively high rating because I find it unique and much more gripping than most Cdramas I've seen, even the famous ones (I've dropped many).
To be honest, I also wished they would have showed us more of Bai Jiu and Zhao Yuan Zhou. Given their first interactions…
I feel this in my soul honestly. There's a page on Instagram that posted lots of FOF short videos. The ones about these two's chaos have the most views by a large gap. I was really impressed by how they managed to write such a fun and fresh dynamic and was pretty sure it's gonna lead to an equally interesting conclusion

Honestly it felt kind of anticlimactic for me too, considering the one whose death was constantly foreshadowed died in the almost exact way that was predicted. Imo the extra eposode made it much better, but since it wasn't included in the drama itself, I can understand people's frustration.
"In the end classically, the good die young leaving the ones that spent most of their days being righteous or pious living to ripe old age." Man, if I'd tried to say this in here, I'd get a virtual execution on the spot π

This still doesn't answer my question π How does Baize goddess' survival mean the end of the cycle?
Exactly. Malicious energy doesn't disappear. I agree that ZYC is probably safe from it, but doesn't mean no one/including ZY will become strong enough for the malicious energy to want their body again. WX's survival can't stop it from happening or end the cycle. At best she can share the baize token.
And if CLS ended the cycle, it still has nothing to do with WX's survival.

"baize presence make the destiny different then the rest of the generations"
I'm curious about how you arrived at this conclusion. Baize couldn't prevent ZY from becoming the vessel before. Why could its existence end the cycle now?
Your dad is cool π Mine saw it and was like "is this a video game? π€¨"
Yes, he actually said something like "I think these aren't real people" after seeing the actors π He said this before about a couple other Cdramas I watched. But FOF was too much.
True that haha Everyone is gorgeous in this βΊοΈ I prefer a bit less makeup tbh. But here it didn't really bother me.

See? Cool π
My dad didn't mean it in a bad way. He's more of a traditional Hong Kong movies guy, so this much CGI was too much for him I guess. I had to show him some bts to prove they're real people π I think he even looked a little impressed after that π

*At least it's a happy dream*
And iirc iqiyi chose that exact episode to take a break after π
