I like all of your "prime" examples LOL. Even the moms in that version were knockouts. ZLS is a cutie and I'd put her in the cutie category of good-looking girls. All the actresses you mentioned, and the moms lol, are beauties of another higher caliber, including LYF. Maybe the young ppl who are ZLS fans just have a different aesthetic. I feel that LYF and ZLS are only similar where their eyes are not too round and overly large compared to their facial proportions (which a lot of celebrities favor now).

Out of all the shifus, CJJ is the most complex or grey regarding his personal choices. It's interesting that the most "perfect" cadet (on paper) got the most "imperfect" master. I don't agree with a lot of CJJ's actions but he's a layered and interesting character, esp the dynamic with his wife and MIL. People aren't perfect but there are still other people who love and care about them (like LDW's dad too). On another note, Yang Shu, who started out quite self-righteous, has become a lot more forgiving as a person due to the way his master is and what he's seen on the job.

about Yang Yang's acting, sigh, I agree. His range and range of characters are pretty suitable for him: perfect guys. Honestly, I really wanted to see FLX and HC face off more because I thought the contest was between them. HC is currently extremely charismatic! Drama FLX has no ambition haha. IDC what others say because it's pretty clear the drama FLX only wants the beauty and not the world, even if he as opinions. It's not the same. At least BFX knows what she wants and sets her apart from other characters - to be carefree...so much so that she doesn't even go and take care of her kingdom and father ::shrugs::

I loved Mindhunter on Netflix and am so excited to watch the rest of this show. Kim Nam Gil's poker face in front of suspects is something to be admired. I appreciate that he's written as a humble, sensitive, and caring person. In addition to his acting, his skin is excellent!

This is interesting, but I expected to see more cheongsams. le sigh. I love Zhang Haowei but his character reminds me of all the FLs that are reckless and get away with their antics because of luck. Hoping this is MLs "youthful" phase lol. What kind of guy with no policy background thinks it's his place to meddle in foreign trade policy LOL. Everyone's critique on the show was correct.

FL was annoying in beginning but the actress is great in all her more serious scenes. I've never seen a junzhu that wanders around all day tho lol. All the side characters are wonderful and three dimensional.

I came to watch this for Liu Xueyi and my dude did not disappoint! I don't know about any ratings, but I hope people walked away noticing that he deserves meaty roles. I love the way Tianqi and Yuemi love others - selflessly and with great dignity. Watching this show though, you'd think immortals had more "administrative" work to do in heaven. lol. Only Zhiyang was pushing papers lol and not falling in love.

I watched up to episode 30. I have no idea how Mu Guang and Wu Huan raised their children. smh. 2 out 3 rotten apples is not a good track record. Immortals don't go to school to learn to be good citizens or something?

It's not really romance driven. The couple with the obvious romance line is Tagon and Taealha and it's quite complex and intense in a good way. The one that involves Tanya, Eun Som, and Saya is still budding and worth watching it unfold. They're young characters and still doing the growing up part of their individual journeys.

I think I've seen enough to decide what I personally like or dislike. At the time of the comment, I had seen her in The Third Way of Love, Ever Night 1&2 and Prince of Tennis. Since the comment was made, I've watched Flavor it's Yours and Professional Single. Normally, I watch roughly 1/3 of a show to decide if I want to buy what the CP is selling. I checked out her works despite not being a fan to see if I could be a fan. Sorry, still not a fan. I think that perfectly okay because people can and do have different preferences.

I tend to shy away from Zhao Lusi's dramas because I'm not a fan of the youth romantic genre, but wow she's blowing me away as Leyan! Leyan is completely unlike any role she's played before and such a realistic character. Despite being scared and alone after getting kidnapped, she's still kind to others. There are consequences for her kindness, but they don't change her. She cries because many if us would in the same situation. I have yet to hear her whine or agonize over her situation. I hope this character remains true to her loyalties and kindness! Yeah, I love Hao Du and Leyan too. Girl, give up on that Shuyu gege; your sister already did lol.

My lineup has Bo Yuan as Captain and Yu Gengyin as Vice-Captain lmaooo I went to rewatch YwY1 to check out BY's performance back then...he was already fantastic (just low-key tense all the time lololol). Bo Yuan was getting complimented left and right by mentors but got slept on by fans and editing. This season in Chuang, I will try to remember to vote enthusiastically!! lol
