I don't think LYN would refuse 2nd billing actually. My fear is the fit of this role. Xiao Shao, like all of this writer's ML, are stunningly handsome men. I personally love LYN, but I can't imagine the vitriol he would received some cnetz for taking on this kind of role. I also love Li Yitong, but even Jiang Ruan, should go to someone who has a more seductive beauty. Unless of course, if they change the script and character setting quite a bit. But I would love to see these two paired up together.

QZ mentioned that Chai Ming is only 19. QZ should be closer to NYZ's age as he once mentioned having know NYZ almost/over 20s years and YL said he's called "Lao Qian" because he's old. YL is only 18.

I've seen him in a few shows but this has got to be my favorite role of his. Gets to show off his pretty face while being cute and exasperating at the same time lol.

Whenever they cast a good looking guy for such a role, esp Lee Joon Hyuk, you know they're playing with us.

Sigh. When will our little Rang grow up lol. I felt like Shin Joo and Lee Yeon peeping at the flowers and date lol. Major character development arc for Rang as an adult independent from his feelings about his brother. I feel audiences can sense Lee Rang naturally has a lot of tender and delicate emotions that aren't expressed properly because of his self-identified "shitty upbringing". I guess immortals don't go to therapy.

hmm perhaps look at it from the perspective of Korean viewers. If they sanitized the show (because it's really not anti-Japan but anti-colonization), then what would Koreans think? I imagine we'd have no more show! We're saying it's not political, but historical fact that Japan colonized Korea and left it in ruin.

The actress is indeed a tad green. However, I'm personally sooo happy we got to see some combat skills, determination, and learn her age! She became a lot closer to the love interest I imagined for Rang. I also like the idea that he gets fearlessly pursued because it's nice to see someone pick him first.

She's cute in episode 4...but it's just that the actress probably feels a little green compared to the other more experienced actors. Maybe we need to see her interactions with other's beyond just being a love interest.
